La Quinta Inn & Suites Hayward / Oakland Airport - Χέιγουαρντ

Spent two nights here. This hotel is pretty decent. Clean , good customer service. Free breakfast that was not bad at all, they had various foods such as waffles (diy) eggs, bagels, cereal, coffee, tea, juice. On monday they even had bacon. Not bad at all!

Nice mid-grade hotel conveniently located in Hayward. We were there to pick up crab early AM the next AM for our Lion's Club Crab Feed. This hotel was the perfect location and provided a nice breakfast so we didn't have to worry about that. The room was good, clean and comfy and roomy. My one suggestion would be offering a list with menus and locations […] of local restaurants. The yellow pages only had addresses and phone #s and the hotel staff didn't have a clue either so I had to "demon dial" until I found something that would suit us. We went to a family owned seafood restaurant in Old Town Hayward( sorry, I was bad and didn't write down the name of it). Good food at reasonable prices. The hotel is easy to locate and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Room was clean and comfortable but don’t forget to check the amenities before going to sleep. Alarm clock went off at 03:30 playing Mariachi Music and I didn’t notice there was no shower curtain until I needed it in the morning.

Hotel right off the 880 freeway and at a great location. Have Target and other restaurants/fast foods its surroundings. One of the few hotels that doesn't smell!

I stayed at La Quinta because it is the only Hotel close to family and considered safe in Hayward. The Hotel needs a make over...carpet looks dirty and the walls needs a major painting. The front door should be more accessible to wheelchair...I had a hard time entering the building with my daughter...the doors are not automatic. The stuff is friendly […] and helpful. It is in a very convenient location for us. Very friendly people.

I often travel to the East Bay for work, and if I have any say in things, I stay at this hotel. The location is very easy to get to, the rooms are comfortable, and there are a lot of little things that show they're interested in giving you a good stay (expect a phone call a few minutes after you arrive in your room asking if everything looks ok). There […] is a reception in the lobby each night, with finger food to eat and beer for sale. The breakfast includes a basic hot meal, usually eggs and sausage, plus a waffle maker that actually works. The neighborhood has a number of decent restaurants - head up A street to downtown if the ones in walking distance aren't what you want. BART is also just up the road in that direction, with free parking. Cons - the room is comfortable, but the TV and cable are kind of limited. The TVs are old and have somewhat poor picture quality, and don't have inputs for a game system or DVD player. ALL WAS FINE BUT SOMEONE GOT SICK IN THE PARKING LOT AND AT THE BACK DOOR I REPORTED THIS CONDITION TO FRONT DESK NOT BEING ABLE TO ENTER THE BUILDING (AT REAR DOOR) I WAS HOUSEKEEPING LOOK AT THE PROBLEM HE SHE NO NOT ME AND WALKED AWAY THAT WAS SATURDAY MORNING ON MORNING THE CONDITION WAS THE SAME

Have stayed at this hotel on at least 3 other ocassions, and always had a pleasant experience. However, this time there was no parking (had to park at a grocery store across the street because 4 large trucks were parked crossways in parking spots), the towel bar fell off the wall, and they double booked my room! The location is not the best. The vanity sink was clogged and the bed very uncomfortable. Truelly they can spend on down comforters and newer pillows for the price of the room. Why?, even put coffee maker in room when theirs not enough sugar and cream packets. Also, ordered adult movie and was charged $92.00 when the movie was initailly suppose to be […] $16.99. Of course the billing clerk overcharged and I'm still waiting for my refund to deposit into my bank...Other than that it was an overnighter and that's probably the best part of the whole weekend. Convenient location, however the parties on weekends were very noisy. People were very loud on the hall outside the bedrooms during the weekend. Radio and TV were very loud. The ladies of the night were allowed to enter the hotel and some people would open the back door for people who were not guests there. Very friendly front desk. The only problem for us was that they don't have an accessible shower for wheelchairs. It made very difficult for me to help my daughter going in and getting out of the bathtub. Unsafe for people with physical disability. Other than that the place is very clean and comfortable.

This hotel is perfect for a business trip. The staff are prepared for quality service and attention. The hotel is clean. They serve a typical breakfast in the morning. There is a pool, banquet rooms, elevators, etc. The room is clean and comfortable. My only real complaint is that my room was way too crowded with furniture.

The bed at the hotel was probably one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. I did not want to get out of it!!!! If you need rest....the beds at this hotel are the best.

Overall the hotel was beautiful. I stayed there while visiting some family members in the area. The location was very convenient as it was near Target, Starbuck's Coffee, and several other stores. The staff were friendly and helpfull at all times. The room was clean without any traces of previous hotel guests. I had to make a quick business trip to Hayward recently and knew that the area was not the greatest. I have stayed at several LaQuintas so I thought I would be fine. The hotel is clean on the inside but smelled like mildew. I checked in late in the evening and the reception was very cold. My room was clean but the floor creaked very badly with every […] footstep. I felt terrible for the people below me. The bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows were so flat they rendered themselves useless. I had to leave early in the morning and thought I would take advantage of the free breakfast. It was barely 7 am and there was nothing left. I ended up taking the last tiny cup of yogurt. Price was appropriate-and breakfast was good. Many choices. Room had a microwave and refrigerator which is always a plus. Bedding was clean. Beds a little soft for my liking, but otherwise good. LaQuinta is not my first choice in a hotel- but this one was pleasantly clean, quiet and comfortable. I would stay here again if in the area.

See comments made earlier. Appearance very much down-graded. Continental breakfast very poor in food quality and patrons attending.

The hotel was not as nice as depicted in the online pictures. It was a little run down. Not as clean as I expected. the carpet was dirty and stained. The sink did not drain properly. was okay for the price like hampton inns better and same price value

I spent the night there with my daughter on Christmas day and we were very satisfied. Parking was well lit and the area very quiet.

I stay frequently in this area and had used another hotel. I prefer this one because it is close to shops and restaurants. Very large welcoming lobby. Made good first impression. Discount at nearby restaurant a nice bonus.

Only one minor complaint. The scrambled eggs at the complimentary breakfast were very over-cooked on both the days we were there. They were almost rubbery from being cooked too much. Other than that everything with our stay was just fine and I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Breakfast buffet was good, hotel clean, staff friendly enough. Only negative - outdoor heated pool was not heated. Stayed in November w/3 kids, specifically asked beforehand. One person said the heater was broken and another said they don't heat it in the winter (??).

Hotel was in a great location...easy access to freeways and plenty of food places to eat on same street, and access to common Grocery chains, as well as Walmart and Target. The room was beautifully appointed with wardrobe cabinet, tv enclosed in cabinet with clothes drawers and a desk to use laptop at. WiFi is a plus and worked well. In room hair blow dryer is a nice amenity and the space on the countertop was very good for 2 persons toiletries. Lobby is beautiful, airy, clean. I did not need to use the business center […] on the second floor but I did check it out. It has a computer and fax machine. We really love being able to have breakfast included in our stay and it is nice...cheese omelet, make your own waffle, boiled eggs, yogurt, hot and cold cereals, variety of coffees and teas. Just perfectly convenient when you have to catch a plane. Next to the hotel are a few eating places , Starbucks and Target. Across the highway is a mall.
