A relaxing place with a character (as a former monastery), certainly far superior to the numerous other Sorrento hotels, apartment block like, of the same tourist category. Helpful personnel, ample common areas, fair breakfast, splendid surroundings, neat details, clean overall with modernized utilities. On the downside: bed-sheets have not been changed for five nights, rather poor room service (bed roughly laid), some problems with the common bathroom. Generally, I would not recommend rooms with a shared bathroom to future customers, especially during peak seasons.

Hotel Correra was a very pleasant surprise during our short stay in the chaotic, dirty but at the same time charming city of Naples! The location was perfect in order to see the main sites of the city. Our room was very clean and comfortable, the staff was very kind and helpful and the breakfast was good enough. We definately recommend hotel Correra for every visitor of Naples.

This small town is wonderfully located over white steep cliffs and offers a fantastic view over the Bay of Naples. Typical products from Sorrento are produced with these Limoni: Limoncello, a very tasty lemon liqueur, lemon chocolate, colorful ceramic articles with lemon motives, or lemon soap. Or, try more than 70 different ice cream flavors at Gelateria Bougainvillea.

Not a walking distance from Sorrento train station (20 min), but bus is available right out side. Bus service is frequent.

Our stay at the Hotel Minerva could not have been better. Our rooms were on the sixth floor and had magnificent balconies with wonderful views of the Bay of Naples and Mt. Vesuvius. We have stayed in many 5 star luxury hotels around the world. The service of the staff at the Minerva was as good or even better than many of the 5 star hotels and resorts. We stayed there for 3 nights and had a room with a balcony. The view is stunning.The location is very convenient. The hotel lobby is on the 5th floor with a couple of cosy areas […] as well as a large outdoor terrace and stacks of books that people leave behind. Fabulous- My Daughter and Mother stayed there several years ago and recommended it...no dissappointment. old style Italian furnishings, lovely room with open shutters to the balcony overlooking the sea, 10 minute walk to the center of town, the staff bent over backwards to help us with anything we needed, the food was remarkable, good local/ out of […] the area wine list and fairly priced with a wide variey of choices. I will definately return there and recommend it to anyone heading in that direction. When we left early in the morning (before breakfast) they gave us a bag of breakfast goodies to take with us. "One of the best"
One of the best hotels/location we enjoyed during a 4-week trip in Italy. Our room featured fantastic views of the city and harbor. Hotel staff was professional and friendly. Only drawback was that local taxis were so expensive we decided to walk everywhere, which limited our dinner options, but, overall this was a small price to pay.

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel just on the outskirts of town...only a 10 minute walk into town. Basic fitness and no injuries would be my only suggestion. Our favorite hotel--BY FAR-- of any we stayed in during 3 weeks in Italy. The best feature? The staff! The were patient and so helpful with our endless questions about restaurants, directions, the best ways to see various sights, transportation options, etc, etc. Tied closely for best feature? Wonderful hotel with amazing views. Although not in the center of Sorrento, you are within walking distance to everything. The hotel staff is very accomodating and the breakfast each morning was excellent. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

We arrived at the hotel around 9:00 PM and the staff suggested we should hurry to get dinner before the restaurant closed. We went out on the terrace, sat down at a table and looked up. And then we held our breath: before our eyes lay the blue waters of the Gulf of Naples spotted by white boats of all kinds,we could see Naples and Pompeii spreading […] along the coast, with Mount Vesuvius rising right in the middle. "Hard to beat this beautiful property in Sorrento"
The view from our terrace was magnificent, as was everyone else's view, as well. The hotel management was very courteous and helpful. The bartender was exceptional, and the gentleman who helped park our car in the small garage (free parking) was a godsend. And the wireless internet worked great in our room! We loved the pool and visited it each day […] - a first for us in Italy even though this was our tenth trip there. The free breakfast was terrific on the amazing terrace. if there wasn't so much to do - Capri, Amalfi Drive, Positano, Pompei, shopping in Sorrento - we could have stayed at the hotel all day and still had a great vacation. "Hotel Minerva - Sorrento Italy"
Excellent view of Bay of Naples and town of Sorrento. Located on cliff on the edge of town but within in a 15 minute walk to the town center. Very clean hotel with a very comfortable room. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Excellent food! Pool with bar located on roof top is very refreshing.

Hotel Minerva, though a 10-15 minute walk from the centre of Sorrento, is perfectly located if you are looking for stunning views, beautiful rooms, friendly staff, and an easy-going atmostphere. You will never get sick of the views (we stayed in Room 101, tried not to think about that too much!), which had beautiful tiled floors, a huge bed, and the […] afore mentioned views. IWe must give a special mention to Antonio, the friendliest, most efficient barman in the world!! One tiny downside was the fact that we were not aware until check out that we had to pay a daily rate for parking, even though the hotel had its own car park. We would have preferred if this had been made clear to us from the start, rather than being left as a surprise at check out. Weird colors in room. qite small room. Asked for two single beds, wich we got... only 2 cm space between the beds though..!! Dad therefor slept on the sofa. Bathroom could be cleaner but ok. Nice shower. Very nice balkony with beautiful veiws. But all the balkonies are ajoining and you feel like you're sharing your balkony with your neighburs since […] there is nothing but a waist high wall between u. Very nice breakfast terrasse. Breakfast ok, but I've had better. Boring breads and croissants -dry. Very good coffee! Best with this hotel was: the veiws -amazing! location -not in the middle of noisy centre but only short walk from there. authentic italian feeling -not like any other modern hotel friendly staff - service could be better, but then again they are 4star and not 5star hotel. Worst about this hotel: you could hear when someone flushed or walked past in the hallway, also the road outside can be noisy if you have to keep the door open becouse of the heat -not a major problem but bring earplugs. "Excellent hotel in charming Sorrento!"
Me and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel for 6 nights in july 2010. We`d booked a room with balcony and seaview and really got what we`d paid for. The panaromic view was amazing, the room was pefect! Clean and big for our use and we really apreciated the extra room used as a wardrobe for clothes and suitcases. If you are staying for a while and would […] like to enjoy the afternoons on the balcony pay the extra for the view, no doubt! The hotel is located a 10 minutes walk from the center of Sorrento, but I would say it was a easy walk as we walked it a couple of times each day. It`s hard to walk with luggage, book a taxi from the station and back! The pool area is nice and calm with a snackbar. One of the guys working there was very outgoing and friendly. We did not have any trouble getting a sunbed when we wanted one. It was very hot during our stay, some days 40 degrees, so that may be the reason so many avoided the poolarea. We had dinner every night in town so I don`t know how the restaurant at the hotel. But breakfast was good (to be in i italy)! Sorrento is a perfect base to go on excursions and really romantic. It`s a city which is quite touristic so a week is enough. Visit Capri in the evening!! :) I would recommend Hotel Minerva to anyone! Nice and very helpful staff, a good experience for us!
