Deluxe Ocean view room beautiful, had top floor with magnificent view. Resort attractive with small but well kept beach with water-sports available free. If you're interested in snorkeling very poor off beach but Scuba Steve trips pick up off beach and are great. 2 pools in center of resort near bars very busy , personally preferred small quiet pool […] and bar tucked away up the hill. There was also a nice family pool which also did good lunchtime snacks, on the other side of the resort. Good choice of eating: very casual buffet and 2 a la cart restaurants in all inclusive deal plus another very smart looking restaurant at a fixed price we didn't try, had too strict a dress code for us. Breakfast very good buffet style and lovely omelettes made to order. Staff generally very friendly and helpful, especially in restaurants and bars. Entertainment very mixed, good local reggae and steel bands plus an amazing fire eating and local dance act but dreadful karaoke and staff talent night. Very nice hotel, professional and always smiling staff. The proximity to the beach is a big plus for St Lucia which offers limited beach location. Great deal for all inclusive. Also don't forget to take the day boat trip offered by Joy, totally worth it !

This is a true 3 star hotel. We stayed in an oceanfront room which was clean; the mattress, however, was not comfortable. The grounds are well kept up. This was our first all inclusive holiday. The room was basic, but adequate. The bed was comfortable. The fixtures and fittings were dated and in need of some attention- one of the towel rails fell off under the weight of my swimming trunks! The general finish of the hotel was a little rough around the edges- paintwork unfinished. Swimming pools very […] nice- 2 allowing kids and 2 for adults- a nice balance- none were overcrowded and loungers were a plenty. Bars also in close proximity to the pools. Our only real complaints were the standard of the food, and the variable standard of the bar staff and reception staff. Food was good at the children's pool (lunch and afternoon snacks). Quality and choice was also good at the Palms. Service and quality was lacking at the Bamboo and the Pier restaurants in the evenings. The Pier, however, has a good lunch, and with the sun setting over the sea and the warm breeze blowing in, you can almost accept the poor food in the evening for the great setting. The bar staff in the evenings seemed to be having as good a time as us, and that included helping themselves to wines and cocktails too. We had an evening flight home, and all week we had asked reception for a late check-out. We were fobbed off at least 4 times during the week with excuses like 'we can't be sure of availability until later in the week'. Nice hotel, staff friendly and always professional. Met at check in with rum punch. Food was good at the restaurants, one buffet style, one snack, and three more that say finner dinning( these three need reservation). Make reservations at the other restaurants early as they book up. We rented a car and did some stuff ourselves, caution drivers! roads are narrow and have many sharp turns around the island . So the bad now: this was a working vacation for me, there is no business center or access to a printer. I had to print some confidential paperwork and was told to email it to hotel so they could print, obviously not acceptable. In these modern times everyone has a computer/tablet/cell phone there was only two spots on the whole resort that had connection to the internet. By the pool bar and the lobby. Problem was when more than a few logged on the internet slowed to a point that it didn't work, so many guests were having problems that it was obviously a huge problem. There was much confusion when we arrived. We had chosen, after consultation with their staff months earlier, a particular building because of our limited mobility. On arrival they wanted to put us in a different building but we stood our ground and eventually got the room we had originally reserved. The shuttle service was excellent. There was little concern over our lost luggage and we were brushed off when inquiring of it's arrival. Our Canadian travel clothes were hardly suitable for the hot sunny weather of St. Lucia. We had all but two meals in the Palms restaurant, the others were one lunch and one dinner at Morgan's Pier. Items of clothing sent to the resort laundry clearly marked as having food stains were returned with the stains intact - clearly frustrating considering these were brand new clothes. We stayed here for the all inclusive experience, however the food choices were disappointing and the restaurant seating areas unhygienic. The watersports and entertainment was great, the beache was a little crowded but there are four poolas and of course the sea to bath in.

The overall experience was very disappointing. While many guests were greeted with rum punches upon arrival, we were not despite the fact we had to sit in the reception area for an hour waiting for our room. Since we were on our honeymoon, we were promised the honeymoon package which was supposed to come with a photographer and a bottle of champagne […] in our room. We recieved the bottle of champagne on the second day we were there but the resort had no idea about the photographer. We were also told that our building was the newest building which was supposed to be recently remodeled with state of the art amenities. However, it was in the process of being remodeled and we not only had to listen to construction all day but walk through it to exit our building. In addition, we had a small, old tv, that we could not control with the remote. It would have been nice if the door to the balcony had a screen door so we could leave it open with out being swarmed with insects. As far as the food was concerned, the only good meal was breakfast and even that could use some work. They do not do a good job of keeping birds and bugs off the food. For lunch, the occasional beach bbq or pasta station were the best options. As for dinner, we were not only disappointed but disgusted. Since I was on vacation, I shouldn't have to work to get a drink. The bar staff was unfriendly and not eager to make drinks. When we booked on Expedia.com it was called Almond Morgan Bay Beach Resort, and then when we left for St Lucia the name was Morgan Bay Beach Resort. We didn't ask why the name changed, but we thought maybe it had lost its Almond status due to a failed inspection or something like that. When we booked the hotel is was half-off for the room price, which was nice. When we got there we realized we wouldn't have paid full price for it. Our hotel rooms were nice, but needed some repairs. Also, around the hotel there were a lot of things that needed repairing (broken chairs, cracked bathtub, etc). None of these things prevented us from having a great time, but they were unsightly. Another weird thing was that during two of the nights people were repairing things with hammers and other loud industrial tools and it was between midnight and 3am! One last thing that we thought was weird: every once in a while, on the north side of the beach the hotel dumped water into the ocean. It smelled like sewage! Just returned, we travelled from 21 Feb to 2 Mar 12. The hotel was very well presented, the reception is open plan and very stylish. We were warmly greeted and once key cards & safe keys had been allocated, we were ferried in the golf buggy to our room. The room was very clean and had a lovely view over the sea (1st Floor - Superior Beach Front Rm […] - 600 block). There are plenty of sockets covering both 2-pin US (110v) and 3-pin UK (240v). We kept the AC on permanently, but easy to control with the remote. Big TV with Cable TV, clock radio. The room was furnished nicely and well lit. There are 4 resturants, the Palms, Morgan'sPier, Bamboo and Le Jardin. You have to book tables in advance for all except the the Palms - note: be sure you do book! They allow you to book 3 days in advance, and don't leave it too late in the day else you'll end up with a 9pm sitting. In order of preference: Bamboo, Morgan's Pier, Palms, Le Jardin. The Palms offers a 7-day rotating themed menu. The others seem to have a set menu each evening. Lunch is served in Palms (buffet style#, Pier #BBQ Buffet# and Bamboo #3-course menu). The quality of the food considering the quantities of food being served was great. The beach was clean, open and had great shade if you want it, there are decent pools, bars and great water sport opportunities - I got Hobie Cat training while I was there and had a great time impoving my sailing skills. Quite close to Castries, the Almond Morgan Bay is just off the main road traversing the island. We hired a car in Vieux Fort and drove over, allowing us to explore St Lucia as well as having the benefits of an all-inclusive. You do have to sign up for things early tho, as they get booked up quickly. The beach is quite small for the size of the hotel, but wasn't particularly crowded, despite the myriad of sun loungers. Don't be fooled by picture! The staff are rude especially the female staff. This resort is a real snooze, if your looking for entertainment stay somewhere. If I could give this resort a zero rating I would! Do not stay up on the hill the view is not worth the hike, trust me.

The hotel is approximately 1 1/2 hours from the airport. We rented a car and drove the 2 lane winding highway ourselves. We enjoyed the flexibility of having our own car (we heard other guest saying it cost $30 to go to Rodney Bay - a 10 minute taxi ride away). There is no charge for parking your car at the resort which is a nice change from the U.S. […] We upgraded to a one bedroom suite since we were traveling with our 2 children. Upon checking in everyone was so nice. We booked dinner for 2 of the 4 nights we were there - later we found out we could have booked for the entire visit at that time. Our first problem arose when we got to our room and found we had only one tv, and it was in the bedroom. I called the front desk and was told we only got one tv and we could have it moved. My husband tried to move it to the living room but it didn't have the correct plug for that room. I would assume there would be tv's in both rooms, the point of having two rooms so the kids could watch what they wanted in the living room. Instead they ended up in the bedroom with us! Nice family time but not what we intended. The burn of this is on our way to dinner the first night we saw maintenance driving up to our building with 2 flatscreen and 2 tube tv's (we had a very small tube tv in our room). Later in our stay we talked to a family who received a brand new flatscreen in their room! The Palms buffet was scheduled for our first nights dinner (this was done by the staff on check in). The food was marginal and we are not picky eaters! The staff could not have been less attentive. After 45 minutes we never received our drink orders! The only morning we were going to eat breakfast at the Palms I waited 15 minutes without receiving my coffee order - I left and met my family at Bamboo. The staff at Bamboo were wonderful. Just returned from 5 wonderful days in St. Lucia and the Almond Morgan Bay Resort, celebrating our 40th anniversary. Despite being the "rainy season" as well as the "off-season", we wouldn't change a thing. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a ocean front ground floor room less than 100 yards from the beach. From that point forward, we were totally impressed […] with the willingness of the entire staff at AMB with their cheerfulness and willing to help in any way possible to make your stay memorable. The room was well appointed with fresh flowers and personal touches that made a standard room seem much more. Being an all-inclusive resort, there are 4 restaurants available for meals, but normally only 2 or 3 are open for specific meals. Although the venue of the 4 restaurants are totally different, we found the meal selections at all 4 restaurants very good. The daily breakfast buffet at The Palms restaurant was outstanding! At all 4 restaurants we were seated immediately at each meal. Overall, we were very satisfield with the quality of food and drink during our stay. Rain showers were a daily constant....early morning, late afternoon or evening. We had a great time on our honeymoon! I will say that I'm glad we received a discount on the regular price, which would have been too much money. We got our money's worth - thanks to hotels.com! Most of those at the resort were from the UK or Canada - very few Americans. Most of the Americans stay at the Sandals. It was a good mix of honeymooners, families, and older couples on vacation. The room was very nice and we had a view of the pier and the water. My only complaint is that the bed was uncomfortable - not unbearable but not something I looked forward too. The food was great! We were pleased to have so many choices. I did my best to sample all different types of food and a variety of beverages - wine, mojitos, daquiris, etc. - and was never disappointed. The cookout on Monday night was definitely our favorite - the ribs were AMAZING! We did two excursions and loved them both. The first was the Almond Day Sail - 8 hour day cruise to the volcano, botanical gardens, snorkeling, and other sites. The volcano and gardens weren't very exciting, but we loved being on the water all day and the snorkeling was VERY FUN! We also did a half day zipline/rainforest canopy ride. We took a tram through the rainforest - beautiful views from above! Then did 10 ziplines, which was very fun. Finally, rode the canopy ride back to the start of the park. There are kids clubs for all ages and it is safe enough to let your older children enjoy their independance and make friends while you relax and do your own thing. The water sports is well run and safe, and offers pretty well everything with instruction from sailing, canoeing, banana boat riding, water skiing, cricket and football on the beach, all included. There are four good tennis courts, table tennis and pool if you fancy a game. There are four good sized pools two adult only, including one with a swim up bar. There are 5 restaurants to suit all tastes including one adult only. There are rooms in different locations to suit all requirements from a spacious room for a couple to a comfortable room for a family of four which is good value. The hotel is located in a quiet area on it's own, but not far away from anywhere you would want to visit in the north of the island. I stayed in St Lucia for 2 weeks and in this hotel for 4 days. I came to the island first to relax and second to have a good time. This hotel is very complete in terms of what it offers. Its located in the north of the island (which means a 2h taxi drive or 15min with helicopter). The allinclusive hotel has 4 restaurants which (even with european measures) […] are good. And it has a lot of sport equipment available e.g. windsurfing and hobbiecats. The hotel is like a upper social club, and its mainly families with old children and couples that come here. This was a great place to stay. It had everything we wanted on site. You didn't have to leave the complex if you didn't want to. The staff are very helpful and couldn't do enough for you. There were always plenty of beds to lie out on on the ebach. The choice of 4 restaurants was fab adn in addition afternoon tea was served if you had enough room!

The resort was one of the least expensive the island had to offer. Yes, it was all inclusive, which was nice. There was always plenty of food. The facilities were adequate and relatively well kept. However, the staff always seemed bothered by requests. They did offer water sports and have entertainment, like most resorts, but the quality was marginal […] to below. If you travel to the island, get a nice all inclusive resort because the island has little to offer beyond their boundaries. I traveled to the island, with my children, to focus on getting in some scuba diving. On the resort, Rainbow Divers has a respresentive present. I would call out to another dive shop. Wow. We truly had a wonderful experience at Almond Morgan Bay. We were in St. Lucia for three weeks. I wanted to try an all inclusive, so we selected Almond for our last night on the island. The staff is very […] friendly and there were no wait times to receive drinks or any request. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. We received one of the newer rooms perched high on the hill. It had a fantastic balcony view and the decor is fabulous. We were surprised with a bottle of wine and a fruit tray. The walk to the rooms is a bit challenging from the dinning and pool areas. I would prefer a lower level pool view room next time. There will definitely be a next time...we were planning our next visit before we left! The Almond experience is definitely worth it! Très bon moment passé dans votre hôtel: j'ai déjà envisagé d'y revenir l'année prochaine pour le Festival de Jazz. A cet effet, je souhaiterais vous faire une suggestion. Compte tenu que parmi vos clients il y en a qui viennent au Festival, notamment pour les concerts se déroulant à Pigeon Island. au retour de ce clients le service du diner est déjà […] terminé. il faudrait laisser à ces clients, un service minimum (non pas de plats cuisinés) mais composé peut être de de sandwichs, burger etc . en effet, vu l'heure à laquelle finissent les concerts ces clients ne trouvent pas forcément un endroit 0û manger. beau temps et chaleur au rdv mais l'hotel n'y est pour rien!
