Our stay was very comfortable , the staff were very friendly and welcoming.The room was very clean, we stayed at the Hilton in Bristol in the same month for two night which was very disappointing indeed.

Pleasant hotel, situated next to the cricket ground. A good breakfast and clean room, perfect for my business trip.

overall nice, as compared to what I paid for. The rooms were a bit nippy but other than that jolly good.

Spent two nights here immediately after two nights in the Bristol Hilton. Wish we had spent the first two nights here as well & commuted to Bristol !! Beat the Hilton (which was terrible) hands down. It was such a relief to have the basics again: i.e. courteous staff that made you welcome & a clean room with comfortable beds. I stay in this hotel a lot for work at the moment and I would recommend it for anyone looking for a comfortable, quiet night away. Friendly staff and prompt service with a rather nice pub only a mile away in West End - The Master Builder as the only downside is the poor menu choice.

Clean hotel and (depending on the purpose of your trip) a convenient location close to a Zoo, Porthmouth, Winchester and Southampton. Basic breakfast and friendly staff.

We used this hotel as a stopover proir to joining indipendance of the seas for our cruise. We would recomend this hotel to anybody.

The hotel`s location is not very good..But the hotel is fantastic.The rooms are very comfy,clean...The bed was very soft I slept like a baby. Unfortunately breakfast is very disappointment as I could not enjoy it at all. I highly recommend the hotel..

Used this hotel for an overnight stay. Clean pleasant room, which was a bit cold when entering, but warmed up once I turned on the heating. Receptionist was friendly, but I was disappointed that I was unable to order food after 10pm, and was offered take-away menus instead which I declined. We went to a family wedding witch was held at the Rose Bowl , so was great to have the hotel right on the door stop. Was lovely for the wedding breakfast to have everyone there in such a friendly place. Great food and plenty of it. The beds lovely and comfy and the rooms are a good size.

This is a good basic hotel for a good price. The hotel is spacious and modern. It has plenty of parking which is secure and free to hotel guests. It is close to Southampton and within easy reach of the M27 which makes a visit to Portsmouth easy too. There are also fast food places very close by at retail parks. Very good check in check out experience followed by a reasonably priced well presented dinner. Which was both wrm and very tasty. This could not be said about the complimentry breakfast with cold fatty bacon spoiling a balanced fresh meal

My wife and I had a great stay at the hotel. Very clean, very comfortable and very modern. Breakfast was great, different varieties available and it was all a great bargain. Will stay again and will recommend. 5 Stars!

Meals were very good. A good ambience.

We booked 2 rooms, and they kindly gave us connecting bedrooms, which made it feel abit like having a suite. The beds were very soft and comfy, the kind you sink into. It was the 4th of November and the Rosebowl (Cricket stadium) had a fireworks display on, because of where we were we stayed in the comfort of the hotel and had a free firework show which […] was amazing. Our car had broken down in the car park and the staff were very friendly and helpful when we called in recovery, and even checked the next morning that we were OK and the car was fixed. We had an evening meal and this was really nice, as a Vegi there wasn't much choice for me, but the pasta I had did not disappoint! Breakfast had a small option of hot food, scrambled eggs, beans and sausage. There was plenty of cereal, fruit, yoghurt, pastries and toast to keep you going though and plenty of types of drinks both hot and cold. I would recommend this clean, well presented hotel to anyone who is looking for somewhere to stay near enough to the motorway to have easy access but far enough away to not hear the cars and get a relaxing nights sleep! Very slow booking in at Reception. Bar staff very slow, difficult to understand, long wait for someone to appear at all. Still allow smoking in some rooms so ended up in a twin room and not a double as expected. Very poor menu not much choice, only item I could eat turned out to be off the menu and no notice had been displayed despite fryer having broken […] earlier in the day so unable to do fish or chips. Meal extremely slow to arrive. Even at 7am long queue for breakfast, again very slow, hot items gone cold before able to use toaster and do any toast. We couldn't believe our luck to have chosen such a perfect hotel with easy access off the M27 motorway after a long haul back from France. The staff were friendly and professional and the rooms were clean and to the highest standards. Will definitely stay here again. Top Marks Holiday Inn!

The hotel is fine - easy to locate if you follow the signs to The Rose Bowl. Hotel is clean and very presentable with a great breakfast. The only issue is the mattress. It was easily the worst hotel mattress I have slept on for many years. Two people simply roll into the middle. No support what so ever. Really good as a value hotel to stay at with kids. Comfortable and clean room, but as with most hotels the rooms are always too warm. Good breakfast for the price - bit of a queue for it though, but I would recommend the hotel for the price it was great value

The hotel was fine, our room was a bit dusty but we would proberly stay there again if we were in the area. The only problem is when we got there we were standing at reception for about 15 minutes because the booking was in the name of Phil W***** not my name Dave W*****. The hotel had to call hotels.com and confirm if the room was ours. They were […] concerned a Phil W***** would turn up and want the room. Finally they were happy the room was for us! The room was great apart from the shower hose leaked badly and some of the bed linen had marks on it apart from that the breakfast was average could do better

This is a new hotel and so is in good condition. The room and public areas were very clean. The adjoining outdoor free parking is very convenient. Location is a little far from the centre of Southampton.

Location was excellent and very easy to navigate to from LHR. Excellent for the business traveller - the overall impression is quite sterile and boring, so it's easy to complete any work. The room was clean and had everything you expect. The food at Holiday Inns is usually a good standard, but the food at this particular one was quite poor overall. Dinner […] choices were extremely limited (about 8 items on the menu), everything was too-hot (ie pre-prepared and then microwaved to within an inch of its life). No fresh fruits or vegetables. Booked this hotel at the last minute as had to be in Southampton. The hotel is not very convenient for the city centre (15min drive, non-rush hour), but very convenient for the Rose Bowl.
