Very nice hotel a few hundred meters from Checkpoint Charlie, in former West Berlin. Rooms are large and have a very good standard. Connection to the internet is free, but Wifi signal on the 4th floor a bit weak (there is a complementary Internet cable in the room). The room was spacious for a European Hotel. My friend's rooms were smaller, but none the less comfortable. Friendly, English speaking staff. Very clean facility. 3 blocks from Check Point Charlie. The breakfast was very good but a little pricey.

Great hotel. Concierge very helpful and friendly. About 3 blocks from the metro and checkpoint Charlie. Only complaint was the sheets were not changed and we were there 4 nights and when we requested service, they did not restock anything in the room.

Well situatied in a quiet area. The hotel location is very residential - so makes for a quiet stay. VERY conveniently located to Checkpoint Charlie and the U6 underground line. The Hotel was conveniently located 3 blocks from Checkpoint Charlie. My room was spacious, comfortable and clean.

The Winter`s Hotel was overall quite good. The Staff was nice, the room was clean and fresh and last, but not least, the breakfast was exceptional good.

Nice hotel

Booked this hotel based on past reviews and wasn't disappointed. Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is easy to reach from airport (Tegel) and good to explore the main tourist sites.I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Very impressed. Staff were helpful, room was big and comfortable, bathroom was great and the windows opened. The breakfast was expensive so we didn't try it but it looked ok. Good location, close to underground and buses. Would highly recommend, we stayed for four nights and would go again.

We left thr hotel extreemly satisfied. It was defenitly one of the trips highpoints. Especially high scores for the abundant and varied breakfast

Good locations, direct metro to Airport , Perfect place to stay and good Price Enjoy for me again...

Apart from room service, this place has all you need for a three star place. Would come back.

Great hotel just a short walk to sights. Staff were very nice and it was obvious that they tried to please. They even made comment to leave positive review if we were happy with our stay. Clearly they see importance of customer service.

Really a very nice place. The rooms were big and clean. Nice bathroom with a regular shower. The hotel has an elevator that is a decent size. Close to Checkpoint Charlie but a walk to most places. At Checkpoint Charlie you can get the tour busses for around town. I parked on the street for free but they also have a lot for a fee. I would stay again

Great location to see history at Checkpoint Charlie. Hotel very comfortable, people friendly, rooms clean. No language problem-----helpful employees for assistance--- Great coffee, no time to try restaurant. Loved our stay, too short, will be back. Mrs Cassidy

This is a good budget hotel (although i wouldn't rate it 4*),which is close to the Jewish Museum and Checkpoint Charlie. Potsdamer Platz is approx a 15-20 minute walk and Reichstag and Brandenburg Gate about a 30 minute walk. Don't worry though as there is an Underground station near to checkpoint charlie, which is a 5/10 minute walk! Hotel is very […] modern and clean and breakfast is deffinately worth having for 12 euros each, we had it on 3 of our 4 mornings as compared it with other cafes locally and for the extras that you got it was not bad value! We took a taxi to and from Schoenefeld Airport as wasn't sure it would be that easy to get via trains. It cost us between 35 and 40 euros for a 30 min trip, so not the cheapest but it saved us time! 5 minutes from Checkpoint Charlie so easy to find and explore from, either by walking, tourist bus or tube. Near the Turkish Quarter. Look for the Italian restaurant around the corner for super service and cheap meals. Courteous and friendly staff, could not fault the bedrooms. Breakfast seemed expensive but proved to be investment as we didn't need […] to eat anything else all day, stunning array of dishes both hot and cold and friendly staff again. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful, the room and bathroom were spotless and comfortable, it was quiet, ideally located and very reasonably priced.

I will start by saying that we had minor issues with the front desk staff (who are also the bartenders). My friend had a drink, I came later, they guy told me he would be with me in a minute but completely ignored me. I had to go ask the other attendant to help and she was somewhat rude as well. There is nothing to […] see in the immediate area around the hotel (it's kind of in a residential area) but it's walking distance to Checkpoint Charlie and you can reasonably walk to Brandenburg gate in about 20-25 minutes. The hotel is a 2 miinute walk from the U6 subway and a 5 minute walk from M29 which takes you directly to shopping on the Kudam. The hotel is nice, no frills, just nice and a good value. If you get the standard room, check in early because the rooms very in size. I had a decent sized room and my traveling companion was practically in a closet. Brilliant hotel located right in the centre of Berlin, not even five minutes from checkpoint charlie. Servicce was excellent, the hotel is outstandingly clean and very quiet, which was perfect. Didn't have breakfast as it was a bit procey compared to local cafes but im sure the food would have been excellent too. couldn't rate it higher

Fantastic location for walking: only 600yds from Checkpoint Charlie, Gestapo HQ and the shops on Friedrickstrasse, 300yds from the Jewish Museum, 20 mins walk from the Brandenburg where you can join bus and walking tours (would highly recommend the Free Walking Tour!), Museum Island and the shops on Unter den […] Linden. We had a lovely time in Berlin which started with the excellent reception we received at Winter's Hotel Berlin Mitte am Checkpoint Charlie. The receptionist was excellent in helping us with some plans for the next couple of days to ensure that we got the most out of our holiday. The room was a nice size and had double-glazed windows. Good hotel and staff, very clean ... only draw back is no AC

My trip was a business trip, so unfortunately I didn't get enough time to chill out in Berlin. This hotel is great value & well located for travelling around Berlin on the underground. Pretty standard European hotel room, but nice and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful, and has maps to great things to do. It was about a 25 euro cab ride to Tegel airport, and that was really the only convenient way to get there, but it didn't take long. The hotel is close to all main attractions in Berlin and close to several S and U Bahn stations. It's easily reachable from Tegel airport. The hotel is in the safe neighborhood, very clean and the rooms are decent size for European standards. The TV in the room has only 1 channel in English (but you don't come to Berlin to watch TV!) and internet access […] is not cheap, but you can buy several hours of internet time that you can use during your stay.
