Hotel and room was good, yet location was great. Just 2 min from Volterpark and 15 min walking distance from the center. Away from center's noise, part of Amsterdam's best area. Nevertheless, breakfast was quite expensive - 30€ per day for a couple

I stayed 4 nights and in that time was unable to receive or send emails and I had to walk 3 blocks to a cafe that had wifi. The wifi connection they give you connects to a website from where you cannot do practically anything ... useless! The bed was made up by just pulling the cover back in place and the bottom sheet was left exactly as it was when […] I got up. Towels in the bathroom were also left the way I had left them in the morning. This is a hotel in a good position and quality which is badly run with a lack of attention to detail .... penny wise pound foolish! is a little gem in a good location. Beautifully decorated with a lovely outdoor garden and very helpful friendly staff I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I enjoyed my stay and will be heading back for another couple of nights before flying home to Australia.

My room was very small and all the way on the bottom floor so no view. The closet and other storage was minimal. Oddly, the bath linens included bath and hand towels but no wash cloth. Nice small hotel in a quiet but still central part of Amsterdam. Although not top notch the smallness made it feel very comfortable with friendly staff and decent modern standard for a good price. Breakfast ok. The pricier rooms are well worth the extra Euros. Waking up to birds singing in the middle of Amsterdam is a plus.

This hotel is in between the Leidsplein, the Vondelpark and the Museumplein; all are within short walking distance of the hotel. The hotel is modern, clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful. It is one of the best places I've stayed in whilst in Amsterdam.

This cozy small hotel located in one of the best neighborhoods in Amsterdam is quiet, has good shopping, museums and transportation nearby. But most important has a friendly and accommodating staff that make you feel like family. Would highly recommend it!

I stayed here for 4 nights and opted for the upgrade to a more spacious room - definitely worth the extra few bob to have a bit of space. Didnt opt for the breakfast in hotel - its maybe 7 mins walk to ledinspelin with plenty of close for breakfast. You can easily walk to hereby attractions like Van Gough musesum. We also walked to Anne Franks house […] (25mins) and Heneiken Expierence (15mins) to get a feel for the place. But tram is only 3mins walk. Staff were super friednly. Room was bright and clean. Well-run hotel by nice, helpful folks. Warm, cheery atmosphere. Standard breakfast and facilities. Close to museums, tram station, supermarket and starting point of tours. Perfect service, the rooms are extremely clean and nice. The only downside: small rooms. I believe my bed did not have a headboard just because it would not fit. The room (single) was probably 5 square meters (50 sq feet).

A small, boutique hotel with great style and comfortable beds. The windows in our room opened up to the courtyard and was quite nice. Location is close to Vondelpark, the fashion district and the museums. About a 20 - 25 minute walk to Dam Square, so quite close to everything if you don't mind walking a few minutes.

Great location, and super nice boutique hotel. Very nice furnishings. I had a single room which was very very small, too small. Also, no AC and there was a broken tap in bathroom. But generally, highly recommended.

great location 3 min walk to museum district , shops and restaurants nearby , no 5 metro close by allowing easy access to center of Amsterdam and Central station . Good breakfast . Would stay again

I had an amazing stay at the Piet Hein. I had a single room to myself and it was very clean with very comfortable beds. The wifi worked perfectly and the bathroom was perfect. The people who worked at the front desk were always very helpful whenever I had any questions. The 1st room allocated to me unfortunately had a 3-legged bed!! I was quickly and efficiently allocated another room. It is a typical 3 - star Amsterdam hotel with small rooms - bed, desk, chair and bathroom and as is now the trend breakfast not included. Booked a single room for the duration. Single room is a bit on the small size but all the amenities are first class. The bathroom is modern with a very strong shower jet. Very clean and maintained to a high standard. The bed was very comfortable and supportive. Staff very helpful and I would stay here again.

We booked a superior deluxe double bed room to celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary in Amsterdam, but were given a tiny room in the basement with two single beds shoved together. No apologies, no ability to move us to the room we were booked into, just an offer of a drink by way of compensation. Terrible attititude.

Our room was very small, on the top floor, with slanted walls, small windows and just enough room for the bed. The price is excessive for what is offered. Breakfast was extra, internet access in the lobby was free. A couple of days later we stayed at a 4-star hotel in the same neighborhood. Great location, walking distance (block)s to museums, hardrock, and theater. Adjoins park. Cons: room 324 is the smallest room I have ever stayed in. I expect European rooms to be small, but this room was smaller than a Japanese business hotel room. I could literally touch all 4 walls from the same spot. Great location next to Vondel Park and major museums and a walk away from the town center. Staff very helpful. Room 106 but is at basement level and shower is a bit small and floods the bathroom.

This hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable in a neighborhood next to Vondelpark and not far from Leidseplein and the museums. It's a bit of a walk to the main part of town and Centraal Station but the trams are very close and can get you around quickly.

The hotel room was small but very clean with nice furniture. The staff were fantastic. There was no noise and was located in a very safe neighbourhood. Highly recommend this hotel.

The Vondelpark right across the street is the first of many outside qualities provided by a Hotel that is a pleasure to stay at. The Piet Hein was recommended by a demanding friend, and I can say that I will in turn recommmend it to all my other friends who plan to visit Amsterdam.

The hotel was very clean and modern and near all the main museums. The staff was very helpful. the rooms are tiny, but given the location and the city I did not plan to spend any time in the room anyway.

Wow! the hotel was beautiful, great decor, and the view to the garden and back seating area was amazing from my window. I reserved the room with a twin bed and although the room seemed like it might be small it was set up with modern furniture and nice decor and quite roomy. It was my first time in amsterdam and the staff was able to help with directions […] and recommendations. Breakfast buffet had many options. Hyggelig betjening og trivelig å slappe av i en delikat sofagruppe i bare/resepsjonen . Rent og stilig hotell. Rolig område uten trafikkstøy:) Anbefales!

Hotellet ligger like ved Vondelpark og Amsterdam sin mest eksklusive handlegate! Rolig beliggenhet, rent, pent, og utmerket service! Flere trikke muligheter rett rundt hjørnet, men også fullt mulig å gå hvor hen du skal! Ca 40 minutter rolig spasertur til Dam plass som er midt i sentrum!

Das Hotel ist sehr modern und ansprechend, die Lage direkt am Vondelpark sehr schön und ruhig. Einkaufsstraßen und Ausgehmöglichkeiten können gut zu Fuß erreicht werden.

I stayed two nights in Single Room. In general the hotel was very cosy and had nice athmosphere: it situates next to the delightful Vossiuspark at a quiet street so there were not too much of noice of the traffic. My room was in the uppest floor, so it was maybe one of the quietest rooms. The personnel was extremely friendly. The breakfast was very […] good (although a bit expensive) and the breakfast room had very nice athmosphere too. At the front desk there were many computers for the visitors' use which was very handy. The location next to the interesting museums (Van Gogh Museum, Rikjsmuseum etc.) was an asset too, as well as the public transportation stops are near to easily reach the city centre. The room itself was ok: rather small even for one person; the bed was very nice; bathroom was small (not recommended for big persons) but very clean and nicely decorated; you could really feel the athmospere of an Amsterdam house there. Only things I didn't like in the room were the fitted carpet (because of my allergy) and the fact that tv didn't work (and it was not repaired while my stay there despite I told it to the personnel).
