The hotel was wonderful. The room was very spacious, clean and quiet. The staff was particularly helpful and pleasant. Jill at the front desk and Sunil, the manager were so helpful. They arranged for a tour of the historic area downtown, as well as free and courteous pick up and drop off at convient times. It was very easy to access Historic Downtown Savannah, without the higher cost. Would like to see more items on the breakfast buffet, such as scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon selections. Would also be nice to have a SECOND waffle maker. The pool area was GREAT.

Had no problems until we asked about staying another night. We had originally only scheduled one night. Went down to the office to see what had to be done to add another night. We were on vacation for 2 weeks and this was one of many stops. We had originally made the reservation through hotel.com. The office clerk quoted us $119 for the 2nd night and […] knew we scheduled the first night through hotels.com. She got the manager on the phone to try to schedule 2nd night. Obviously it had to be done online again but she had no clue and undoubtedly neither did the manager. We then were quoted $149 for 2nd night and then still later $169. We said forget it and moved on to another hotel in Savannah. I would think this problem had to do with how we schedule the first night until I went to check out and a man came in asking about vacancies and got the 3 quote scenario while I was standing there (by a different reservation clerk). I've stayed at the Baymont a few times now when coming up from Florida to see my SCAD student or bring him home for a visit. The beds are REALLY comfortable, the room always clean, and it's always quiet. It's a quick ride to the SCAD dorms and to downtown but the price is affordable. Staff is great. What a great hotel located about 2-3 miles from historic savannah. I usually like to book hotels that offer a free continental breakfast with a stay as it is a nice surprise after I check in and remember that I don't have to pay for breakfast the next morning. However, this hotel was not very clean and detracted from the overall view of how the hotel is run. My first impression after checking in and walking to our […] room was the scratches and scrapes on the hallway walls and the stains on the carpeting. Our bathroom had what seemed to be permanent stains in the shower and toilet which made everything feel dirty. It wasn't a very big deal to us though since we were downtown most of the day and night at dinner and taking tours. But the next morning we found that the coffee machine in the lobby didn't even work which somewhat ruined our breakfast and had to stop by a coffee shop on the way out of town. Our room was near the rear of the hotel and was very quite.Maintenace was good and the hotel grounds seem to be well kept. Contenental breakfast area was well stocked and attended to by hotel personell. we found a good restaurant just a few blocks from the hotel. We would be happy to stay in this hotel again

When we checked in friday 3pm we were told there was a maintence problem and water was shut off. we didnt have water in room till 9pm that night totally unacceptable. hotel is in a run down neighborhood where i wouldnt want to be out after dark. breakfast was very minimal. pool was ok

They are very proud of there trip advisor rating and i dont see how they scored that high. There was no water for the first 6 hours of our stay. The tub did not drain when we tried to take a shower. I stayed in a suite. the tv in the living room was an 18" flat panel the bedroom did have a bigger one. They advertise free hbo but the channel never came […] in during our three day visit. The only convenience is the free shuttle to downtown. The complimentary breakfast is a complete joke. There was cereal muffins yogurt, good luck with the waffle maker. The hotel doesn't look like much on the outside, but the rooms are comfortable and clean. The hotel offers a good night stay at a very reasonable price. And the location isn't bad either, but they provide complimentary shuttle service to historic Savannah so it's super convenient.

We arrived late at night and had a young daughter that needed to get to sleep and the smoke alarm kept chirping and the toilet was running and the air conditioner was exceptionally loud. Room was quiet adequate. Good value for price. Rooms have window heat/air with variable control knobs which make it difficult to get exact temperature. Clothes hanger area is open with no doors. Vanity is inside small bathroom. Breakfast area is relatively small so gets crowded. Only one waffle iron which had a tendency to stick.

the hotel is basically across the street from a paper mill which has the smell of sewage off and on throughout our 2 day stay. Even if the hotel is right on a busy road with heavy truck traffic, the room was quiet. The hotel could need some renovation, AC was noisy and no fan in the main bedroom. Friendly and helpful reception. Free shuttle to and from downtown .

Front desk staff very kind and helpful. She had driving directions to all the local sites, and there was a shuttle to downtown if we preferred not to drive. Breakfast with waffle maker was a big hit for kids.

We had a really good stay on our trip to Savannah. The hotel is only about a ten minute drive to the Historic District. The hotel does provide a free shuttle to the Historic District which is a great convenience. The hotel has friendly staff, is in a safe location, is clean, quiet, had a nice simple breakfast, and we enjoyed our room. We'll return to visit our daughter at SCAD as it took us 5 min to get to the historic district and her dorm.
