A relaxing place with a character (as a former monastery), certainly far superior to the numerous other Sorrento hotels, apartment block like, of the same tourist category. Helpful personnel, ample common areas, fair breakfast, splendid surroundings, neat details, clean overall with modernized utilities. On the downside: bed-sheets have not been changed for five nights, rather poor room service (bed roughly laid), some problems with the common bathroom. Generally, I would not recommend rooms with a shared bathroom to future customers, especially during peak seasons.

Hotel Correra was a very pleasant surprise during our short stay in the chaotic, dirty but at the same time charming city of Naples! The location was perfect in order to see the main sites of the city. Our room was very clean and comfortable, the staff was very kind and helpful and the breakfast was good enough. We definately recommend hotel Correra for every visitor of Naples.

This small town is wonderfully located over white steep cliffs and offers a fantastic view over the Bay of Naples. Typical products from Sorrento are produced with these Limoni: Limoncello, a very tasty lemon liqueur, lemon chocolate, colorful ceramic articles with lemon motives, or lemon soap. Or, try more than 70 different ice cream flavors at Gelateria Bougainvillea.

This is a very outdated hotel with a lot of mildew and in desperate need of a facelift. Tha personelle at the front desk were alright and fine at the resto and bar. A hard walk to town or a bus close by. If you are not looking for a little luxery then it is fine for a short time.
"Clean hotel with a quieter location at the harbour"
Very clean hotel. It's better than it looks in the picture. Very quiet & relaxing location. However, it is not too near the town centre. It will take about 15 minutes' walk uphill or 5 minutes by bus if you go to town. Overall, a very good valued hotel.
I would recommend, depending on the requirement of the persons, Front desk staff not very helpful or pleasant.
Really nice view of the Mediterrian. Several restaurants close by. A little isolated to get to other spots.

"A Nice Little Place"
We stayed at the Admiral for 2 nights and had a thoroughly nice time. It's in a lovely location in the old port. It's not fancy and if you're a picky person its not for you. However the deck over the sea is very nice. It's an energetic walk up the hill to the town so not suitable for people with low mobility unless you take the bus.

The hotel is in a beautiful location. Right on the sea and close walking distance to restaurants (try Emily's for the best food and ambiance). Town Center or main Bus Depot is a public bus ride away and the bus comes frequently. Diverse hotel guests from around the globe. Pay the extra for the seaside view - it is worth it! Hotel breakfast is decent […] and the wait staff is friendly, effcient and kind. Only drawback is the carpets need cleaning and the room furnishings are sparse (no pictures or other features to make it more homey). Otherwise the room and bathroom were very clean and well maintained. Make sure you meet Joe when you go .. he knows everything about the region, has lived in th US so he understands Americans and he is very, very sweet and attentive. Joe - go home and get some rest! "Hotel Admiral - exceptional"
We stayed in 3 different hotels while we visited Italy and Hotel Admiral was hands down my favorite. We stayed in the Admiral for the first 3 nights and I knew when we left it would be hard for the other hotels to compare to this one. The view was absolutely wonderful. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was the best I've had in a hotel. […] We had to walk about a half mile to get to the main part of Sorrento but I didn't mind the walk because the view was awesome. "Work in progress!"
Firstly the Hotel is in a fabulous location on the sea front in Sorrento. We loved the Hotel and would stay again but hopefully when it was not being worked on. On arriving there was a work man in the hall working on a passage way door, so no chance of a rest. We opened the door to the balcony and found the pool, which was not available was also being […] worked on which spoilt the view and the noise was awful! We complained and were given an upgrade and a free meal but to be fair it spoilt our stay as the jack hammering went through the whole Hotel and gave us headache for the three days we were there. The Hotel never even Emailed to say there was on going work, had they done so we would not have stayed. Nice hotel - reasonably priced - views amazing from the room (book a sea view). Only downside is location as marina is a bit of a treck up to the centre of Sorrento.

We had traveled from Calif to Serrento, flight was long but as we got to our hotel Admiral, everything was ready did not take long to check in and start our vacation. Was a great hotel in every way......lets start with breakfast..........frickin amazing loved everything about it never left hungry...thats important to me. Location! location! location! "Great place.,...hard to find...but wonderful!"
We loved Hotel Admiral...the staff was nice, and the view was spectacular. It is outside of the main part of Sorrento, but only a 10 minute walk. It was quieter and more small town feeling, it sits at the base of a huge rock wall. The A/c worked, the room was bigger than expected, the place was clean and comfortable. Dont try to walk to the hotel from […] the train station with luggage...as the map is actually the longer way to get there...take a Taxi--about 18 euros. Once you are there...its a short walk to the town...as you will now understand the map. Each room had a terrace to sit and view the incredible Bay of Naples....Mt Vesuvius across the bay....The small harbor, although called Marina Grande, is tiny and sits right there where the fishermen go in and out to get the amazing food the town is famous for. "Best Location in Sorrento"
We stayed in Hotel Admiral for a week 11-18 July 2010 and were very pleased with it. Staff were all extremely helpful and willing to help us book trips, find places we wished to visit and help with any queries we had. The hotel is extremely clean, the room we stayed in was simple and spacious and we payed for a sea view room which is well worth it! […] The only things missing were a fridge and a safe box but we couldn't complain as everything else was perfect. You can ask the reception to take care of items if you do not want to leave them in the room. The location of the hotel was the best you would get in Sorrento. Being On Marina Grande, you feel as though the hotel is a boat, it is literally on top of the sea. Right next to the hotel is a row of lovely restaurants, shops and houses. This was great as we could stay near the hotel for dinner some nights when we were too tired to go to Piazza Tasso (the main square) after trips to Pompei or Capri. There is a bus stop about 2 minutes away from the hotel which has frequent buses to Piazza Tasso and buses back which finish at 11.20. Overall I loved my stay in this hotel and give it a rating of 5. The Hotel Admiral was a nice place for us to stay while in Sorrento. Located at the lower part of the city and right by the water made for a little bit of an up hill walk to the rest of town and the bus or train station, but we think it was worth it if you want to be right next to the water. We had thought about getting the higher priced room that looked […] out on the Tyrrhenian Sea, but opted to save a little cash and get the lower price room. We thought we would be looking at the rock wall behind the hotel and we surprised with a very nice view of the sea, and had more money for some very nice dinners right on the beach, only minutes from the hotel. The breakfast that came with the room got old after the first day, and after day two we would go elsewhere for our morning coffee. I would recommend it to friends, and would stay there again. "Great Hotel-Difficult to find"
The only problem with this hotel is that there is no street to get there. We used GPS and end up in an aaley bwith no exit. You have to park a few block away and walk down with your luggage. The hotel itself its great, with a beautiful view.

We had a very long day of travelling and should have done ourselves a favor and hopped in a 10-15 euros cab ride from the train station. But, no, we wandered on foot with our luggage and there is some tricky route to get here for my American mind; one way in by road, one way in by foot, but at least we knew it was at the end of the GRAND MARINA (not […] the Piccola marina), so at least we headed in the right direction. When we finally arrived a bit weary, we found our room was lovely! Top floor with a balcony overlooking the marina from our corner vantage was at once secluded and part of the night's happening. The tile floor was neato with sea creatures decorating the tiles and CHAMPAGNE was waiting for us!!! Which was exactly what we needed and a really nice surprise. The staff was friendly enough. We never had time to make it to the pool or restaurant. We ate across the marina at Da Emilia's and at the Dolphine next door. Both offered nice big plates of clams and mussels within a stone's throw of the hotel. The elevator was slow and we had a tough time using the phone at first, but those a tiny complaints. "Das Hotel liegt ruhig am Ende des alten Hafens"
Ideal war, dass wir weg vom Trubel der Stadt waren, jedoch zu Fuß auch schnell überall hingehen konnten. Leider fanden wir unsere Begrüßungsdame an der Rezeption nicht entgegenkommend, als wir ein Zimmer in einem oberen Stock haben wollten. Es sei alles ausgebucht, obwohl viele Zimmer frei waren. "fantastisk beliggenhed og udsigt"
ligger tæt på Marina Grande med skøn udsigt over marinaen, vandet og Vesuv. Glimrende morgenbuffet og hyggeligt dæk med pool og bar.

Hvis man er til smarte dyre hoteller og skal opholde sig meget på hotellet og sit værelse er det måske ikke det rette. Men hvis du vil have et hotel der ligger dejligt og roligt, og som mest skal bruges til overnatning lidt afslapning og eller bare som udgangspunkt til at se og opleve byen samt øerne omkring synes jeg det er perfekt. "Härligt läge vid havet!"
Ett bra medelklasshotell med härligt läge vid havet och Marina Grande. Vi beställde rum med balkong och havsutsikt och fick rum 108 med terass. Undvik detta rum då terassen ligger längst in i en hörna, med en terass på sidan och en framför!! No privace what so ever! Vi klagade och managern ordnade så vi fick byta dagen efter till ett annat fint rum […] med balkong, snyggt skött! Bra priser i baren på dryck och lunch, maten helt ok. Frukosten ingen sensation, men helt ok, gott kaffe. Flera restauranger i Marina Grande, gör det lätt att gå ut och äta. Personalen vänlig och hjälpsam även om det ibland saknas lite språkkunskaper. Rummen fräscha och städningen riktigt bra. Kan vara lite lyhört ibland, men det är inget problem som stör. Tyst aomgivningar med havet och det charmiga Marina Grande känns bra när man vill gå ner i varv. För att komma till Sorrentos centrum kan man åka buss (2 euro) eller gå branta trappor upp mellan gamla hus. Det är helt ok om man är fullt frisk,i annat fall kan det nog vara lite jobbigt. Gästerna består mest av medelålders engelska par. Det är därför lungt ochg stilla på hotellet! Tycker dock att hotellets läge tillsammans med ovan nämnda faktorer gör det värt att ta en liten promenad till och från Sorrento C. Vi var definitivt nöjda med vår vistelse. Διαβάστε περισσότερα
