There is not much around the hotel, though plenty of convenience stores, and a cab into central is very cheap. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The beds are very firm, so if you prefer a softer mattress, perhaps check first if an overlay is available. As a flight attendant I stay in many hotels, and this was one of the cleanest I have stayed in. The room doesn't have a bottle opener, so if you bring any drinks back, check their lids or buy a bottle opener. Overall, a pleasant experience. We stayed there with our children for one week. We had an adjoining room to our children's. We found the rooms to be clean. Although the pillows were too soft for us. We did not have to wait too long for lifts as there was no tour groups staying at the time. The hotel is located in the Western district so a tram ride is required to get to Central. […] The hotel does offer hourly shuttle bus service to Central and beyond . There are many chain restaurants nearby for examples, McDonalds, KFC, Fairwood and Yoshinoya. There are many excellent noodle and congee eateries nearby as well. When in doubt, just see if many people are dining before going in. There are many convenient stores nearby for examples Seven Eleven, Parkson, Watson and Wellcome. There is a large shopping center called Westwood further west by one block on a street called South Lane which runs parallel to the the Queen Road West where the hotel located. There is a pool and a gym at the roof. There is an attendant at the gym. The executive is also located on the same level. Business hotel with the usual amenities but far away from MTR station, taxi drivers may not want to take you there and drivers from Kowloon side may not know where it is at all.

Traders is a good value and quality hotel for business travellers. No frills but spacious and clean. Location is away from tourists attractions. Close enough to Central and a quick ride to Airport Express Station.

Although the hotel isn't as close to Central as I would have liked...it is close enough via taxi or the tram which is right around the corner. The rooms are bigger than your average Hong Kong hotel at this price.

The hotel was excellent. Being owned by Shangri-La shows everywhere. The only issue is that it's not close to any MTR station but a short ride on the "ding-ding" (trolley) will take you to a near station. I would come back here anytime.

Traders is a good brand operated by Shangri-La. Stayed at their KL hotel last year. The HK Traders is a less grand affair than KL, located in the Western District of HK Island which is currently off-MTR (this will change in the future as MTR extension currently being built). This has meant we used the local buses and trams a lot to get to and from the […] hotel, in addition to using the hotel's scheduled shuttle bus service to get to Hong Kong Station/Central. The HK public transport system is one of the best in the world and there are mobile apps available for finding bus routes etc (we hired a smartphone with 3G for our stay). Moreover, fares are low comparing to, say, the UK. The A10 bus from the airport took us directly to within 100 meters of the hotel's front door for $46 (less than £5) (NB get an Octopus Card to ensure lowest fares - it is a stored value payment card just like the Oyster Card in London) A tram ride to Central from Des Voeux Road West costs $2 (less than 20p). The location is interesting for those who wants to see what everyday life is like for HK locals. Lots of little shops, bakeries, supermarkets and local eat places (handy for breakfast). Prices are local i.e. not inflated for tourists. The hotel is spotless, well run and very comfortable. The rooms can be a bit small but this is HK, where land/space are at an absolute premium! Although a bit out-of-the-way, is a very nice, moderately-priced, clean, modern hotel with extremely friendly and accommodating staff (sometimes hard to come by in HK). Close access to MTR/Central/Airport Express line. Not too much immediately surrounding hotel, but plenty close to Causeway Bay and HK Island nightlife.

The Hotel room and staff were both excellent. The front desk manager and her staff were pleasant and helpful whilst the reservation desk staff was just excellent in helping me resolve and issue. Overall, great hotel and pleasant and quieter (in a nice way) part of Hong Kong. Will go back next time hopefully with an ocean view!

VERY hard to find taxi in the morning. The hotel is too far from the subway station and it was too challenging to figure out transportation in the morning when we were rushing to a meeting. Having booked and paid for our stay some months in advance we were somewhat surprised that the only room available was designated as a 'disabled' room with with attendant 'extras' ie low bath and wash basin. We arrived on the Friday and the hotel didn't have a normal room until the Sunday.by which time we were settled and didn't want the disruption […] of a move. Pro: well maintain building (formerly Jen Hotel),going to have MTR soon, friendly services. Con:Not that convenient yet (till MTR is done) unless you know how to get on 5B and 10 from Citibus. Not much to see around the Hotel.

I like this hotel. I stay here everytime I go to Hong Kong. It has changed names 3 times as far as I know. It is very convenient for me. It is by my wife's family and some of mine as well. The staff was very polite.

It is a 2* hotel combined with some floors of 4* that I haven't seen. As well I asked for a queen bed non smoking 4* and I got a twin in a smoked stinking room...with less space that in the space shuttle Expensive breakfast..... 18 Pounds for an omelet an a yogurt carpets on the corridors from the 70's ...bad luck that that 70's show does not air anymore […] , it could be a good filming place At least they have a shuttle to and from the main places. We really enjoyed our stay at this clean,pleasant hotel. The local area was fascinating, and we enjoyed our ride into Central and Kowloon each day on the tram. Try using the local, and very cheap, public transport rather than the hotel shuttle bus.

Perhaps not as nice as some of the Traders hotels elsewhere, the rooms are on the small side but well appointed. Bathrooms are a little more dated and presumably have not been refitted since this was the Jen Hotel.

rooms were clean, the gym was nice and looks out to the city with a nice view. It's easy to find local food all around ... for the unadventurous, there is a KFC down the road and Mc Donalds just opposite the hotel. Lots of bakeries nearby so u definitely can't starve! Supermarkets are nearby to buy mineral water and other snacks .. and just a short […] walk away to the parallel street is the tram stop where u can easily hop on to get a ride to the nearest MTR station (Sheung Wan). Although we were new to HK and the surrounding area wasn't the most upmarket the hotel was neat, tidy, crisp and new and suited all our needs. We will return again and am even considering it for a block visit when I relocate there but will need to upgrade to their club level to enjoy more facilities and spacious room.

外気温が10度だったのに、冷房が入っていました。一日目はシャワーの温度が上がらず、ぬるいままでした。バスタブの有無を確認しなかった私が悪いのですが、寒い部屋、熱くならないシャワーで温まる方法が無く辛かったです。バスルームと寝室の間にスライド式のドアがありましたが、サイズが合っていないようでとても重くきしんでいました。腕力の無い人には開閉が難しいのでは？次回からはもう少し調べてからホテルを選ぼうと決意しました。

トラムのどの駅から降りたらいいのか場所がいまいち分からなかった。 実際には意外と近いのでホテルのＨＰにもトラムからのアクセスを載せてほしいです。 フロントではネットとプリンタが使えます。部屋と部屋の間に≪鍵のかかったドア≫があり、隣室にも宿泊客がいたようで早朝出発のため５時起きで準備していたら、隣の部屋から子供の泣き声がきこえてきました。あと、夜に外でデモのような声が聞こえてきたので、すぐには眠れなかった。でも清潔感があるので機会があれば泊まってもいいかなと思いました。

Zwar kleine aber praktische und sehr schön designte Zimmer. Gutes Frühstück - kostenloser Nachmittagssnack (sehr angenehm um nach einer Tagestour Kraft zu tanken und dann wieder loszuziehen. Die […] Lage ist ambivalent. Wer im Zentrum sein will, sollte nicht im Western District buchen. Un's hat es aber gefallen, zumal die Fahrt mit der Tram ein echtes Erlebnis ist (mit dem Taxi dauert es auch nur 10 Minuten). 部屋は広くはないが、清潔で機能的である。スタッフの対応もテキパキしていた。 MTR上環、港澳碼頭からTaxiで約10分と中心部からは外れているが、 歩いて数分の場所にトラムやバス停があり、香港島内の移動には不便しなかった。 また、海洋公園にも出掛けたがTaxiでHKD80程度、30分と掛からなかった。 近くには茶餐廳や粥屋が沢山あり、安くてそれなりに美味しい。 また、ウェルカム（恵康）とパークンショップ（百佳）もあるので飲み物や軽食類も安く買える。 セブンイレブンやマック、吉野家もあるし、廣東語できなくてもとりあえずは困らない。 正直初心者には勧め難いが、香港に土地勘がある人や旅慣れた人にオススメ。

ハーバー側の15階に10泊。部屋は綺麗で明るく、バスタブもあり、一人であれば広さも十分でした。机はやや小さめですが、機能的には問題はなく、インターネットが有線、無線とも無料なののでフルに活用できました。また、最上階に小さなジムがあり、息抜きには良いです。場所は、中心部からやや離れていますが、シャトルバスがIFC、アドミラリティ方面に出ているので、仕事には不便はありませんでした。周辺は地元の商店街で、食事も困りません。滞在中に感じた問題は、フロント（一部の女性スタッフ)の態度が非常に悪いことと、団体客が入っていると騒がしいことでしたが、全体的には香港のホテルの中では良いホテルです。
