The service, maintenance, and location of the Divani Caravel are all excellent. Staff were eager to help answer questions, housekeeping personnel were consistently on call and cleaned the rooms multiple times a day, and the hotel is located near a major metro stop (Evangelismos). There are also several excellent restaurants, bars, shops, museums, and […] other attractions within a short walk of the hotel. The buffet breakfast and room service are incredibly tasty, although also incredibly pricey (though the steep price may be warranted). The price for wireless internet and the use of the exercise equipment was also costly, though similar to other nearby hotels. This hotel is well located and well run. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was mostly quiet except for the clicking of heels from the room above. Athens is a noisy city if you are on the big avenues like the nearby Hilton but the Divani Caravel does not have this problem. Outstanding staff.

The hotel was perfectly pleasant, but far from what we expected from a 5*. More like a 3-4* hotel at 5* prices. The lobby is very impressive, but the rooms were very small and the décor quite dated. Beds very comfortable but extras such as internet were very overpriced, and the TV channels very difficult to access through their TV-computer system (What's […] wrong with a simple remote control?). Poor sound proofing meant we could hear staff shouting in the corridor quite often and music from surrounding rooms. There were also very few power sockets in the room, and none of them were spare so you have to unplug lamps etc if you want to use your own laptop or other device. Bathroom was well equipped with toiletries and even a toothbrush for those that might have forgotten, but the shower leaked in 2 of the 3 rooms we had for the 2 nights. We did not eat in the Hotel restaurant, but we had a few drinks in the bar as this was more reasonable than the in-room mini bar. Without mentioning specific rates, a small can of beer in the mini bar was around 8 times more expensive than if you bought the exact same size and brand can in a newsagents 50metres from the hotel...Mark ups are expected but that was beyond excessive. The breakfast was nice, but once again we felt this fell short of what we expected from a 5*, there was not much variety and it was difficult to try and get more coffee from the staff. Great overall experience...from the doorman to the hotel gift shop....( nice gman bought me a coffee while I was shopping). It was a great experience. I didn't even mind paying for internet because it was so reasonably price. (5 euro per hr). Alittle hike but can even walk to Syndagma Square. (15 to 20 min). The Divani Caravel is my preferred hotel choice in its neighborhood because of its overall comfortable feel and convenient location to my business needs. While it is ranked as a five star hotel, it doesn't present itself as stuffy and pretentious. Rather, it is more friendly and cozy because of the generous wood paneling on the upper floors and in the […] guest rooms. Wonderful hotel and the staff was very friendly. Would stay again.

No wireless internet! Wired ethernet connection provided, with seamless and fast connection. NO POWER OUTLETS available!!! Every available outlet in both rooms we had were fully occupied by lamps, table clock/radio, tv or minibar fridge. THis means you have to unplug something to plug in your laptop. Bathroom is roomy and nice, but layout of shower […] means a lot of water sprays over the top of the sliding glass half-door and you will inevitably inundate the bathroom. My soaked fresh underwear and slippers were sad testimony to this. Otherwise, the hotel is quiet and comfortable. The front desk staff were not very helpful in obtaining or recommending a private tour guide, but one of the doormen was. I recommend you hire a private taxi for the day with a knowledgeable driver who will explain the sights and take you everywhere. Since parking is next to impossible in Athens (especially at all must-see sites) the driver always stays behind with his vehicle while you wander off on your own. The only other alternative is a guided group tour (which I don't really like to much, but that's a personal preference.) The Divani Caravel is a nice hotel that I would rate at 3-1/2 stars. Et helt igennem fantastisk hotel med meget venlig betjening. Super tagterrasse med udsigt over byen. Rigtig fin beliggenhed 15 min. gang fra midtbyens turistliv, Rigtig god restaurant 2 min gang fra hotellet.

Excelente Hotel. Muito confortável, longe do grande movimento, mas suficientemente perto para aproveitar a Plaka.

O café-da-manha deixa a desejar. Entretanto é compensado pelo preço bem economico A melhor coisa do hotel, sem duvida, é o lustre do hall, mas que não é a principal coisa que o turista procura, sem duvida.

The title "Old school hotel" should be read in a positive sense. It is not a flashy high tech, boutique hotel or any other buzz word. It does what hotels used to do, and it does so very well. My […] only objection is the tarifs for wireless Internet. the fee for 48 hours was really over the top. Stayed recently in a riad in Marrakech medina -and there it was for free.
