Facility was very clean and staff were friendly. My only concern is that the light switch located at the room entrance did not work. However, I did not alert staff of the problem because I thought the housekeeping staff would have noticed it was not working when they cleaned the room.

I've stayed at this hotel before and chose it specifically. Great bargain, pleasant staff and great extras for the price. I will definitely stay here again.

Considering the cost, this was a very adequate hotel for a one night stay. Hotel staff was very nice.

The hotel was located in an area where food was readily accessible. However, the room was dingy, the bed was uncomfortable and I frankly did not like the size of the place. For the price, it is not a bad stay for just one night..

Hey, it's not called "MICRO" tel for nothing. Tiny room, but everything you need. Clean, comfortable bed, interior access and safe, well-lit parking. Breakfast is really just coffee, cereal and/toast, so don't expect much. But, for the price, it's a great place to crash when you're on the road. But, the rooms are very small. I had a hurt leg and had to walk up stairs no elevator but besides that everything was ok

We needed a room for an overnight stay and didn't want to spend a fortune for it. I looked at the reviews online and chose Microtel by price and recommendations. I am glad I did. It was very clean, nice rooms (microwave, frig, big screen TV), and quiet. Staff was nice and helpful. It was a very pleasant experience.

This motel is in a great location. the shell station across the street has just about everything. the rooms are very comfortable. i highly recomend it.

Great room, comfortable a little on the small in size bit good. Bed was very comfortable

Hotel was clean, beds comfortable, price reasonable. Walls a little thin. Overall a good choice for Longview tx.

room was small but overall nice hotel to stay in. clean and friendly staff.

The hotel was pretty decent and clean. I wouldn't mind staying there again or having any friends or family stay there.

We stayed in the Microtel with our daughters softball team for their state tournament. We couldn't have asked for better. The price was great. Area was wonderful! There is a Grandy's/Exxon, Burger King, Sonic/Shell, right in front of the hotel. The hotel staff was great. We had our family of 5 in one room w/ 2 queen beds and the fit was great. I spent quite a lot of my one night stay at this hotel thinking about how I would review it afterwards...it was very, very strange, more than anything. After a long day driving, I arrived at 10:15 pm, managed to pull my sleeping young kids out of the van and have them help pull the luggage in to the front door. The door into the lobby wouldn't open. […] The front desk lady glared out at us in the pre-lobby through a pane of bullet-proof glass with a slit in it. I gave her my name. "Oh, we thought you weren't coming," she said, with no smile, and pushed a sheet of paper and a room key to me. "We ain't got no elevator for you people. You gotta walk around the building and come in the side entrance with your room key." "Could we walk though the building to get there?" I asked. "We don't really want to get back into the car." "No - we lock the doors after nine from the inside, so you can't get in this way. You have to walk outside." Wait, I thought - it's so dangerous outside that the front door is locked even to guests and she needs to talk to me from behind bullet-proof glass, but she wants me and my two half-asleep, under-6-year-old children to walk out there while pulling luggage? And if my key works to let me in the side door, why won't it open the front door? How is that safer for any of us? Even though I asked several times for her to clarify, because I just didn't believe I was understanding her correctly, in the end she made it clear that we had to walk outside. When we walked to the side door, there was a four-foot-tall, heavy thing like a very tall traffic cone standing just in front of the door, which we had to move before we could access it. Once we got in and walked up the stairs, I noticed that half the doors along the second-floor hallway were slightly open. I couldn't see or hear what was going on inside them, but it's the first time I've ever seen that in a hotel and it just made me uncomfortable. My husband and I stayed here just to get away for a weekend and we needed it to be cheap. The bed was great, the setup was small but no bother to us. Had an updated tv. We booked non smoking and for once it didn't smell like someone had smoked in it. Free internet was a plus. One of the night people could have been a little more personable but all the […] others were extremely nice and helpful. The cleaning people were very persistant. We like to sleep in very late and the knocks started coming at 8 and did not stop every 20 mins till we put a do not disturb sign on the handle. The walls aren't super thick. The tub could have been a little more fixed. For the amount we paid for the room though, you couldn't beat it. If you want 4 star you'll have to pay for it. The fixtures in the bathroom were all functioning but in disrepair. The bed was comfortable, but despite a non-smoking room, the comforter had a burn mark. No smoke smell in our room, but the rest of the place had the smell throughout. It was quiet and breakfast was adequate.

We were passing through. Beware, you can easily miss your exit so be sure and research the exit number or street name before your trip. We missed our turn and had to drive 6 miles to turn around. Anyway, the room was nice, but they did not run the air when no one is in the room so the room was very hot and humid when we got there at 10pm. The AC ran […] for an hour or so before it became bearable but it was hard to get the bed cooled down enough to be confortable to get into. BTW, the beds should be upgraded to pillow-top mattresses to be consistant with other microtels. There is no elevator which probably isn't necessary since it is only 2 story, but would have been nice. the breakfast was OK and the flat screen tv was good. The AM agent was not real friendly. This hotel is a great value, as long as extras are not a big deal to you. If you have to have a big room with a good shower, then you'll have to pay for a more expensive hotel. But if you just want a clean place to sleep, why pay extra?

Yes the room was small, but I guess that's why it's a "microtel." Still the room was clean, sheets and towels were also clean. The bed wasn't the most comfortable, but the tv worked great and there was ample storage for such a small room. The staff was very friendly and the work out room was just what I needed... Although there is a large Microtel sign near the road, the arrow points to the left, indicating "down the road." But the road to Microtel is long and winding and when you get there, there are no signs or address on the building to indicate that you are at Microtel. As you travel down the winding road, it appears that you are entering a rest home or […] rehabilitation center. Maybe that's positive because it doesn't look like a hotel. Hotel is nicely kept and clean. The rooms are small but that was expected. Not large enough for more than 2 people so don't try it with kids. The only problem we had was that the walls were so thin we could hear EVERYTHING from the room next door, at 4:30 in the morning! Evidently several other people compalined and the management told the people to […] hold it down the next night and we had no more "excitement" from adjoining room. The hotel was very clean but as another traveler noted, for "after hours" entry you check in at front desk, but then must walk outside to the end of the hotel to get in a back door. It's not a warm fuzzy feeling lugging your bags around the building in freezing weather. The room was clean but the heater did not work and there were no blankets in the […] room! on a business trip it was clean, comfortable, and queit.

it was one of the worst motel i have ever stayed in, except the one with bed bugs...they lock the front door,and would not let us out,had to come in and out the doors on the end of the motel,good way to get knock in the head..

quiet, close to restaurants, room was kinda small and it did not have an iron but was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I would book there again.

The room was very tiny, but for the price and one night, it worked out great, wouldn't be able to stay longer, need more room for longer stay. I do recommend for one night.

Very clean and quiet. Friendly staff. Close, but not too close, to the Interstate, gas stations and restaurants. The free breakfast was was "healthy" (cereal, bagels, toast, juice and coffee).

Pretty much what you would expect. Good value. Food close by. Nice staff.

After seeing the ads for Microtel - catering to the business client - I decided to seek one out and give it a try. The staff didn't really seem to care that I was there - they seemed tired and "i wanna go home" attitude. The lobby and entry way apparently were either being updated or repaired - could not tell which, and the STAIRS to the second floor […] made you feel like you were going "behind the scenes"... cove base was missing from walls... it just felt "not good".
