The hotel is great. I do have one suggestion. The valet needs to be improved. We waited at least 20 mins even after calling in advance to get our car.

We stay here every time we have to be at Cleveland Clinic. Price is not always thenurse cheapest, but its so worth it.

Liked this better than the Intercontinetal hotel. My biggest gripe may be viewed by most as a minor one, NO Soft drinks with sugar!!!!! It seems the health police are restricting sugar and soft drinks. I know these are viewed badly, but what about diet products with artificial sweeteners and there problems?!?! Everything about the hotel is great. I had no problems. Valet is quick and the entire staff is very friendly.

We were there because our youngest daughter was having surgery at the clinic. No mention of paying for parking, cheaper to leave your car in hospital lot, not even supposed to go to your own car. Must have a valet retrieve it even if as I did you just forgot your phone charger. If you are a licensed concealed carrier as I am they don't allow guns on […] the premises. Paid for "high speed" wireless internet access and got less than 1 mbs so don't bother paying the extra fee. Had to call 3 times for extra towels. We stayed here for two nights...a family of four. PLUSES: The suite was spacious and comfortable. The decor of the hotel is sleek, elegant, understated, and modern...all white and teak, with clean lines and right angles. The fitness center is very well appointed and it's open 24 hours. The taste of the food was […] excellent, and there's a healthy (low-sodium, low-fat) menu selection at each meal, and those selections are very tasty and filling. MINUSES: The service in the restaurant was appallingly slow for all three meals we consumed. At dinner the first night, the chef botched my order and had to re-do it, causing more than a thirty-five minute wait for what was essentially breaded turkey, falafel, and a salad. The wait staff provided some compensation for the inconvenience. The next morning, an order of pancakes took more than 30 minutes. The following morning, after the waitress told us that things would be faster this day, two omelettes and two waffles took more than FORTY minutes. So don't have a meal if you're in a hurry. On the morning of the departure, someone had made a smelly and very unpleasant mess in the hallway outside our room (it was New Year's Day). We notified the management at 7:15 AM. When we returned to our room after the endless breakfast at 8:45, it was still there! The front desk assistant only said, "Our housecleaning staff doesn't come in until 9." I believe that if you're running a high-class hotel and someone has heaved their stomach's contents into your hallway, you don't wait for the housecleaners to arrive, TWO HOURS LATER. Difficulty in entering the hotel (must go past it and turn around somewhere to enter from the other direction), slow service in the dining room and then the food was overcooked, valet lost our keys and we had to go pick them out on the wall of keys,

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in; mind you having stayed in many FSs and RCs. I looked at the Ritz Carlton in Cleveland while I was downtown and it looked positively dowdy. The Doubletree is four miles from downtown and next to the Cleveland Clinic who supplies 80% of their guests. However there is a transit train which wisks you downtown […] in five minutes and costs $2.25. You can also buy an all day pass. My room was superb - a suite with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in . I used to be a big fan of the Westin Heavenly bed but the Doubletree bed exceeded even that. I wish that I could have taken it home. There also is a radio which will play various nature sounds during the night. I set mine to waves and fog horn on low and it really lulled me to sleep. Cleveland SUCKS; (yes, you women who just kept on talking and walking when I was trying to get directions - totally, on purpose ignoring me), many people were incredibly rude, wait staff were totally unprofessional in the few places I ate outside the hotel. I would advise you to skip this city unless you have to go there. But if you do go, stay at the Cleveland Clinic Doubletree and I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Happy travelling. We arrived to friendly valet parking and great front desk service. Our room was spacious for our family of five. Very clean and comfortable.

I came here for a conference at the cleveland clinic. It was comfortable with nice ambiance. They had relaxing music playing when i entered the room and had the most comfortable pillows, which was much needed after a long 9 hours of lectures. It also had a mini fridge and a desk where I could study. They also had free wifi that I used to look up things […] and they prinited out my boarding pass for my upcoming flight. Clearly superb location on the Cleveland Clinic campus, and just a few minutes drive to downtown and other areas of interest. The hotel looks like it has been recently renovated, making the rooms, baths, etc. very comfortable. Excellent service from the front desk and valet parking; poor service from housekeeping. It seemed like there is only one cleaning/housekeeping […] crew for the whole, 8-floor hotel, which meant that cleaning services were not guaranteed for all the rooms in any one day. EVERYTHING WAS GREAT UNTIL CHECK-OUT. WE CHECKED OUT AT APPROX. 6:00A.M. ONE MAN WAS THERE, CHECKING IN AND OUT PEOPLE, ALSO CHASING DOWN VALET PARKING . HE COULD NOT FIND OUR CAR. This is a nice hotel, new and clean, with good service, and available at a good price, for a 4-star hotel, if you book early. It's not as close on the map to University Circle as it looks, unless you want to drive everywhere. But the Museum of Art is within walking distance if you are used to walking. It's really a hotel for the surrounding hospitals […] and clinics. The restaurant was good if nearly empty. I was displeased that the hotel refused to provide me with a written bill inclusive of all services. I requested email of "extra charges" that was not sent. I was referred to hotels.com. This is a nice renovation and a good alternative to the intercontinental conference center. Staff was extremely good and solicitous. Morning papers all there FT, WSJ, USA today in the AM

Came into town with my husband and 2 month old for an event at Case. The hotel is close and convenient which was mainly what we were looking for. The big beautiful room made me wish we had more time to lounge during a busy weekend. Would definitely stay there again.

What a pleasure to be able to write a great review for a hotel that has pulled iteself up by its bootstraps and really done a great job! With a kid at a local college and a relative who needed medical attention, we have watched this little jewel go from dismal, outdated with problems to an updated, clean beauty. Problems with HVAC have been addressed, […] rooms can now (if requested) have air purifiers for cardiac/pulmonary patients. Spacious rooms with Keurig coffee machines and tight-but-bright kitchenette, we would definitely stay here again. They still need to address that need for a tiny but effective grocery area (sodas, snacks, etc.), but we understand the need to direct hotel patrons to their own kitchen. Very nice Hotel. Well worth the rate we paid. Beautiful room with kitchenette, front room, bath with extended separate room and bedroom. Much larger than i thought it would be for the price. There were a few hairs on the sheets. I pulled them off and we actually just forgot about it. The breakfast in the lobby was very good but the server (a trainee) was exceptionally slow. We were almost late for our appointment. I mentioned the hairs on the sheet at checkout when asked about my stay. He didn't look at me or acknowledge that I had said […] anything at all. He simply handed me my final bill and thanked us for staying. I got a good deal on the rate so I didn't push it. But it was pretty disappointing from a customer-service standpoint. spacious rooms easy in and out

The hotel was being renovated so work was being done in the public areas. The room was clean and comfortable. However, the cleaning staff took away used towels, cups and coffee supplies without replacing them. We called the front desk for replacements in the morning but had to get them off of a cleaning cart. The location is convenient to University […] Circle but the only parking is valet. Granted the hotel was wonderful...we registered in the Suites and we then started having trouble with one of our windows blowing open even though it was locked...this happened several times and we called the front desk and they sent up a maintenance man to fix it but it was going to be a couple of hours for him to repair it so we asked to be moved and […] they were overbooked so they sent us over to the Conference Center(which was an upgrade so we thought). That room was nice but not as nice as the first one. It was close to the Cleveland Clinic and that was all. They charge $16 dollars a day for valet parking and room service was outrageous! We checked out and when we got home the next day my husband checked our bank account and they chareged us twice for our stay and he called and they said it would be taken care of....so the next day he checked again and instead of a credit they charged us again. He called again and they said it would be taken care of ....so he checked again this morning and this time, they charged us twice again which made us overdrawn. Well, at least the room was nice, comfortable and CLEAN! They do have a zero tolerance noise policy at night, which was awesome! However, the service was so incredibly horrible. Lets start with no vending machines. They have a little overpirced store with beverages and snacks, but it seems to close promptly around 9pm. Going a block in either direction of the hotel puts you in a pretty rough neighborhood. I found the staff to be "fake nice." I hate that! Also, your only parking option is valet, with sounds fine. The valet charge is pretty hefty. For convenience I was willing to pay that. But during checkout, which is at 11am, we ended up waiting about an hour and a half for our car to be brought up. People that came down after us got their cars first. We ended up not having to pay the charge after waiting for an hour. But, it STILL took them another half hour to bring our car up. After several more complaints, and a manger saying, "let me see what I can do for you sir," ( she was very fake nice, but still made it seem like I was inconveniencing her.) This is not a good hotel value. The room is average in comfort, you are charged fro WiFi and parking and, other than Cleveland Clinic, there is nothing in walking distance.

This hotel was fantastic! Convenient to many local attractions. The cleanliness was outstanding! Our comfort level was so great we didn't want to leave!

I was looking for a place that was reasonably priced and that had in-hotel dining. We were visiting the Rock and Roll HOF but were interested in exploring the city a bit as well. The hotel is there for the convenience of people at the clinic. If you do not have business at the clinic don't stay there. It is a long way away from anything business or tourist related and there are no cabs in the area. The hotel itself is more like a glorified Holiday Inn with marble floors. The restaurant was barely okay. The rooms are quite big […] but certainly not suites, more like a big bedroom with a divider. They are comfortable and the TV and internet were fine.
