The night before my check in I called and requested a pickup from the airport , the driver was waiting. However there was fee of 110 Riyals for the pickup each way. Most 5 star hotels offer complimentary airport shuttles. The reception clerk was informative, helpful, quick and professional. The room was small for a 5star hotel but clean. The air conditioning […] in the hallways was not working or insufficient to keep up with the outside temperature, it was 44 degrees. 3 out of the scenic elevators were out of order. "Only good if a prime location for you"
Generally the service, security, restaurant and amenities are good. However, everything is rather run down and many things are faulty. The lifts often don't work, and when they do, they are slow. The internet is additional cost, and you pay separately for wired in your room and wireless in the lobby, which is criminal really. The gym is small, but […] good, with a large if shallow pool. Overall, if you need to be close to this area (for instance for NIC), it is worth staying here, but make sure you get a Superior room, giving you access to the Executive Lounge. "Riyadh Marriott"
For the price, this hotel cannot be beat. The hotel has some age to it, but the rooms were clean and the lobby was fine. The hotel employees were very courteous. I went to the concierge and told him I needed a car and driver for the afternoon, and in 20 minutes car and driver were ready.
