The hotel's close to the train station, various food and clubbing places at Chinatown. There's no problem with the renovation that's going on, nor hot water, as seen on some reviews. The hot water in our tub does run out, but we took 1 min to wait for new round of hot water for the bath.

I stayed here for the better part of a week during a conference and am so glad I selected this hotel. In fact, I'm so happy with my stay that I'm writing this review before checking out later today! I got the Goldfish Room, which was whimsical and beautiful. It has its own beautiful cast iron tub out on a private verandah. As others have noted, there […] are little creature comforts here like a Nespresso machine, complimentary water and juice, and a Bose sound station connected to an iPod dock. I didn't notice the comfy, plush bath robe on the shelf above the desk until a few days into my stay. Everyone who works here is incredibly friendly and helpful. After I arrived far too early for check-in due to a 6AM arrival from New York, they (1) hooked me up to Wifi via my laptop in the lobby right away so I could check up on the news from back home and then (2), when it was ready, actually let me use another room that had opened up so I didn't have to wait to freshen up until my room was available. That was greatly appreciated. The location is good, right by Outram Park station on the green and purple lines. There is some construction going on as of early March 2010 and that does mean you can't turn directly onto Bukit Pasoh Road from Eu Tong Sen Street, FYI. I can hear some drilling as I'm typing this but for me, the sound is not too bad. They have also provided ear plugs for guests to account for this. FYI to the foodies, this hotel is a short walk away from the Maxwell Road Food Centre where Tony Bourdain ate chicken rice on his No Reservations show. Just take Neil Road up to where Neil Road becomes New South Bridge Road and intersects with Maxwell Road. The fact that the hotel is located just 2 minutes away from Outram Park MRT made my stay in Singapore a lot easy and pleasant. The hotel also provided very good service. Our room was clean and well-equipped. Premier Garden Style rooms with` outdoor bathtubs are perfect for couples.

This hotel is close to Chinatown and a train station, so conveniently position in the new trendy part of Chinatown. the pool was small but nice. Breakfast was fine, but we had not idea of what we could order for a full english breakfast. They should provide a list of eggs, bacon, tomatoes etc. Also the staff offered a hotel taxi to take us to the […] station and advised that it would not cost any more than a normal taxi. Although the room was a little small and as at late Nov, the hotel is under same maintenance and there is construction nearby, but we only got back late in the evening and left early in the morning, so it was not a great concern for us. We don't enjoy it at all.

Ok so it definitely not new...it is getting a little tired and could do with some attention to detail...be aware of room 201 which is right on top of large air conditioning units (they actually supply ear plugs to help you sleep!) The staff were exceptionally polite and friendly but the amenities and facilities offered are not what is actually available. Because the hotel was overbooked we were upgraded to a supposedly better room (loft suite?) than we had booked (premier pool room) but I'm not sure a smaller room could have existed. The lower area had a small sitting area, toilet […] & shower while the bedroom was up a ladder. To enter the shower you had to go through the toilet . The bed was just a mattress on the floor of the loft and even at just 5'4" I couldn't stand under the sloping ceiling to get to the other side of the bed but had to crawl across the mattress. Breakfast was sparse compared to what we are used to having in Asian hotels. The location at the top end of Chinatown is fine and convenient to public transport. We'll look elsewhere next time! The hotel is very close to the metro station and to a few bars, restaurants and China town. We stayed in a premier pool room. The room could have been a bit bigger, but it was ok. The Boutique concept is quiet nice but I wouldn't recommend this hotel for a business man that looking for a comfortable room. In my room the bath was outside, the working table was nested in the corner and the toilet and shower separated by glace in the room. Could not fault it. Staff could not have been more attentive and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Wish we'd eaten our evening meal there as we only had time for a light lunch there the next day and it was good. The restaurant has won an award for 2011 Restaurant of the Year. Almost at the end of Chinatown, this boutique hotel is strongly recommended for couples or family to just lay back and take a break from their daily routine. Shops are available around the vicinity of the hotel and it is very convenient to move from a place to another and it is only 15mins away from the city via the train (Outram Park Station) which […] takes about 5mins by foot from the hotel. The aqua room fits couple perfectly. The atmosphere and the well being of the room is just right for spending quality time together. The open-concept outdoor swimming pool, although small, but sufficient for a good, relaxing swim. It faces the gym, which is perfect for those who likes working out after or before the swim. There are 30 rooms, each had been uniquely designed with different themes and called with quirky names. Although quite small, they are very creative. The service is friendly although they don't have big shot concierge that will point you to expensive restaurants. The bed is excellent and comfy, the pillows are nice and the sheets are fresh and crisp. […] The free comp breakfast is substantial and very good! You can order a fluffy omelette and capuccino. Good location close to Outram Park metro station. The rooms are imaginatively decorated and well appointed, with large, comfortable bed, modern plumbing and a quality coffee maker. Breakfasts were excellent, The pool is sparkling and the gym well equipped. Front desk staff were very obliging.

I would recommend this hotel to everyone. The staff were lovely and could not do enough for us. The bed was sooooo comfortable and the shower was amazing! The buffet breakfast was also delicious. Could not complain about anything.

Best Staff EVER. Uniformly Cheerful and Excellent Service. We Want to move in permanently to be close to our new family at the front desk. Great Rooms, Great Location, Great Breakfast included...

A truly fantastic hotel, loved every minute from check in to check out. The New Majestic has thought of everything to ensure a memorable stay!

J'ai passe un beau sejour. Les personnels sont tres sympa.

Hotel de qualité. Ménage fait matin et soir. Si vous rentrez la nuit, le personnel se charge de baisser les stores. Bon petit déjeuner. Métro a 200 mètres. Chinatown a 500 mètres.

Tycker att Hotel New Majestic som är ett 4-stjärnigt hotell borde ha ett bättre utbud av frukostbröd!! endast formbröd. verkligen dåligt, vilket jag påpekade! det drar ner mitt betyg en del. annars nöjd.

Rommet var fint, men lite profesjonelle ansatte og alt for høye priser trekker ned. I forhold til hva du får hos andre hoteller i Singapore er New Majestic Hotel totalt overpriced. Vi brukte to forskjellige hotell i Singapore, New Majestic Hotel og Fort Canning Hotel. Fort Canning Hotel utklasset New Majestic på alle punkter. Only the breakfast was average, everything else superior quality!

Lovely rooms with a great massaging shower and the softest bath robes. Very friendly service. Great breakfast. Within short walking distance from all the sights in Chinatown.

Das Hotel ist zentral angebunden, U-Bahnstation ist ca. 100 m neben dem Hotel. Die Architektur des Hotels und die Ausstattung ist modern und hat uns gut gefallen. Nicht gefallen hat uns das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Der Pool-Room neben der Gästetoilette mit Wand 1 m vor dem Fenster ist für den Preis zu klein. Sehr schön sind die Aqua-Rooms. the hotel is easy to find and it is really beautiful rooms are clean and confort. service are great facility is wonderful! especially I like the coffee machine and the bathroom! I definately will go there again if I go to Singapore!
