Clean rooms.Good location.Waterpark in the hotel is excellent for kids.

We loved our room and the waterpark at the canad inn. Facility has many restaurant options and we ate in all but 1 and found the food to overpriced and not very good. So, it was almost ideal, but not quite.

Only problem was we found out on Friday that the water park wasn't open on Friday till four (after check out time) had we been informed about that we could have used the the water park the day we arrived.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, and will continue to stay there, but everything in the hotel ( bars and restaurants) seem to get slower in service everytime I go there. With a gorup of 8 at the L'Bistro, and a round of drinks took about 15 minutes to get, and the place was not that busy. Our room was nice and it was clean. The alarm clock and the lamp did not work but overall everything else was in good repair. The location is wonderful if you want to attend events at the Allerus Center. The only thing was the restaurants in the complex all closed at, around or before 10:00. We arrived there late Thursday after our flight from Phoenix - went to get pizza and they closed 1/2 hour early due to lack of customers. Contacted the front desk who gave us a voucher to get supper elsewhere in the hotel - very commendable as we were so tired and hungry so we at least got a meal without having to go downtown. The Inn is well located in proximity to the Unversity. Only about a 7 minute or less drive. Great hotel for families with young children with their own attached mini water park. Kids seemed to really enjoy it. If you are on straight business I might choose another area hotel if you did not want to be surrounded by young children. Room well laid out, […] but the so called LCD TVs are not HD -- nit uncommon with most hotels. Really need to go the extra mile and make them fully HD. Pillows were like sleeping on logs. One reason we decided to stay here was because of the "water park". Its not the greatest. I probably would have rather saved the extra money on a cheaper hotel and paid to go to the park... if we even went. The pictures definitely make it seem much larger. The staff at the hotel were all pretty great except in the water park. We stayed several days […] and because you dont have to be staying in the hotel to go to the park it was very crowded. And both days we went there werent any towels!! I also like that the hotel is non smoking, however, there is no fan in the bathroom, I like to clear the steam after I shower, not possible here. Also the windows don't open, the room got rather stuffy, absolutely no airflow. These are the only things that bothered me, the hotel is very nice though, a little pricey though. I found pubic and head hair on my comforter and in my sheets. There was also hair in the shower and on the toilet seat when I checked in. An extension cord was just hanging off of the boudoir with the clothes iron.

As a family we have stayed at this hotel several times in the past. We have drifted away a couple of times when the hotel rates were unreasonbly high compared to other choice locations. The big draw for us is the ample parking, on site food services and the water park for our two children. The two rooms were booked through a third party site which provided […] an excellent room rate. We like the fact it is somewhat isolated as it means quiet when we want it but still allows us to easily drive to all the major shopping and restaurant locations. In the past we have noted a drop in the safety standards in the water park. Young life guards sitting around reading books while young children ran around unsupervised and older kids ran up and down the stairs forcing smaller kids to be pushed aside or bumped out of line ups. I have complained to waterpark and hotel management a couple times in the past about these issues and it appears, for this trip anyway that the complaints are being dealt with. The lifeguards that I observed on this trip were constantly patrolling and one young lady specifically did not hesitate to approach customers of all ages when she noted unsave behaviour. As the water park is the beg draw for this hotel, safety is a major concern as is cleanleness. High marks for both on this trip. Διαβάστε περισσότερα

This is the second time we have stayed at the Canad Inns in Grand Forks and have never been disappointed. The entire facility caters to it's guests with friendly faces and attitude. We know this chain of hotel because we are from Winnipeg and know the hard work that goes into all their operations. Leo has a great reputation and he has managed to instill […] that with those who work for him. The hospitality industry is a very key industry in Grand Forks and no matter where we went, everyone was genuinely friendly and extremely courteous in our dealings. Great Job Leo and Company. Room was nice. Not enough exhaust in the restroom and air conditioning unit was not working well. Stayed at location because of event at Alerus Center, otherwise would of not stayed at hotel.

The elevator service at this hotel is extremely slow, wait times in excess of 20 minutes at busy peak preiods. That is why I rated the overall service as #3. Other than the elevator service, everything else was very good.
