Easy check in, convenient location if the airport is your destination and super comfy beds at a reasonable price. Only question... would a taxi from the airport have been cheaper?

The bed was too hot...but the location was very convenient to airport. Breakfast was very good but staff were dsruptive with laughter over private joke...Would stay there again but only because of proximity to airport and parking and price/

We thought this hotel was great. The beds were extremely comfortable (although a Queen size would have been better). The staff were fantastic, on site food was great and everything we needed was available or close by. It was easy to travel into the city by train - only a short walk to the station. The hotel is perfect for Sydney Airport. Lovely included breakfast but evening meals are expensive with not a great choice and very little on the plate. If looking for an evening meal best to go to Holiday Inn along the road. Better choice and better value for money.

The hotel was clean as was my room and bathroom. The room was small, but totally fine for an overnight between flights. The breakfast was substantial with a choice of continental or buffet. I chose the buffet and there was plenty of food to chose from. The front desk service was helpful. My only issue was that I arrived in the evening into the domestic […] terminal and just missed the shuttle bus. I wish that the buses ran more frequently. I chose to walk - it took about 20 minutes. I had a pleasant stay, everything was fine. I had two rooms only downside was that we wasn't a joint room. Other then that, friendly staff and overall was great.

We could not fault the hotel, except the service at breakfast. When we came down for breakfast, my wife asked what breakfast was available for us and our 4 yr old daughter. She was told, very curtly, $22 each. I checked at the reception desk, and the woman there told us we had different options including toast and coffee at $10.50, or continental at […] $17 (I think). Good location. Walking distance from train station. Airport shuttle available.although be aware that morning shuttles can be delayed due to traffic to and for airport. Room adequate for overnight stay.

Excellent. Professional and polite staff, great restaurant, shuttle bus to airport a wonderful convenience. (mobile phone reception in my room did not work, but this did work in restaurant area, for phone calls)

Convenient to airport but expensive for what it is. We had a room that appeared to have been wheelchair accesible and remodeled to be for the able bodied. Seemed like a waste. Not an inexpensive hotel and not great value for money. The much ballyhooed beds were double - not queen sized. I am skinny but 6 foot plus and the bed, while comfortable, was […] too short for me. The Hotel and our rooms were VERY CLEAN, the quality of the service by the front dest was top notch. The Hotel was located close to the airport so we chose it as we were at the end of a 12 day cruise and needed to rest before making the trip to the Central USA.

Close to the airport. Room reasonable size, very clean, enjoyed the meal although it wasnt a vast menu the food was tasty. Early morning staff very cheerful and helpful. Would stay again

Compared to the hotels I have stayed at, my first time stay at the Ibis was very impressive, impeccable service and FREE internet wow, the Crowne Plazas and the Star city Hotel were too mean to offer that . Will definately stay at the Ibis the next time

Would prefer menus and other information in writing. very fiddly to have to navigate tv for information especially when very tired. Girls at front desk very friendly and helpful. More signage would be appreciated for use of downstairs food bar.

people at reception were very helpful. The room was very small-about same size as cabin on cruise ship, but adequate for 2 night stay. Did not eat at restaurant because it was very expensive. It is definitely an economy hotel.

Room was OK as we were staying over due to collecting family arriving at the airport early in the morning. Granted, we booked a budget room. Room was fairly compact (Double bed and a single) which could have been awkward if we had large suitcases and hand luggage with us for an international flight. Did not try the restaurant but it looked good and […] there was a nice smell from the food. Vending machine in the hallway had one of the cheapest bottles of soft drink (Coke, Fanta, Water) I've seen in Sydney at $2.60 for a 600ml bottle. You'd expect to get ripped off, but no. Needs an easy chair as the one that's in is not comfortable. Needs an Extractor fan in bathroom and a couple of hand towels as there were known at all. Cost of breakfast very expensive. So we did not have one.

Totally over-priced for what you get - it's a low-end budget hotel that charges like an upmarket hotel when occupancy is high. Next time I'll pay $20 or $30 more and get what you pay for at a 4-star hotel

It was not much better than a cheap motel type accomodation, although close to the airport that was all it had going for it, the attached restaurant was very disapointing and expensive, had to wait for other patrons before you could get a menu.

a) I did not feel comfortable with the room maids, who obviously came from a foreign land and spoke not a word of English. b) the continuously changing personnell at the service desks was quite confusing; one seldom had the chance to talk to the same person twice c) my room door would not open when inserting the card; after arguing with service desk […] they finally asked the house technician to come; he changed the whole handle and key device, but I continued to have problems opening my door with the card. The staff @ this hotel are very friendly, rooms r clean but a bit cramped that includes the bathroom. Its not far from the airport and the airport transfer is prompt, cheap and kids don't pay. Overall it was a great place to stay overnight.

We were to stay the night before our flight back to the states. Due to bad weather in North Queensland, we had to return a day earlier to Sydney so we stayed an extra night. Getting the room was no problem, but it was more money than the orignal cost of the first night. The room was small, but comfortable, but I would only recommend 1 night max. The […] train station was nicely located, only a 5 min walk. Here's the downside. Reserved a taxi for the airport at 4:30 AM. Got down stairs to check out and NO taxi was reserved. Managed to get one anyway. My husband went down stairs before we checked out and managed to get coffee, the girl at the desk asked if he wanted milk for the coffee and he said NO thinking we had some in our room. When I asked for the milk she said I couldn't have any as the kitchen staff was not in and couldn't have another cup of coffee either! WHAT! Ok so that's my review. I reccomend getting milk the night before if you have an early flight. Also, they charge a 1.5% surcharge for using your credit card. They will tell at the end of your stay. Nice hotel for 1 night. Enjoyed the stay. Had everything I wanted. Didn't like having to pay $6.00 for the shuttle. They're close enough to the airport they should have a free shuttle. Internet was pricey, but that seems to by typical for Australia.

We looked for a hotel near to the airport because of our connection and it was close, which was good. This was our first experience in an Ibis Hotel and we were satisfied. However, we were disappointed with the bathroom. It was very small and uncomfortable, but we are not sure if this is part of the Ibis Hotel characteristics.
