καθαρό και ευρύχωρο δωμάτιο. Κοντά σε στάση τραμ. Σε 20 λεπτά είσαι στο κέντρο με τα πόδια Το βράδυ η περιοχή έχει μικρά μπαράκια όπου κινούνται κυρίως φοιτητές. Το πρωϊνό πολύ ικανοποιητικό για ΒΒ δωμάτιο.Εξυπηρετικός κ με πολύ καλή γνώση αγγλικων ο ιδιοκτήτης Francesco. Αρνητικό το γεγονός ότι ακούγεται έντονα η μουσική από το μπαράκι που βρίσκεται στο ισόγειο(πάρτε μαζί ωτασπίδες) κ το ότι το δωμάτιο ήταν στο ισόγειο του αίθριου.

Πολύ καθαρό, ωραίο πρωινό και πολύ βολική τοποθεσία!
Τοποθεσία.
Στην καρδιά της πόλης Ρώμη, το Hotel Borromeo βρίσκεται σε πολύ κοντινή απόσταση με τα πόδια από σημεία ενδιαφέροντος όπως: Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore και Teatro dell'Opera di Roma. Σε κοντινή απόσταση υπάρχουν επίσης σημεία ενδιαφέροντος όπως: Κολοσσαίο και ρωμΑϊκό φόρουμ.

This hotel is very convenient to major sites and train station. Hotel could use some repair, but bathrooms seemed to be refurnished. Overall comfortable. Highlight of this hotel is the location. We would stay again just for that.

"Good Location"
Hotel is in a great location. Our room was nice and the breakfast was worth it. Keep the windows closed because it is on a busy street. Would be nice if the Wi-Fi was free but they charge an hourly fee. If you just need a place to sleep and plan on not being in a hotel room the whole time than I recommend it.

"Great Location, Very Happy"
This was my first time in Rome and I had 2 nights and one day in the city. The convenient access to the metro and train station made it easy to get around, and it was a pleasant and short walk down to the Colleseum and surrounding activities. The room was nice and clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Though this hotel is close to Roma Termini, I did not feel unsafe walking around at night. It was close to the Colosseum area, and since it was close to the Termini station close to both metro lines and most of the buses would stop there. "Borromeo Perfect"
We stayed for 5 nights in this hotel. It is perfectly located, right in the middle of the rome city center. It's also clean and the stuff is very helpful. Housekeepers clean your room and tidy the bed each and every day which was surprising for us. It's so close to the metro station and historical sites such as Coloseum and Roman Forum. "The hotel was very convienent to everything."
We were a party of 4 adults and 2 kids. Our sleeping accomadations worked well. The hotel staff was helpfull, the breakfast good and the room was clean and comfortable. The location was convintent to the sights or to transporation. I would recomend this hotel.
The hotel was fine - location, price etc. HOWEVER the staff could not have been more unfriendly or useless. They had to change our room(because of some double booking they had done) after the first night and when we returned the 2nd day we had to practically beg to find our new room and get the key.

We really liked this hotel. It was a great place with nice rooms and a decent breakfast. It was, literally, down the street from the Colosseum, or if you prefer, a really convenient metro stop. It's in a great area with lots of great restaurants. We would definitely stay there again and strongly recommend it to others.

Great location and the breakfast on the terrace was a good way to start the day. Glad to have eggs, bacon, cheese, and assorted breads. Front desk spoke English and Spanish. Checked us in at 9 am! Room small but worked for our needs. Bathroom was large.
the hotel is 5 mins from termimi stn and close to te colosseo. only about 10 mins from trevi fountain and spanish steps. A quiet area at night but felt safe. the Twin Room we had was very small but clean, bathroom was nice. good value for money
"Excellent value"
This is an excellent choice and an excellent value. Walking distance from both the station and the Colloseum. The room was elegant and quiet. Although it was a standard double, it was quite spacious. "2nd stay"
Stayed here on a previous trip to Rome and decided to return, very conv. to all sites in Rome city center and about 5 blocks from Roma Termini station. Free breakfast was good, room was clean and staff was very friendly and helpful, arrived on early flight and check in is 1400 so was able to store luggage in safe closet till return. "Borromeo Hotel - Rome"
Very convenient to the subway and bus routes. Clean, moderately priced. Rooms a little smaller than in America, but that is to be expected. Very close to Santa Maria Maggiore. Convenient to many of the may sites, especially the Colosseum and the Roman forum.
"Borromeo - Great hotel, will stay again!"
Really clean hotel and the staff can't do enough to help you out. The rooms are quite small and the view is nothing write home about but the bed was so comfortable I have trouble getting out of it to look out of the window anyway! Great value for money in a very central and convenient location.

"Great location"
Location was terrific as it was near historical sites, metro, train station, bus stops and restaurants. 3 twin beds in one room made it very crowded. Bath room was plenty spacious and accomadating. Our balcony was larger than our room. It was great. A most substantial breakfast (eggs, cereal, pastries, coffee, espresso, juices, cold cuts, rolls, yogurt […] and tea) was served in their large dining room. The hotel was very clean. "Good deal overall"
Overall, Borromeo hotel was a relatively good deal. Pros: The room was clean, location is convenient - close to public transportation and historical sites. Also includes a good breakfast. Cons: Wifi is not included, costs 2 euro/hour. Not shown online, but there is also a 2 euro/day city tax that they prefer you pay in cash.

Borromeo had everything on the paper to make you enjoy your holidays in Roma, nice photos of the place on the hotel.com website, location in City center near the colosseum, breakfast included... Just forget all of these, the hostel was very noisy, They have to put two windows to have some silence ! Breakfast was simply awful with a coffee dark like […] the filter had never been changed. But the most shameful was the hotel service : First of all, when we arrived, they said to us without any politeness that our room wasn't free and that we have to go to another location at 5 km from there. After getting there in a crappy old car, and politely saw a disgusting room, we just went back to the hotel, and then we had the surprise to see that our room was ready... we lost our first afternoon at Roma.. Simply unbearable. We are not difficult customers, but the rudeness and the lack of customer satisfaction of that hotel beats everything : They said that they will send your postcard if you give it to the reception : We tried it our last day , they just said no, post it to the Airport ... The worst was without any doubt when we ordered a Taxi to catch our plane... We did it from our room, we waited 25 minutes, and the reception guy said : " you had to order it yesterday..." What a shame ! We just walk on the street and get a taxi in less than 5 minutes !!! These hotel managers only despise you and won't lift a finger to delight you... "We were taken to another hotel."
The occupants of our room were sick and could not vacate, so we were walked around the block to another hotel which was similar (I guess, having never seen the room in Borromeo). Inconvenient, but the best that could be done.

Our triple was a little tight for space but otherwise the hotel was excellent. There are great restaurants nearby and the laundry across the road is cheap and convenient.

Nice hotel. Very close to Forum and other sights. Close to main train station in Rome. Very clean, nice breakfast included on rooftop dining area. We really enjoyed the hotel and the area. Allowed us to walk to everything right from the hotel.

"Not deserving of 3-star rating?"
We chose this hotel based on reviews and its proximity to the train station. Fortunately our stay was only for one night. The room we were in (#209) was dark and smelled of urine. There was a panel above the door that showed signs of water leakage and where a significant amount of mold had formed. I would consider this a bit of a health hazard. The […] hotel is situated on a pretty busy street and while it is close to the Colosseum, and it is possible to walk to other locations (Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Vatican) expect a bit of a hike. Also a bit surprising in the year 2011 is that the hotel still charges 2 euros for 1 hour of wi-fi service. On the plus side, the breakfast was good and the rooftop terrace on which it was served was pleasant. Well situated ! Easy to get around from Termini Station, as well as to all the Historic sites. A lovely rooftop breakfast...Lots of shops, restaurants locally. We originally had a small room, but we were switched to bigger one, street view, marble bathroom, spotlessly clean and cozy and accomodated nicely, with our luggage moved for us. The check-in […] time that you advertise for 1:00 PM is incorrect, it is actually @ 2:00 PM and strictly enforced. There are local taxes to contend with upon check out. The location was very convenient due to proximity to a metro stop and to several tourist attractions ( colosseum, palatine, the Spanish steps, the Trevi fountain), all were within a 20 minute walk. The accommodations were clean and had typical amenities. The breakfast served was mediocre but was a good way to grab a quick bite to eat before leaving […] for the day. The terrace on the 3rd floor was pleasant and had a good view of Via Cavour. The staff was very friendly and offered to make reservations for their recommended restaraunts. We had a double room, which was a little small by American standards but seemed typical of all of our Italian hotels. The bathroom was clean albeit somewhat cramped. Overall, our stay at hotel Borromeo was good. Great location just 5 blocks from the Rome Termini Station and 1 block from the Metro subway station, within walking distance of probably 80% of the popular sites to see. Very clean motel at a great price, we will return and stay here in a couple of months.

It was a nice hotel but I just did not like the location...too busy and too many cars, etc. I felt like I was in Pittsburg or New York, not Rome. I would choose something closer to the Vatican or in a less chaotic location next time.

We had two days to spend in Rome and this hotel was perfect. The team loved the breafast. Rooms were very nice and clean. I would recommend this hotel for sure. We will stay there next year for sure.Great Location.

Location is very good-close to colloseum, breakfast was very good. hotel room was tiny- as in not even enough room around the bed to open out a suitcase, air conditioning was really loud rattling noise..no way you could sleep with it on, would not stay here again

This hotel is in a great location. Three blocks from the Colissuem and walking distance to many other things like the spanish steps, trevi fountain, etc. Nice staff and clean room with a nice bathroom. "Borromeo is a good Hotel close to most everything"
We had a good time at this hotel. We walked to several sites including the Colosseo. Shopping around the hotel is more nic nacs so go downtown for the good areas. WiFi you need a code but that is common in all the hotels we stayed at during our trip. Several good restuarants very close.

Was everything we hoped for and more. A beautiful old building with character. Great Location, very nice and helpful staff. Would stay there again. I was initally concerned because it was listed as a smoking hotel so I took a giant can of "oust" It wasn't necessary. Have adopted a no-smoking policy. We had a suite for my husband and I and our 2 daughters. The room was large (2 twins and a king and 2 baths) and clean. The service and breakfast was good. But oh the noise, noise, noise! Our room was right on the street. Rome is a busy city and this is a busy street. It was almost impossible to sleep without earplugs! Maybe the rooms in the back are […] quieter. We needed to stay close to the train station for only one night after our arrival so Hotel Borromeo was a great location for us. "Hotel Borromeo, Rome - great location & service"
The hotel was five minutes walk from main train station and the same distance from the Colosseum. The metro was just down the street from hotel. The staff were absolutely lovely. The room was spotless - was not huge but not necessary when you spend most of your time outside. We had lovely large balcony - february a bit cold to appreciate fully though. "Borromeo Hotel - good location!"
We arrived earlier than the check-in time listed but we had an early flight so couldn't avoid that. We had hoped to be able to shower and freshen up before heading out but that wasn't an option. Thankfully they did have a locked storage room where we could leave our luggage and head out on the town. The beds were a bit worn and not the most comfortable […] but when you're tired, everything is good! The location was great! less than 10 minutes to the Colloseum (walking) and very close to Termini Station and subway. Lots of good restaurants around.
