THE MARINA INN - San Leandro

The hotel is situated at San Leandro marina, accross the street from a golf course. At night you can take a short walk on the shore and observe airplanes heading for landing at Oakland airport. The hotel is about 10 min drive from the nearest BART station, which makes it an inconvenient choice if you have to commute downtown. For San Francisco sightseeing it would be better to stay downtown. For our purposes the location was very good as we visited our friends in San Leandro and had a rental car to get around. If you're looking for a quiet out of the way place this one will do. There are two good restaurants in easy walking distance on one side and a pretty nice walk along the water on the other. San Leandro is not a hot spot but it is quiet and not far from San Francisco via BART.

we figured since we were paying so much for a room that it would be nicer than it was, we could have stayed at a budget inn and got the same thing for 70$ less.. wont be doing that again.. though the people working were all very nice.. just not worth what we had to spend..

I love to get away, but stay close to home. This hotel is perfect. The restarunts are in walking distance, the sunset is perfect, the cost is affordable. I would recommend this hotel.

I think this inn is quite cute! they have fresh cookies at 5pm and you can help yourself to their fruit bowl and coffee and tea! The hotel room is very nice, I really like their linen, it is actual comforters, blankets, soft throws, and nice fluffy pillows! Usually most hotels you go to they have this cover blanket, but they actually have comforters […] and 4 fluffy pillows, not some itchy deflated ones! The bathroom is quite nice, despite the fact it was just a shower, but a quite spacious ones! I really like how the bathroom is also split in half where the shower and toilet has their own closed door, and the sink and mirror is outside. So great for sharing with people in the room! It was all very goo.

We found this hotel clean,and the staff friendly and efficient. The breakfast was healthful and delicious. We appreciated the safe and quiet location and the pleasant places to walk. It more than fulfilled our needs and we have already recommended it to family members, who have booked their stay.

Hector from the front desk was very nice, hepfull and professional. He also gave us a very nice room for our our honeymoon and made sure we got a present to our room, a bottle of wine and delicious chocolates. The location was beautiful, hotel is next to the marina.
