Acropolis Select Hotel - Αθήνα

We stayed here one night so that we could see Acropolis. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. A very clean hotel with good service. As with many older European hotels, the elevator is tiny and some rooms have tiny bath/showers. But overall a very pleasant stay. The front desk will change dollars to euros with no fee. Breakfast is included. We were impressed with the Acropolis Select Hotel. It was a great deal for the money! Walking distance from the Plaka and the Acropolis. Buffet breakfast was provided. Internet available, 1 hr for 5 euros.

The location is perfect - 2 blocks from a subway station, 3 blocks from grocery, 4 blocks from Acropolis. The hotel itself is old with limited amenities. They don't even provide tissue papers. Hotel staff service is okay. The breakfast was below average.

This hotel is close to the tourist area but benefits from not being in the middle of it. It is a 5-10 minute walk from the Acropolis and a couple of blocks from the metro. The rooms are small and need renovation. The room was clean and the breakfast was good with eggs and bacon as well as the mediterranean breakfast foods. We did not price compare because […] we were joining a tour and this was the hotel they used. There is a nice bar in the lobby. the staff is helpful and friendly. You have to pay for wifi. We stayed at a much nicer, less expensive hotel in a less convenient location on the last day of our stay in Greece so I guess you are paying for the location. When we picked the Acropolis Select Hotel in Athens, Greece, for our visit, we had no idea where it was located; but we were not disappointed when we arrived. Pros: good location - close to Metro station and Acropolis, staffs are friendly. Breakfast is included. Cons: Expensive price considering it was low season and all the reasons below.... 1. Internet access is 5.50 Euro per hour! What the hell... and the speed is so slow, I can't access some websites, especially my work VPN. 2. hotel room is old, and […] the carpet is dirty and it smells. For those of you like to walk on the carpet with your white sox, forget it, or you should wear black sox. 3. the bathroom is very uncomfortable. it's small and bad organized. The bath door will hit the toilet, the tub is so small and no matter how careful you are, some part of your body is guaranteed to touch the dirty shower curtain while you are taking shower. Note: I'm 5'4 weight 116lbs. I'm slim. but still. The shower head ridiculously located at your waist high. Who the hell taking shower like this? Remember don't stretch your arms and legs too far when you wipe yourself, your towel will touch either the counter, the toilet, or the tub. What a pain. 4. The heater doesn't really work except making a lot of noise. Well, if you go there during summer, you don't need to worry about it (assume the machine will blow cold air). 5. the bed is hard, the blanket is thin, the pillow is just whatever. overall the stay in this hotel is not a comfortable one. I can't say enough good things about my stay at Acropolis Select. I flew in to Athens and took the metro to the hotel. It was an easy block and a half walk away from the metro stop. The front desk staff was very friendly when I arrived. The location is ideal. Cafes are just a couple minute walk away and the Acropolis was a 10 minute walk. I knew I wanted […] to go to Santorini while in Greece but didn't plan my travel in advance. The front desk gave me great advice and offered a travel agency but didn't push at all. I ended up booking the ferry, hotel, and return flight for my trip to Santorini myself. The hotel was older and the elevator very cozy. The rooms were comfortable and the beds firm. The location was about 5 blocks from the Acropolis Museum and abut 8 blocks from the Plaka. Mini-markets, restaurants, electronics, and hardware stores within a few minutes walk. The neighborhood was mixed commercial and residential, but seemed safe at all […] times. The front desk staff was outstanding, helping with directions and suggestions. They even recommended and walked me through use of a local phone card instead of paying the hotel phone rates. Breakfasts were good. The hotel is on a one lane one-way street and would probable be difficult to drive to if you were not familiar with the area. O hotel e simples, mas muito bom. Fuça muito bem localizado, perto da Acropolis, museu, templo de Zeus, Placa... Da para fazer todos esses passeios a pe, e do lado. E para ir para o Porto e praia para não gastar com taxi tem uma estação de metro do lado do hotel também , estação de Acropolis na Placa ( bairro). Dejligt hotel med god og hyggelig stemning. God morgenmadsbuffet. god hjælp i receptionen Ligger godt i forhold til metro 5 min. gang fra akropolis Vores værelse var for lille til 3 senge. Måtte kravle over seng for at komme til altan. ok pris.

I forhold til prisen har dette hotel alt hvad man kan ønske. Den eneste ting jeg ikke brød mig så meget om, var morgenmaden. Jeg kan klart anbefale hotellet!

Très bon hôtel très bien situé, la seule remarque à faire et ce n'est qu'un détail ; pour un hôtel de cette catégorie concernant la tv il n'y pas de chaînes internationnales
