"The Intercontinental Lalit in Goa, India"
We recently stayed at this property on the southern end of Goa, India. Our visit was full of incidents regarding quality and service. Despite repeated complaints and meeting with duty manager, their service remained lousy. Since we prepaid for the trip and could not find another decent hotel nearby, we ended up staying for two nights. Good hotel for travellers thinking of peace and relaxation as it is far away from the town rush. Not recommended for people planning for shopping, public beach resorts and goan night life.
"Lalit Intercontinental South Goa"
After a poor check in experience, we were probably looking for problems, so it is a credit to the cheerful, positive work of the housekeeping, room service and restaurant teams, that we had a really nice time. It is rare that the suite you get actually matches the photographs but these do. Ours was a standard ground floor non-smoking suite The rooms […] are spacious with large comfortable beds, spacious seating area and good bathrooms with large shower and seperate tub. Wehad double french doors leading to a small but pleasant patio. Air conditioning was fully controllable, so we didn't end up freezing and there was a very effective ceiling fan. The A/C was seldom needed. There is a large, well maintained pool with OK loungers and plenty of space. Gardens are lovely, lots of flowers and plants. The walk down to the sea is across the fairway of one of the golf holes but this was not a problem. We were here at the start start of the season, so it here were relatively few beach loungers and the beach restaurant was not open, the area did not look well kept but this is possibly unfair as the rains had put preparation behind. The golf course actually looks like a real 9 hole course. At least 1 hole is well over 400 yards and the greens look well kept. Although I did not play on this trip, I was impressed enough that I will go back for golf. There is nowhere else in Goa to play golf, other than pitch-and-putt. The Sea BQ restaurant was not open but Canacona is a multicuisine restaurant selling good food with a nice wine range at reasonable prices. Service was good but there was normal Indian hotel issue of waiting a while for the starter with the main arriving imediately after the starter is finished, still a good experience though. We had room service which was efficient and of a good standard. My wife received flowers from a friend but the reception team again let the side down by being unable provide a vase. the flowers were kept in a waste paper basket. again id this Διαβάστε περισσότερα
