Wonderful building with many features, good size room, receptionist very freindly and helpful. Very convenient for town centre. On the downside radiator in bathroom did not work, this meant damp towels in the morning. Staff just apologised instead of getting it fixed. My stay was during very sudden and extreme weather. Hotel was conveniently located, clean, quite, warm and well presented. I particularly liked my room, lots of space and storage also. I found reception to be busy, 1 person = queue. Breakfast wasn't included in my stay, an extra cost. Breakfast was acceptable Full english but not value for money, especially […] when there's a pub (a chain) just down the road which offers the same a less than half price. Main issue is the parking, although free, this was full to capacity and access was difficult. The hotel is too big for the cark park. Excellent quality hotel - the usual high standards of Best Western. Beware the reliance on parking - there should be sufficient but we arrived at 16.00 on a saturday and there were no spaces. We later noticed they advertise day time parking to non-residents- for a fee, not what I would expect from a quality chain.

I've stayed here twice and will stay again. The location is perfect for visiting the theatre and the sites. Parking is convenient. It's easy to find off the motorway. The staffis great. The rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms are nice. What more can you ask for? :)

Our room was beautiful, beds comfortable and located near Henley Street for shopping. The staff was always welcoming and very helpful. No A/C or fridge/microwave. The one and only thing that was not so great was the parking the hotel provides on the premises. Very tight spots and people parking in places that were not designated for parking. Causing […] us to sqeeze so closely between the building and parked car to get out that we ended up scratching our rental car. OUCH!!!! I would stay here again but I would try to park in the front of the building were there are only 4 spots available. Plenty of parking in the back if you can get out. problems for us were: Hotel car park was full and we had to find other parking. Room was quite warm without air-conditioning (only ceiling fan). Bathroom exhaust fan did not work.

Great staff, clean room and good location. Because it was a 19th century building turned into a hotel, its a bit funky. We had to go up a flight of stairs and then down another to get to our room. Being adventurous, we loved it!

The Hotel itself was very good. My only complaint was it advertised free parking for their guests, but because their was a wedding at the hotel we were unable tgo park there.

All good would highly recommmend a very pleaseant stay.

This is a very nice hotel set in a really nice position in the centre of Stratford. Classy yet not over the top and gives you that homely feeling. Rooms of a good standard and well furnished.

This is a very good hotel, lovely room and bar / restaurant too. The only drawback is that it says on their website you can park the next day. However, you do have to pay... Is doesn't mention this..! Overall, I would stay there again though.

The Grosvenor worked well for me--it was a few minutes from the center of town, on a safe street, close to the areas I planned to visit. The room was comfortable, had everything I needed, and was private. The hotel common areas were a little dated, but I was agreeably reminded of the kinds of hotels I stayed in with my parents when I was a child. We probably had the worst room in the hotel. To access it we had to climb 2 flights of stairs, cross a corridor then back down the same amount of stairs to our room even though there was a fire door leading right onto the car park 5 or 6 rooms away. Our view was non existent as although it looked onto the smokers/beer garden, there was a huge umbrella […] in front of our window so we could see virtually nothing. I stay here every year when attending a nearby tradeshow. Everything about this property is first rate. I'll stay again next year, and then the year after that, and so on.

Very good location to wander about Stanton. Nice Room, great value, helpful staff. No complaints - great hotel.

The hotel was in a prime location for Stratford Upon Avon. The fact you are able to stay in the car park while you explore the town is a great benefit. The check-in was quick, staff were polite and friendly, location was good, room was clean. There were only 2 minor flaws, if I had to make a comment on something. 1 was the fact that the shower gets […] *extremely* slippy. I actually did fall over as I just totally lost my balance. While I am in my early 20's and managed to laugh it off after the odd bruise I can't help but feel concerned for elderly residents staying here. There is a warning, low down which tells people who are in the bath to take care when they get up but I missed this sign as it was low - and I was busy washing my hair not using a hand rail to get out the bath!! So really, I had no chance. I absolutely think it's essential they get one of those in-bath mat type things which prevent friction as my fall could have been much worse. The second thing I would say is that the water in the sink tasted awful. So when I woke up in the middle of the night feeling really thirsty after realising there was no bottled water in the room I had to dash to the bathroom sink for a drink but it was really terrible. In hindsight I could have seen if the night porter could have served me bottled water at the bar but I was too tired to think about that at the time. Was so pleased to see that the hotel website had not fibbed and the theatre and all the sites and restaurants were easily walkable. Staff were pleasant and friendly we did not take up the offer of breakfast as it seemed alot to pay but cannot comment on quality of food.

Small hotel, close to Town (5 min walk to centre). Friendly staff. I have always enjoyed the food. Good day parking rate of staying after Mid-day. Some of the rooms are a little dated but have always found the beds very comfortable.

Ideal central location with free parking meaning that all attractions were easily accessible by foot. Hotel is currently being refurbished (November 2010) but this did not impact our stay at all. Only crticism I had was that rooms were warm, but better that than too cold. Would stay again.

Parking during the weekends is a bit of a pain. Lot is 55 spaces and they have 73 rooms. They host weddings and other events on the weekends making the parking situation even worse. (Not to mention some of the staff park cars in the lost as well. Staff for the most part is great. Very much enjoyed chatting with people at the front desk. Had a great […] stay of 24 nights. Room was kept clean. Room service is horrible. Expensive as I would expect but the food is not good at all. Breakfast was always served hot and promptly. This hotel is in an ideal location but really needs refurbishing which seems to be becoming a theme with a lot of Best Western hotels. The room was a decent size and the bathroom was large. They were clean but old tiles and carpet etc just makes it feel a bit grotty. It was quiet and although the shower was really old and couldn't be detached from […] the wall, it was powerful and there was pleny of hot water. Our booking was on a room only basis, they offered us breakfast for an extra £14.95 per person but we just walked round the corner to The Encore where we had had a beautiful meal the night before. I don't know if it was just a particularly busy night when we turned up but it is worth bearing in mind that parking is not guaranteed. They expect you to park in the nearby leisure centre which is £3 from 6pm to 8am but £20 for 24 hrs. I don't know if this regularly happens, it was quieter when we left. It was about 8:30pm when we got there and since we didn't know about the parking limitations they squeezed us in where there wasn't a parking space. we had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel and would love to go back, conveniently situated only a short stroll into the town centre, everything about it was lovely.

Well appointed hotel, positioned just away from the town centre, yet conveniently situated for all its attractions. The one way system didn't really affect us on either arrival or when leaving. Our room didn't have a particularly good view, but that wasn't important as we were out a lot. Car parking is good, w earlkier)ith spaces behind and to the side […] of the hotel. Attending a conference and wanted a hotel away from the main venue. Hotel was clean and the staff were all pleasant. Breakfast was very English and very enjoyable. Bar and Bar Food good and reasonably priced

On arrival we circled the the small car park to no avail ! I left the car and asked the receptionist for advice, I was treated as if I was a nuisance and told to use a near by public car park ! The hotel in general was ok clean and in a good location but to be honest I wouldn't rush back perhaps if the staff could raise a smile it would help !

Yes, a very nice hotel. Everything was exactly as expected. I would stay here again, and again.

A very good hotel. The hotel is within two minutes walk of the town centre and its historic buildings. The hotel itself was very clean and tidy.The staff were all very helpfull and friendly. We will be stopping there again if in the area. We have never had a bad stay at Best Western but this is proably the best.

Check in greeting friendly and efficient, but was taken aback next day when told by a staff member that there was no hotel safe in which I could store jewellery! As a result I ended up carrying it in my bag all day, as it would then at least be covered by personal insurance. On leaving I spoke to a different member of staff who was genuinely stunned […] and bewildered that I had been told there was no safe. There is definitely one available, and not just in the executive rooms as the other staff member had claimed. So if you find yourself being denied safe storage insist on speaking to another member of staff or the manager. Hopefully this confusion has been cleared up and no one else will trip over it. Location of hotel was terrific being a five minute walk for the able-bodied from the centre of town. As we stayed during the week parking was not an issue, but leaving on Friday evening the car park was at capacity. Room comfortable and very clean. We had a lovely little balcony on which to sit in the sun. The only problem with the room itself was the noise of the bathroom fan which stayed on for a good 20 minutes after leaving the bathroom, and was very loud at 2am. We didn't eat at the hotel so I can't comment on the food; we decided it was so close to town there was little point. Et godt hotel i sædvanlig Best Western stil. Pænt stort værelse og god morgenmad.

het ontbijt in dit en vermoedelijk alle engelse hotels is vrij prijzig.We hebben dan ook buiten de deutr ontbeten.Voor het diner was er althans de keer dat wij er waren weinig belangstelling.
