Quality Inn Charlottesville - Charlottesville

I stqayed for two nights. The hotel was reasonably priced. The room was clean and looked fairly new in updates. Granite sink, clean tub, T. V., Frig and microwave. The picture quality on the T. V. was very poor. It did not bother me too much because we stayed busy. the continental breakfast was pretty good as well. the outside of the rooms could have […] been nicer. The wallks were thin and there was a lot of noise between rooms. I am not sure it was the best neighborhood but it was within a mile of several restaurants and malls. I would stay there again. Should be the your only choice if nothing else is available. Checked in and I was given keys to a room already occupied! Then clerk acted like they didn't believe me but gave me another room. Not a good start for the night! The hotel is an older motor lodge style hotel. Looked liked they had tried to remodel and update it recently on the cheap. Appears […] to cater to construction contractors needing lodging weekly. We were there one night for a softball tournament. The bathtub was dirty and in rough shape. The entire room could have been wiped off better. The HVAC was an old unit with wires hanging out from under it onto the floor. However it did work. The bed was actually comfortable. Got to stay here for a couple night this weekend and enjoy the stank of stale smoke. Also there was the convenience of stale cheese fries and half drunk gatorade in the fridge.

Where do I start. Two times the price of my normal Charlottesville hotel room. Last room within 40 miles of Charlottesville I could find. Next time I will be sure to book my hotel when I book the flight. I could not even take a shower in the bathroom. Please sell out to La Quinta.

Dreadful stay: non-smoking room stank of smoke, security devices on door broken, shower leaked, elevator to third floor room broken, other guests loud and scary. These were the last two rooms in town or I'd have left!

Accomadation was way overpriced. First room assigned was "Musty" and damp.. Breakfast room was populated with hotel workers from Quality Inn and adjoining Comfort Inn competeing for breakfast items and use of the microwave oven. No vending machines available in the hotel. Like thousands of others, we went to Charlottesville for our daughter's graduation. Not many options available so we went with this hotel. It was in bad repair, filthy, and generally poorly maintained. The elevator didn't work, we ran out of hot water at 7 AM, and the internet service didn't work. I lived in Carlottesville for 4 years so I understand […] there is a different standard in a central Virginia town. Having said that, there is no excuse for maintaining property in this condition. There were dead mice in a second floor walkway for our entire stay. Clearly there is no pride in the management or desire to even clean the place. A couple of tips is you're desperate enough to stay here. Shower before 6AM to be sure you have hot water, leave your shoes on to be sure you don't ruin socks with the filthy carpeting, and generally lower your exectations. Διαβάστε περισσότερα

This hotel was fine for what it offers in every respect but one. The room we were assigned during a "full" weekend in the area reeked of cigarette smoke, even though it was a "non-smoking" room. The hotel needs to do a major cleanup job on such rooms and the areas outside that also were intolerable to non-smokes.

Quality Inn - Charlottesville, VA Very Disappointed. We booked this hotel it was because they had non-smoking king size bedroom available. When we checked in at mid-night. They said they did not have non-smoking king size bedroom available. they said they never guaranteed it. We could only got double bedroom. The bathroom was filthy dirty. There had […] several stain (big one) on the toilet seat and toilet bowl. All 3 pillows in the room were without pillow cover/case. I left my jacket in the room when I checked out. Really bad. See above. Also the frig didn't work. The bathroom toilet paper holder came out of the wall every time you tried to get paper from it. There were rodents on the stairs outside my room.

Horrible motel. Do not stay here!

For the price we paid for the hotel room, the quality was acceptable. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful. The hotel does not have an elevator, so carrying luggage to our third-room floor was inconvenient.

My wife and I attend a UVA football game once or twice a year. As you'll find, hotel prices around C-Ville can be as much as double on weekends when there is a home game. Given the high prices at many locations, our group often chooses to stay here, where its much more afforadable. Its a far cry from the Omni or many other higher end hotels in the area. […] However, the staff is very friendly, the room is always clean, and if you simply need a place to crash for a night, its a great option. We received the keys for our room and proceeded to the only elevator. It was out of order. No elevator in the main building. Unlocking our room we found it still occupied with clothing. We ran into the occupants who hadn't left yet. Evidently, the maids said they cleaned the room and didn't. Three other rooms on the floor were still occupied and shouldn't […] have been. The room smelled like a lockerroom. The occupants were upset that we could get in their room. No other rooms were available. They wanted us to wait until they cleaned this room. This was after 6pm. Quality Inn is connected to the Days Inn. We agreed take a room there. Mistake. The first room smelled like cat urine and cigarettes.We purchased a nonsmoking room. We called down for air freshener. The attendant that brought it made a face like he smelled something as soon as he walked in the room then said this room looks like a prison. I will try to get you in another room. He did. The other room at least had a big window but the bathroom had fixtures taped with DUCT TAPE, a hook was pulled off the wall, the bathroom was dirty, and the room smelled like smoke. Both hotels felt like a "no tell motel". If not for the help of Hotels.com we would have been stuck at this hotel or had to leave without a refund. After being on the phone for quite a while with Hotels.com we finally got our hotel room exchanged for one at the Red roof inn plus compensation. Both hotels should have no stars. Scary. While the staff at this hotel was very nice, there were absolutely no other positives. We had requested a non-smoking room with a king-sized bed, we were given the exact opposite. The room reeked of cigarette smoke and there were burn holes in the comforters. The bath tub faucet was leaking and the tub was filled with water. Someone did come by to fix […] it, but it was absolutely disgusting to walk in on. The light switch didn't work, nor did one of the lamps. The hotel is in a less than desirable neighborhood, and it looked as though the door had been tampered with. There was also a group of intimidating looking men hanging out in the parking lot outside of our door. Needless to say, we did not end up staying here and found a last minute hotel room elsewhere. Not luxury but good for what I needed it for. You get what you pay for. Close to UVA campus and Barracks Road Shopping center. Would probably stay there again if there was nothing available within walking distance to the corner and the price was right.

Bed was very comfortable and the air conditioner worked great. The bathroom needs upgraded and the sink stopper would not stay up to drain the water. I am still trying to get a credit on my card because they charged my credit card even though I paid Hotels.com. There were four big dumpsters in the parking lot which took up parking spaces.
