Location.
The Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego is adjacent to the Seaport Village retail complex in San Diego, Calif. The hotel is one block from the San Diego Convention Center and two blocks from the Gaslamp Quarter.
Hotel Features.
A marble-floored lobby leads to Retail Row, which includes the Regency Gift Shop and the Madison Fine Art store. On-site dining features Lael's, serving American cuisine. Sally's Seafood on the Water is open for lunch and dinner everyday and breakfast on the weekends and boasts an international blend of culinary styles. The club-style Top of the Hyatt serves cocktails and affords lofty views of San Diego Bay, while Redfield's Sports Bar and Deli offers sports-bar atmosphere with 21 plasma-screen televisions and a cigar bar. Ann Marie's prepares specialty coffees and pastries. A full-service business center offers fax, photocopy, print and courier services. A total of 30 function room includes two ballrooms and encompasses 135,000 square feet of space. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel for a fee. Recreational amenities include four tennis courts, two outdoor pools, three spa tubs, saunas and a fitness center that contains cardiovascular and weight-training machines, and free weights. The Regency Spa offers spa services such as massages, facials and body wraps. Additional hotel amenities include a rental car agency, concierge assistance and currency exchange.
Guestrooms.
The Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego offers 1,625 guestrooms distributed between a 40-story tower and a 33-story tower. Hyatt Grand beds are designed with pillowtop mattresses and feature triple sheeting. Décor features include dark-toned furniture and mint-and-gold color schemes. Floor-to-ceiling windows partially open and afford city or partial-bay views. Bathrooms are stocked with Portico toiletries.

Government-issued photo identification and a credit card or cash deposit are required at check-in for incidental charges.

Kin Spa, overlooking the San Diego Bay, offers full body massages, rejuvenation treatments, facials using high quality natural ingredients, manicures and pedicures, and hair styling.
Lael's - This casual restaurant serves American breakfast buffets every morning. Terrace seating is available.
Sally's Seafood on the Water - Open for lunch and dinner everyday and breakfast on the weekends. Set apart from the hotel, at the edge of the marina, this upscale restaurant specializes in fresh seafood and sushi. Dine indoors or outside on the patio overlooking the bay. Chef's table in the exhibition kitchen is also available for a unique dining experience for groups of 6-12.
Top of the Hyatt - Poised 40 stories above San Diego Bay (with numerous windows and expansive views) this rooftop lounge offers a clubby atmosphere for cocktails.
Ann Marie's - Specialty coffees, pastries, bagels, and other snacks are available at this café, located outside the rear of the hotel.
Redfield's Sports Bar and Deli - Lounge, sports bar, and bistro serving entrees, made-to-order specialties, cocktails, and specialty martinis. Casual indoor and outdoor dining. Features darts, billiards, and 21 plasma screen televisions. Cigar bar.
The Manchester Grand Hyatt features Regency Spa & Salon on the third floor. Spa packages include access to the lap pool and spa tub. A fitness room (surcharge) is on the fourth floor of the Seaport Tower, and also offers a sauna. A second outdoor swimming pool is on the fourth floor between the two towers and is surrounded by a sundeck, two spa tubs, and a fire pit. The hotel also offers four tennis courts.

San Diego’s waterfront airport lies northwest of downtown, which is home to the San Diego Convention Center, PetCo Park stadium, and the Gaslamp Quarter’s. "I would recommend this Hotel to anyone!"
We wen't for a "Stay-cation" and we loved it! The location is beautiful! The hotel is immaculate & the service was impeccable! I've stayed in a lot of hotels & I think that this may have been the best one yet! I woudl recommend this hotel to anyone either visiting San Diego, or those of us who live further inland & just wan to play "Tourist" in our […] beautiful city! "Beautiful view"
This was an awesome end to our 10-day road trip! Relaxing, beautiful weather and room. Everyone we encountered was friendly and extremely helpful and accomodating. Will definitely stay here again.

"Great Hotel"
I lived in San Diego for 14 years, and I stay at the Hyatt whenever I go back. It's definitely one of the nicest hotels in SD. Beautiful lobby, great pool area, and nice big rooms with great views of downtown and Coronado. the service is also excellent and they go out of their way to make your stay comfortable.

The Hotel is beautiful and perfectly located - on the Bay and just a few blocks from the Gaslight District with its Restaurants, Bars and Dance places. "EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE"
I WAS TRULY AMAZED WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE THE HYATT PROVIDED FOR ME. OPEN DOOR SERVICE, I HAD A HANGOVER AND THEY PROVIDED ME WITH COMPLIMENTARY CRACKERS AND A SPRITE & WATER FOR MY PARTY, EXTENDED CHECK OUT TILL 1PM AND VERY GOOD SWEET ASSOCIATES WHO WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO ASSIST ME.
"You CAN hear the trains from the 34th floor!"
The hotel is beautiful and every single member of the staff that we encountered was amazing, professional, and helpful. As a light sleeper/insomniac, I begged for a room as far from the elevator, ice machine and supply closet as possible and got exactly what I asked for. I chuckled when the train started wailing early in the morning, as I was told at […] check in that we were high and facing away from the track and would not hear the trains. It was like the scene in the movie "My Cousin Vinny." It wasn't an ongoing issue and was even entertaining. The bed was uncomfortable, but I do have a lower back issue and it may not be problematic for normal backs. The lack of a ventilation fan in the bathroom (which probably explains the peeling wallpaper) was a minor problem. We used the blow dryer a lot to defog the mirror. On the very positive side, the location was spectacular. We enjoyed walks up the coastline to have fun at tourist attractions and shops, and appreciated the brief walk into the historic Gaslight district for amazing restaurant experiences every night. This is great hotel! I had my two children with me and they loved it. Room service had a kids menu and all of the staff were very friendly to my family. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again!
"Not the best choice for the area"
Nice location but two big issues. A group of guests loudly entered their room around 3am. They were shouting and slamming doors and being so loud, they woke my daughters and me. We called the front desk and while we were told security would come, they did not. My daughter had to bang on the door and tell them to shut up. I would rate everything about my stay at Manchester as a 5 stars except that the windows need to be washed more often as it does obstruct the amazing view it is facing.

I recently stayed in San Diego over Easter weekend and this hotel was amazing! The staff was very friendly and the rooms were nice. I was surprised at how beautiful the view was from my room, as I didn't pay extra for a "premium view". The hotel is only a couple of minutes from all of the great restaurants and shops in town. The pictures on line do not match the reality of the hotels appearance!! Outdated. My room was dusty and not properly cleaned!

we have stayed there three years in a row and the services has declined in the last year. Maid service was not as good as before and overall service just seemed to decline.

We were downtown San Diego for two nights...we live in La Jolla and thought it would be fun to stay and explore downtown and the Gaslamp district as well as catch the Padres season opener...it was great fun and the Grand Hyatt was a true 5 star accommodation. Only […] downside is the ridiculous daily $26 parking fee and there is no way to get around that...but you are close enough to walk everywhere so get dropped off if you live in town. Very nice hotel right on the bay and walking distance to the gas lamp district. Beautiful pool area and nice meeting rooms. Everything was great - no complaints. I was even surprised with free wireless by signing up for Hyatt rewards.

"Loved the view and the room!"
I made a one night reservation at the last minute - and checked in with my kids. We had a lovely room on the corner with huge windows and wonderful view. The bed was soft and luxurious. The concierge was great - helped me find a late night open restaurant that would have both good microbrew beer and good kid oriented food.. so just what I needed.

Wonderful hotel. Employees top notch and friendly. Arrived on a weekday as my weekend away from work falls during the week. A few conventions taking place. Suits and ties everywhere. Not too much of a bother, we just felt under dressed. Corner room had a fantastic view of the ocean and the Pacific Fleet. Unable to receive Wifi from the room but Cellphone […] 3g speeds were good. Nice big screen TV with all the channels. Wife forgot her swimsuit and workout cloths. Gym was top notch and pool / jacuzzi area was clean and not very crowded with a Roman them. Very nice. Fire pit near the pool area was cozy. Pool layout between the hotel towers was impressive architecture. About 10 yards west of the hotel (to the rear) is Pacific Village. A quaint shopping center crafted by Disney architects, I believe. Or that is what the tour guild said. Great fast food Italian spot near the shops. It was the busiest restaurant so we stopped for the Lasagna. Quite delicious and big portions. A early morning jog on the boardwalk before breakfast and checkout was a perfect end to the stay. "Manchester Hyatt San Diego - perfect location"
Close to the water and Seaport Village. Also 10 minute walking distance from downtown San Diego. Nice and quiet neighborhood overall. Beautiful view of the coastline. A great location to go to other places such as Coronado Island or the Zoo. Spacious room and bathroom. Excellent facilities like the pools and jacuzzi and tennis/basketball courts.

The Hyatt chain is my brand of choice, and the Manchester Hyatt once again met and exceeded my expectations! Location- right on the waterfront, take a walk through the hotel and exit onto the boardwalk full of trendy little shops and restaurants. LOVE this place! clean, friendly, rocking lobby bar

I have stayed at the Omni and the Hardrock in downtown San Diego and I must say that the Hyatt is up there in terms of quality. The Gaslamp is just a walk away and the hotel is close to the water.
