The hotel had 2 restaurants, The Palm and The Beach Restaurant. The Beach's menu was very limited, best 2 choices were hamburger and fish and chips. The Palm was closed most nights, except for the last night we were there. The food was good, but it was kind of pricey ($250 for 3 people). There was only one bar, which was at the front desk and it was […] a 10 min walk. We ate at the Beach for breakfast, but the food was the same every morning. The had 3 same fruits, eggs, bacon and bread. We soon became very tired of the food. We found it difficult to get around without a car. The hotel provided shuttle to a mall close by, but it only ran 3 times a day. We ended up shopping and cooking at our condo most of the time, which we would have preferred not to do on vacation. The resort also didn't provide many activities for its guests - dance lessons, movies, crafts. The activity sheet looked the same everyday. The plus side was the staff was very friendly and attentive. The beach was beautiful and the condo was very clean and well appointed. We enjoyed all the modern conveniences, privacy and cleanliness of our villa. The beach is really great for both swimming and walking. Pigeon Island is just a mile away where the views and cool breezes are delightful and made a nice day trip. Wifi was available in the Beach Club or in the reception area, but not in the room. Since two supermarkets were a quick shuttle ride down the street, we took advantage of our fully equipped kitchen to try our hand at French-Carribean cuisine after watching the sunset from the beach. An excellent hotel and resort, very attentive and friendly staff. Nothing is a problem. The resort (as I suspect many others do having read reviews) is limited as to where to eat (1-2 restaurants) and lacks a convenience store. However, the food was average to good (although expensive - again as pretty much every other hotel); and they did provide a […] free thrice daily shuttle to the local town mall. The room was fantastic, very modern and well appointed. Dishwasher, washing machine and drier. A proper home away from home. Very relaxing, by private beach or swimming pool. (When I say room, I mean apartment. We were upgraded to a two-bed with a hot-tub on the balcony.) Nearby pigeon island (walking distance) also worth a visit for the day. Heartily recommend this hotel. ---------- A note for gay travellers: I stayed here with my boyfriend. We were a little anxious having subsequently read reviews regarding the attitude of St Lucia towards gay couples. We shouldn't have worried. Whilst there were no PDAs, it would have been clear that we were together, but the staff did not treat us any differently (nor should they, but having read other reviews of the island (not the hotel) we were not sure what the reception would be.) Breath taking views with amazingly friendly staff politely greeting and catering to your every need. Room 103 was convenient to beach, pool ,and bar. All less than 5 steps away. Hotel rooms were amazing with great decor and size. Loved the small beach as we got to make many friends. We had the best private taxi driver available Owin...blah,blah,blah,blah..can't […] miss his one of four dodges on the whole island. We even participated in a photo shoot for the site. Btw how do we get to see those pics? Loved it, can't wait to come back soon. This was my first time in St. Lucia and The Landings was a fantastic hotel. I was blown away by the hotel, the staff and the facilities. I highly recommend it for couples & families.

Great place for a family getaway. We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa with an ocean view-- awesome view & easy access to the beach. The staff were all very friendly and eager to make sure our stay was hassle- free. The grounds were exceptionally clean & well cared for. The workout room is nicely equipped. The full kitchen was great when we wanted to dine […] in. The resort restaurants and their staff were great. The complimentary shuttles daily to Rodney Bay were useful. The deep sea fishing through the resort was way overpriced for the quality of the trip. Lots to see & do on the island--would highly recommend zip lining/tranopy and the Segway tour in Rodney Bay. We very much enjoyed the Landings. We were upgraded to a two bedroom room which was very nice. The staff were very good and some exceptional to all our needs and we would book there again. Two adults and two young children travelling. We were expecting a nice hotel, but this turned out to be outstanding and very good value. Very nice to deal with over email even after the Expedia booking, especially the concierge who also helped arrange helicopter and car rental in advance. Huge wow factor when you arrive at the impressive lobby, great […] welcome, quick check-in, amazing 'room' (double bedroom) which was really an apartment, with en-suite large bathrooms and third bathroom, three TVs, large lounge / dining room / kitchen space, full Miele appliances (including washing machine and dryer), two large verandas front and rear, private hot tub outside which was the greatest source of fun ever for the boys, amazing view of one of St Lucia's best beach right outside. Great and prompt service everywhere, excellent food selection and quality, very nice staff - especially the super friendly concierge. Finally a very quick check-out with no messing about and hidden charges. Finally, location - Rodney Bay with supermarkets, large choice of restaurants etc is just 5 mins by car or with the free shuttle, and Pigeon Island national park is just 5 mins away in the other direction. This place is great for people who appreciate luxurious rooms, beautiful beaches, and a laid back, non intrusive atmosphere. The staff is extremely accommodating but this is not an all inclusive type atmosphere where waiters are on the beach offering drinks etc. It is more of a high end condo style vacation experience. We enjoyed our excursions such as visiting a plantation and botanical gardens, the volcano and taking a katamaran to view the Pitons. We also appreciated the activities offered at the resort for no extra costs such as sailing, kayaks, live music, a shuttle to the nearby town and snorkeling. My only complaint about the fantastic experience was the repetitive nature of the restaurants menu. They serve the same meals for lunch and dinner and the menu was the same for our entire stay, even the room service menu was the same. Soemthing a touch soulless about it though and some of the service in the beachside restaurant was not quite up to the standard you would expect from a hotel in this cost and quality bracket. Some building work going on a sthey extend the hotel by building new apartment blocks. No noise or dust issue but the building site detracts a bit from the atmosphere. The Landings as a place to vacation is very nice. A 1.5 hour taxy ride to and from the resort is a bit long. Our elevator was broken for 3 days even though the front desk claimed each day it would be fixed. For an theoretical 5 star resort the service was slow and food OK but not close to Four Season or Ritz Carlton quality.

The units are very spacious with a well appointed kitchen and comfortable beds. It was easy to sit out on the outdoor patio/veranda and relax. The A/C worked extremely well. We were in a room with a Harbor view, patio with jacuzzi, The overall hotel is beautiful and continuing to expand , grounds were well cared for and maintained, rooms were very spacious, comfortable, and kitchen was well stocked with sufficient utensils, dishes, glasses,and modern appliances.
