Nice room with good facilities. Comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast. Staff very welcoming. Every time we went outside, there was an amazing smell of chocolate..lovely!!!

The hotel is pretty new, lovely reception, very modern.The staff are good, all the requests I asked were granted. The rooms are spacious which is why I don't understand the small double bed instead of a king size bed. The mattress was very soft, which means when 2 people share the bed, you both end up in the middle of the bed; which is fine on some […] occasion, but at 37 weeks pregnant with my pregnancy pillow, it was awful. The bathroom is great, small but sufficient and a really good power ful shower. The breakfast was lovely, everything you need: continental and full english; very good warm croissant and pain au chocolat! overall a nice hotel but if you want a good night sleep, book a twin room. The Express by Holiday Inn was a convenient hotel for our stay. We required a sleep over on the way back from London to Manchester and the hotel ticked the boxes. Right next to the motorway junction, clean, comfortable and the hotel staff were also extremely helpful.

Cannot fault the hotel for value for money. Friendly and helpfull staff. Very clean. Excellent included breakfast. Convenient location to town centre. Couple of restaurents on same complex, should you need them.

This hotel was perfect for our needs. We wanted a place close to a main road and inexpensive for our 5 night stay seeing sights and visiting our son. The included buffet breakfast was simple but filling. Internet was not wireless but there was an ethernet cable in each room to connect to your computer and it was also included in the price.

A nice little hotel about 1 mile from Banbury town center. It was just what you'd expect from a Holiday Inn Express, solid but nothing special. As I was largely not in the hotel most of the time it met my needs perfectly by providing a clean, comfortable room, a good Internet connection, and a free breakfast. Solid.

Everything was fine apart from the fact that we'd booked it as a dog friendly hotel and we were on the second floor! I'm not sure how it can call itself dog friendly apart from the fact that they allow dogs there (for £10 per night). I had to get up, get dressed and go through the foyer at 6 so I could take our dog out for his early morning wee !

I was very impressed with the spaciousness within the hotel including the reception area, eating area, lounge area, stairway and corridors - all was large. This is the best hi express I have stayed in and would recommend. It is a great bonus having a Toby Inn and a Franky and Benny on the complex area. Message to all hotels - it is off putting having […] to 'wade' through people smoking directly outside of the main front hotel entrances. My room in this hotel directly above the entrance, if the window was opened, was letting in cigarette smoke. The door to the room needs attention, was not closing properly/securely. The hotel was well situated and very nicely presented. The help and assistance from the two staff at check in (Mark and Karolina?) was excellent. Friendly, helpfull and went out of their way to ensure a very warm welcome and 'a nothing too much trouble' attitude. Thank you!

Hotel was clean and spacious, the rooms where practical and well laid out. The staff where very helpful and welcoming. Really enjoyed the included breakfast too. Overall a nice clean well laid out hotel, perfect for an overnight stay for a family of 3.

have no problems satying here again, choice of eating venue with a Frankies & Benies or Toby carvery. Easy to find just off the M40 j11 and within about 30 mins drive of Blenheim Palace, Stowe Gardens and Silverstone Race circuit and of course lots of lovely Cotswold villages. Oxford is a little further afield. There is road noise so if you're someone who needs the window open bear it in mind, ask for a room on the front to the left of the entrance. […] There are two restaurant/pub chains adjacent so very convenient for a meal/drink, plus the hotel has a bar. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even with it being very busy over the Jubilee weekend, thank you to those willing to work when most of us were on hols. The breakfast area is not huge and they explained that as it was very busy we may have to eat breakfast in the conference rooms or could take it back to the rooms, which was fine if not ideal with a buffet style. The breakfast itself is fine, not full english, but good choice of cereal, yoghurts,fruit, egg, beans, sausage, but as with other Express's doesn't have bacon. They honoured my advance request for Soya milk. Did suffer a lack of large towels on the 2nd day as the linen company had failed in their duty but the hotel staff again tried everything to help out and we had all the area of towels we needed if not the size. The showers were excellent. The one thing that spoiled the stay were the noisy room doors, which, with other noisy residents coming in/out in the small hours combined to keep us awake. Nothing special here, but worked for us. It is very easy to get to right off the freeway! The front desk personel were all friendly and very helpful and check in was a breeze. The room was plenty big for our overnight stay with a small corner bathroom, great shower and small vanity, but it was clean. We appreciated the free hot cocoa after returning […] for the night from our walk in the rain for dinner! Breakfast the next morning was fresh and plentiful with a good variety. Don't know that I would choose this hotel for a week stay, but for overnight - perfect! One nice thing for me is that you could control the heat in the room - I like that! - and it worked! Bed mattress needed replacing - slightly sloped into the middle. Outside tables not cleared as quick as I would have anticipated although not that many staff so this could be a reason. I enjoyed my stay.

A nice comfortable hotel, situated conveniently near Banbury.One thing I must point out was the toilet flush on the big button (full flush) did not work at all and the small button (half flush) was so hard to press that even I had a job and I have very strong fingers.The other room which our friend occupied had a similar problem.The breakfast bar area […] was not laid out in a very logical way which meant you were crossing from one side to the other.I do hope this is positive feedback and is of help.Thank you for a very pleasant stay. Room was nice apart from only having one chair in the room and not two, despite having lots of empty space. No "safe" as not what was advertised. Breakfast was the high-light. Internet didnt work in the room (only told this when asking...works in bar area). Chambermaid dropped a showermat in the door opening, hence our room was open to all!!...also, […] no coffee/sugar/milk refilled and toilet floor not mopped out. I have written directly to Holiday Inn to tell of our experience so we shall see what they say. Staff need more training in customer care...you had to speak first like..good morning/afternoon..or else you were ignored. Generally not well maintained. Hand wash dispenser was not working and no-one knew how to fix it. Extractor fan worked intermittently.

We were happy with the hotel but had two heavy suitcases and the elevators were not working; the staff could have been far more proactive in order to help.

Very convenient location, approx 2 mins from M40 and very handy for town center, train station and retail parks. Staff were very friendly, polite and helpfull and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is fairly new but has been well maintained and is still nice and clean. I would stop here again without doubt.

The hotel is ideally sited for us, near the M40 junction we use to attend a near by festival. We set the tents up, stay the night at the hotel and can then go to the festival relaxed. We were away from the road and heard little road noise. The service in the hotel is excellent, check in was less than two minutes and staff are easily identifiable and […] always available and any request for service or information was dealt with efficiently. We ate dinner at a nearby carvery pub, so don't know the food quality or service in the day. The bar was limited with no real ale or draught guinness choice. However, the nearby carvery pub has a nice bar. Breakfast was self service buffet and limited in some ways with only sausages, beans and eggs for the hot choice. There were however plenty of cereals and continental options. The drinks machine was a bit hit and miss. The room was clean, tidy and well laid out. The bed however was one of the most uncomfortable ever, Soft, with mattress buttons digging in and the pair of us rolling into the middle. Clean room and restful surroundings. Scrumptious inclusive breakfast. The only suggestion for improvement is that lots of damp heads after showering had lain on our pillows (inc. ours) and a musty smell wafted from them. So freshly dried pillows would be appreciated.

The hotel itself was well presented, however the room was tiny, the TV remote did not work and the breakfast was awful.. I have stayed in much nicer hotels which have cost less than this.

This hotel is excellent, nicely furnished with good facilities and with excellent very obliging staff. Breakfast was basic but met our requirements. The only thing I would say is that the room we had smelt of smoke when we arrived and there were a couple of stains on the sofa bed.
