Even though I booked this room last minute, I was still hoping it would be ok. Yeah, no. The room smelled like smoke even though it was a non smoking room. The sheets & bedding reeked of smoke. Everything was very clean and the staff professional only complaint was it was difficult finding the address provided on my Gps. I had to call a neighboring hotel that was listed on my gps to give me directions.

I stayed in this hotel for one night while attending the University of North Texas' graduation ceremony. We reserved two rooms and upon first glance they appeared to be clean. The first red flag was the roaches. I went to wash my hands and as I moved the soap, a roach scuttled out from under the package. I took a nap and when I woke, I noticed there […] was a red smudge on the sheet right next to me. As it turns out, the bed had bed bugs in it and one had bit me during my nap. As I inspected the sheets, I noticed several crawling around. On was even on my pillow. This discovery prompted the others to look through their room and my sister found what appeared to be a large blood stain on her mattress. Also, after she finished takin a shower, the front desk called and asked her not to use the bath anymore because water was leaking onto the front desk. For all of our trouble they did move us to another room and comp our stay but it still was not worth it. They claim the hotel was recently renovated but I don't see how it was improved. This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel, and while the hotel staff are superb, the cleaning staff is really slack. Only stayed two nights this last time, and barely spent any time in the hotel, so it was tolerable, but I couldn't do it for longer trips. My first impression of the hotel as we drove up was negative. We drove around the hotel twice because we couldnt even figure out where the front door was. The hotel itself it pretty cramped. The elevator is hard to miss because it blends in with the other doors. I have a baby and the hotel said that they had a portable crib I could use for her. My hotel stay was horrible. I was given room #102 and it was the epitome of a roach motel. The sheets were dirty with stains and hair on them. The towels had the same hair on them. The tub was dirty and looked like housekeeping dumped dirty mop water and never went back to rinse it out. Days Inn Denton was close to Interstate, easy to access. first room air conditioning dd not work. Staff were very helpful and changed to new room. This room had terrible mold smell. The hotel was generally run down and needed to be overhauled. The staff was friendly but some of the other guests looked like a rough crowd. This motel (emphasis on the MO) was very difficult to get to. The GPS doesn't like the address for one and when you search for Day's Inn it takes you to a Knights Inn (that USED to be a Days Inn - or so I was told when I called the number on my reservation email. I checked ahead of time about pets so I was surprised to have to pay an additional deposit […] for my 12 pound dog when I arrived. By the way - he never so much as barked and refuses to eat when we travel. Nothing in... nothing out... The elevator was a little scary and very small. The shoddily patched hole in the wall by the elevator button was discouraging. Wallpaper slapped on isn't suitable to patch a wall - It made me wonder how they make other repairs of the facility. The halls reek of cigarette smoke. We saw a guest step outside the open door of her room to have a smoke. Our non-smoking room did have an ashtray... just in case, I suppose. The worst was the fact that the temps outside were well over 100° that day and the A/C was NOT on - not even on low. Our room was sweltering at 2 AM when we checked in and we were dripping wet. By 7 AM it had cooled down enough that I could cover with a sheet since I was right next to the unit. The lamps beside the beds were non-functional as was the alarm clock. I guess it was a bad electrical outlet. The bathroom was very tiny. You can only close the door if you step into the tub and it won't even open all the way since the ironing board and iron are hung in the tub/toilet room We only saw two (live) cockroaches in our room and a dead bee in the in-room coffee pot. Other than that, it appeared "clean". The breakfast bar was basically a continental breakfast - only with no fresh fruit and the yogurt in a tube. I'm not an astronaut and like my yogurt in a cup. Carbs were basically the only offering. And the breakfast bar police are they to let you know that no food can be removed from the area - not even back to your room. I had to kill a roach in my room I couldn't sleep comfortably at all after that...I left the hotel & drove home a night early so I could get some rest...

If you are on tight budget and needs a place to stay, this hotel is good for that price. I will stay again in this hotel the next time I go back to Texas.

We needed something affordable, so, we went looking through Hotels.com. We got such a phenominal rate, we were a little skeptical. Upon arrival, the hotel was older, but well kept. She didn't take the time to find the other room that we had booked and we gave her the reservation number and names and she didn't try to find the other room for us. The heat or air did not work and there was nothing they could do so they said.

The "newly" remodeledd Days Inn Denton is a dump. There was no refrigerator in the room. The room was musty and smelled of mold. The room door did not closed automatically, you had to slam it shut. The cold breakfast was supposed to have pastries, but they only left them out for 30 minutes and then pulled them from the breakfast area and took them into […] the office for the staff to eat. The live-in staff monopolized the opublic computer and the lobby seating area so guests could not use them. The live-in staff monopolized the closest and most convenient handicapped parking space so it was not available to guests. The swimming pool was green and dirty and needed attention. The light bulbs were so dim that you had to turn on every light to be able to see in the room. The only bright spot was the lady who cleaned our room as she did as good a job as she could with what she had to work with. We were more than pleased with every aspect of our stay. Everyone was helpful and friendly as well as professional. The room was clean, comfortable, and convenient to access. the room had a musty smell and there was a portable humidifier running to take the smell out. Killed 4 roaches and had to ask for toilet paper. The carpet was very stained. Overall it was just plain dirty.

You definiely will get what you pay for...I was trying to cut cost and stay in a room for a cheap rate - BIG MISTAKE. As soon as you walk into the folyer, it smelled like old pee in the carpet. For the price and checking in late one night, the room was fine. The room was cooled upon arrival but other than that, what do you expect for the price.

Check in was quick and painless. About 15 minutes after we got into the room water started to pour out of the bathroom light fixture. The hotel was quick to fix the problem, but it's one of those things that shouldn't happen in the first place.

The young lady at the front desk was very friendly and had us checked in promptly. But - this hotel was inexpensive for a reason - it is old. Our room was musty, and somewhat moldy smelling - the AC had been off for who knows how long - and it was loud. However, it DID blow COLD. We immediately threw the stained (yuck) comforters onto the floor and […] found the mattresses covered in plastic (good). The beds were, for the most part, comfortable and we slept well. You could tell there had been water leaks from the stains on the walls, the toilet did not flush well, and water from the drain did not drain well. Not a lot of variety to choose from for dining and the roads around the hotel are very confusing especially at night.

The second day (Sunday) of our stay, the internet was down and when I called the front desk they gave me a 1-800 number that gave me a busy signal. The hotel is located on I-35, between two other hotel chains and Denny's. After we found it, everything was great. There was no one behind the desk when I arrived and I had to wait about 5 minutes to be checked in. The lobby smelled bad and looked shabby. The room did not have a microwave or mini fridge. The beds were lumpy. And the cable reception was horrible.

clean room, nice staff, fast check in and out, free wifi, great stay for the price.

I'm not saying all Days Inns are bad. I've been to several and been very happy with them. But this one had major ventilation problems. The humidity in the room was so bad that the pillows would get wet spots with my head just being on them for a few minutes. And yes I did turn up the AC to get the humidity out.
