Hotel was clean and the staff was polite (all spoke english), while no one went out of there way to make your stay more accommodating I cant think of any issues. The hotel is 1 block from the U-Bahn station which makes it very convenient to get around the city. While we did not eat around the hotel the street was littered with every type of restaurant […] you could imagine. Room was small but typical of Europe and the bathroom was cleaned and passed my wife's inspection process. (always a good sign) The beds were ok I would give a C+/B-. Only downside to the hotel is the noise. If you are traveling in the summer you will most certainly have the windows open and the street below is loud due to restaurant delivery trucks and people coming home from the bars. A very comfortable hotel in Charlottenburg, which is the nicest area of Berlin. I got a very good deal on a four-day stay booking the morning of the day I checked in. The U-bahn is just down the road and Berlin's transport system is amongst the best in the world, so it's very easy to get to other parts of the city. Charlottenburg itself is full of beautiful […] shops and great bars and restaurants. But, as other reviewers have pointed out, it's best to be at least conversant in German to go here as all the staff, including in the attached bar and restaurant, prefer to speak their own language, which is understandable. Luckily I can, and as a result everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The single room I occupied had a comfortable bed and a great bathroom and was very quiet. this is a tourist production line and totally german oriented very few foreigners no English translations on form like on how do you like us form breakfast looked ok but tight seating rooms good size tv good great area I dealt with two rude young people @ reception that spoke poor English and didn't care period. very unpleasant place no fun

Hotel was more than satisfactory for my requirements. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, with a TV provided. The provision of a safe deposit box in the room was handy. The hotel also has an integral restaurant which was ideal for the first evening and served good German food at a not unreasonable price.

The days I choose not to have housekeeping they left a bag on the door with clean towels and toilet paper. The hotel was walking distance to several train stations and lots of shops. Terrific little hotel just off the Ku'damm. One member of staff could've been friendlier, but otherwise I feel this is a gem of a reasonably-priced hotel. S-Bahn station and plenty of restaurants close by, nice area of town.

We found the hotel adequate for our 3 day stay. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The price was very affordable. Our only complaint was the hallways just outside our room smelled of smoke/stale cigarette, although it was a no smoking facility. We booked this hotel only after reading a million reviews, so we knew the rooms would be very small. But, again we only had a day to spend there and needed easy access to the 109 bus from the airport (10 min. walk). During the day we took a Hop-On bus (10 min to boarding stop) on both routes to see the entire city. qquite satisfied. We were surprised that we were charged for leaving our luggage at the hotel after check out for just a few hours. Very friendly staff. Great restaurant with traditional German dishes. Look out for the small 24 hour store oppposite the hotel to pick up a late night or early morning hot drink - very useful as there are no drink making facilities in the room.

This was a perfect choice for my needs - small, reasonably priced hotel, which is clean, comfortable and in an easily accessible and safe location. Perfect to attend a conference at the Messe. Staff are helpful, breakfast is very nice at a very reasonable price, from 0630.

My single room was perfect for me, a woman, traveling alone. It was small and basic, which is what keeps the price reasonable. But in the best area, close to bus and subway lines, right by the shopping street. Safe for evening walking, very clean, helpful reception staff.

I was surprised by the hotel because the price was very cheap. The room was clean and the bed was ok. Wi Fi was good + free. Overall a good experience. Only issue i had was that for whatever reason the staff tried to charge me for the breakfast for each of my 4 nights of stay. I explained i've paid in advance and i decided against breakfast (cheaper […] + i get up late) and that i never stepped foot in the breakfast room during my stay. At this point she made me feel like a criminal insisting i pay for whatever reason. In the end, they sort of just angrily told me to just go and not to worry about it. I really enjoyed my stay at the Berlin Plaza Hotel and would recommend it to families and couples. The room was clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and polite plus the Breakfast is Fantastic! The U-Bahn is a short 5 minute walk, which gives you access to all parts of the city. Overall a good experience and would stay there again.

The Plaza is a good hotel for a short stay in Berlin, in a quiet street, but near to transport links, restaurants, shops and within walking distance of Tiergarten. The room was small for a double, with a reading light on one side of the bed only and the TV at a strange angle, but nevertheless perfectly adequate. Compared with some of the trendier central Berlin hotels the Berlin Plaza is a little dowdy, but then the price is very reasonable given the location. Within the hotel is a German-style bar restaurant - handy, if not inspiring (and you can charge drinks and meals to your hotel bill). Staff were helpful and welcoming. This privately owned hotel in the heart of the City-West area close to the Kudamm is a real pleasure. Having shopped around for a while this is now my hotel of choice when working in Berlin. The Plaza is easily accessed by bus 109 from Tegel airport (get directions from hotel website; bus indicates where to get off) and is just off the bustling, up-market Kurfurstendamm which features numerous designer shops and many cafes and restaurants (and a useful Netto supermarket nearby for any food or drinks!). The major city sights and museums are beyond easy walking distance but the hotel is well-placed for all of the city’s efficient travel services (bus, U-bahn and S-bahn stops are all nearby). And it seems the hotel doesn’t take school parties (once experienced, preferably never repeated!), so all is relatively quiet. All in all, an excellent stay – we’d happily use it again. PS. I hired a bike which had flat tires which I had to pump up. Only one gear out of 3 (the hardest worked) When I got back to ask for a discount I was told by rude manager that the Hotel was not a bazar and I had to pay full rate for faulty bike!
