Hilton Garden Inn Beaverton - Beaverton

We came to Beaverton to go to Nike so the hotel was very close but the actual building was difficult to get since there were few signs and there was no access from the surrounding business buildings. Overall very nice stay, clean and friendly staff.

Great alternative to staying in downtown Portland, if you rent a car and are mobile. Nice suburban setting. Lots of free parking and free Wi-Fi access. Clean, modern, and comfortable. Nice buffet breakfast at reasonable cost. Easy access to freeways, and downtown by car. Recommended.

My family was treated horribly by staff and the room was not ready when we arrive at 5PM and check in is at 3PM according to the Hotel. Room smelled bad. Staff was unfriendly. Never again will we stay at any Hilton related Hotels. We always stayed at Hilton and Double Tree in the past and never had a complaint but this place is degrading.

The pool and spa were down the first day I arrived. I only knew because I asked when I came to lobby. On the last day I found out it was open. I wish I had known how long it was going to be in maintenance so I could have taken more advantage of the hot tub and pool. Very nice once I did get to use it.

THE HOTEL WAS GREAT. ONLY ISSUE WAS THE BATHROOM WAS in need of a little TLC. Bath drain did not drain well. Tub fills with water during shower and curtain was threadbare and too short to keep water from escaping the tub and piddling on floor.. other issue was that our room view out of window was the roof peak of next section of hotel. Unfortunately, we weren't there long enough to take advantage of all of the amenities. But it is worth going to if only for the great buffet breakfast. It's not free, but it's better than almost anywhere else. Don't miss the warm bread pudding. And the staff makes it feel like home.

This is the best place to stay if you don't want to spend so much, but at time same time looking for a comfortable and affordable stay close to downtown Portland. Friendly staff and clean rooms. For our family, this hotel was perfect. It was a 15-20 minute drive away from downtown and Whole Foods (and that big mall!). We saved over $100 a night alone staying a little further away from downtown Portland, and that short drive was not an inconvenience at all. The hotel was clean, basic, and well kept. The staff were really friendly and helpful. […] Our room was large so there was space for my son to play on the floor. It was very comfortable, nothing gross or broken. The fridge saved us money because we didn't end up eating out the whole time we were there. Warm indoor pool with extended hours. My husband died and went to heaven with the huge fitness facility next door, you can use it for free when you stay at the hotel. Drop in basketball at 11pm!? He played each night. We will absolutely stay here again on our next visit to Portland. I would also suggest it to anyone. You don't *need* to stay downtown if you have a car. My wife and I recently stayed with the Hilton Garden Inn at Beaverton. When we arrived late (which we notified the front desk earlier that we would be coming in late), they gave us the keys, we were almost ready to open the door when the front desk woman came running up saying they switched us to another room. When we got to that room, it was saturated […] with the odor of burnt popcorn, the window was open so we knew the hotel knew the odor was present. We thought we would get used to the stench but it was bad. The next day (since we got in late), we let them know and they said they would send someone up with some spray.... we we got back and it seemed to be worse, we then went and got our own spray deoderizer (Frabreeze) and sprayed the room which helped. The question I raise is, WHY would the front desk put paying customers in a room they knew had a smell of burnt popcorn. Just because of that I will probably go stay at your competitor any time I am in need of a hotel room and will not recommend your hotel to others. And that's why I am posting here, so others may choose to go elsewhere as well. I have stayed at the Garden inns on previous occasions with good results but this time was one of the most unpleasant stays I have had. Please make sure they don't do that to other paying customers and I hope the policy of "Make it right" policy stands where if my stay was not a good one the company would make it right. The staff was great and we liked the room. The matrices could have been a little more comfortable and we only had enough coffee for one but overall it was a great stay.

We went to Beaverton to celebrate my birthday. Right as we crossed the border from WA to OR our vehicle broke down. We had it towed to a shop and went about finding our way to the hotel. We had to take the MAX train and a bus to get there. It took us about 2 and a half hours. When we got to the hotel all we wanted was some food and a hot shower. Found […] some great food at the brewery down the street. Jumped in the shower and the shower head continuously sprayed water out of the base of the handset. As in half the water pressure was shooting onto the bathroom floor, and the other half in my eye. My boyfriend laughed at me when i told him this, but then it was his turn to take a shower. Hotels.com website said they have bassinet/crib, when I asked about getting one the guy at the front desk was rude and said they don't have cribs. Then the next morning room service knocked on our door four different times while the do not disturb sign was hanging on our door. coffee maker didn't work and when I called to front desk, no solution was offered (ie, new pot brought to room, etc.) Phone next to bed didn't work.

The hotel seemed nice until we turned down the sheets and found blood on the sheets. I called down to font desks and was told I had to come down and get my own sheets and change my own bed. Not happy with customer service.

We had a late check in due to bad weather, after a long (9 hour) drive we got to our room on the 4th floor and it was a king not a double queen, which was our reservation. Called down to the desk and were told to come back to the desk and get another key. We did, and were sent back to the 4th floor. So after lugging our luggage up and down and up again, […] we got into our room at 11:45 pm and were assailed by an overwhelming smell of BO, yes body odor! Yuk! However we were exhausted so I turned the ac on and it dissipated the smell a bit (either that or we got used to it). However after leaving in the morning and coming back in I was once again assailed by the smell. We only had one soap in the bathroom so it had to swap between the sink and the tub, yuk! An to top it off, we forgot one toothbrush and toothpaste and I WAS CHARGED FOR A TOOTHBRUSH AND TOOTHPASTE. I have never been charged for that before. The breakfast buffet didn't start until 7:00 so we were unable to try that. I don't know what the charge for it was. I'll stay at the Marriott Courtyard next time. Almost everything about this hotel was great. The room was clean and modern, even included a small fridge and microwave. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy - check-out could be done from your room on the phone. They even offer exercise equipment that you can check out and use in your room. The only problem that we had was that neither my wife […] nor I slept well. The bed was comfortable enough - it even had an adjustment for firmness (although I could not feel any difference from one extreme to the other in the settings). The problem, I think, was temperature. The bed had a sheet and a very nice, plush comforter for covers. My wife and I prefer a cool room to sleep in, so we opened the window to cool the room down (the air-conditioning appeared to be disabled, being that it was December). The room was comfortably cool, but using the comforter was too warm, and using only the sheet was not enough. Consequently, we tossed and turned all night. The hotel was clean and nice looking. Staff members were nice and helpful. Beds were uncomfortable, no variety in pillows (soft vs firm), and refrigerator didn't work. We received an upgrade to a suite with the King adjustable bed (at no cost) which was nice. We slept much better after we moved to the suite. Very nice people, clean and comfortable room, great service and all the things you'd expect from a high quality hotel. My only problem was the noise from a very large group of kids on my floor.
