Stilhotel - Signa

Easy accessibility to train. Wonderful staff. Great breakfast. Grocery store and ATM outside of the hotel entrance. Fridays have a street market that is quite enjoyable.

The beds are a little hard; otherwise, it is perfect. We learned a hard lesson about the Italian trains. The ticket counter was closed; the automated ticket machine would not work, so we got on the train thinking we could pay on the train. Boy did we pay! 40 euros penalty per person. I intentionally chose this hotel becase it was located outside of Florence. It was a 15 minute walk to a train station, where we rode for 20 minutes and arrived in Florence. This allowed us to keep our car rental parked (for free!) outside the city. We LOVED our stay here. The staff was EXCELLENT! Our room was SPOTLESS. The neighborhood had a blue collar […] feel to it, which was fine, since we spent our time in Florence. It is not where you should stay if you want to be within the city of Florence. Hotel is clean and new, only catch is its tiny and has a motel type feel to it. Walls are thin - you can hear everything, beds are pretty hard. Nice staff but I can't say I'd recommend to a tourist. There isn't anything nearby, Florence and Pisa are both 30 minute drives. Stay in Florence if that is where you'll be going.

A very pleasant hotel within a 2 minute drive to the Signa train station to take an 18 minute ride to the main train in Florence, taking away the need to drive into a busy city with difficult and expensive parking. The delightful and very helpful Francesca works the front desk most afternoons and makes the stay even more enjoyable.

We had a wonderful experience at the Stil Hotel May 4th-May 5th and will certainly be repeat visitors if we ever return to the area. The hotel was small, but perfectly appointed. Spotlessly clean, modern, and attractive. The breakfast included a nice variety of meats, breads, pastries, and beverages. The room layout was amazing. Not one bit of space […] was wasted. There was an abundance of storage areas and hooks. The chair was very comfortable for reading and relaxing. There was a desk, safe, and mini fridge, and flat screen TV. Room temperature was efficient controlled by a modern thermostat. About the only thing we did not like about the room was the shower. It was a bit small and slippery. Added bonus! Free WIFI and it worked great everywhere. The location was a great base for a visit to the Tuscany area and the price was very competitive. If you have a car, there is free parking. If you do not have a car (we didn’t), the staff will drive you to/from the train station. No fanfare or hassle, just ask them. We asked for a ride on our first trip to the train station and our last (with our luggage). The rest of the time, we enjoyed the 20 minute walk. Directly next to the hotel are a grocery store and bank and across the street is an ATM and pharmacy. There are not a lot of dining options in the area, but surprisingly enough we really enjoyed the Scottish Pub across the street. Go in around 9:00pm, order a half litre of the house red and a pizza (over 30 choices), then sit back and watch the place fill up with Signa (pronounced Seena, silent G) residents. Last, but certainly not least, stay at the Stilhotel because of the staff. Every single staff member was friendly, accommodating, and helpful. We were always greeted cordially and with a smile. My wife and I had to opportunity to stay at the SH during our visit to Italy this spring. The customer service at the hotel was excellent. The breakfast was great, and always served with a smile. Our only negative about this hotel is its location in relationship to Florence and other major attractions. Unless you are willing to walk 20 - 25 min to the […] local train station (or get a cab) its a little out of the way. Other than that you are sure to enjoy your stat at the Stilhotel. The hotel had large spacious rooms and was of a standard you would expect from a high quality American hotel at a fraction of the price.. Wireless broadband was free, The hotel was a good 15-20 minute walk from the train station at Signa, which was the only problem, although […] you can catch a bus, Fron Signa Station you are only a 20 minute train ride (less than 2 Euros) from the main Florence Rail station.There are trains every hour at least to Florence. The hotel was modern and close to two supermarkets and several bars/ pizza / Doner Kebab places.The staff were very helpful and spoke Engllish and breakfast, although geared towards European tastes, was varied and plentiful. This Hotel is 100% tidy, neat and clean. Staff is super frienly and helpfull. Whi-Fi is instantly accesable with Password provided by front desk. Of 8 nifgts in Italy the 3 at Stilhotel were by no comparison the BEST! Location may seem a con but the staff arranged lifts to and from the train station (4min by car) and supplied us with a train time […] table. Train trip about 15-20mins from Florence Santa Maria Novello. we enjoyed being out of the BUZZ of florance at night time. We used this hotel as a base to visit Florence, and it served us well. It is a short train trip from Florence, and a 15 minute walk or so from Signa train station, though staff at the hotel will collect you and drop you off there for no charge. There is an excellent Scottish (yes, Scottish!) pub just over the road that serves nice pizzas and drinks […] in a nice atmosphere. The hotel was excellent in all ways. The only issue I would have changed was the comfort of the bed. It was too hard for my liking. However, that is mundane compared to the comfort of the hotel, location, and service.

The Stilhotel is like a gem, a bit difficult to find. But, once the one-way streets are conquered, one is rewarded with outstanding service, immaculate rooms and modern surroundings. The staff provided us with train schedules, local maps, and even a Garmin (they programmed it for us) so we wouldn't get lost driving to Pisa. The free internet works well, […] parking is secure, breakfast is good (loved the fresh fruit) and plentiful. The rooms have many amenities including a coffee maker, safe, refrig, and bathrobes. There are two markets and an ATM just steps away. The Signa train station is about a mile away with free parking nearby. It's an 18 minute train ride to Florence's Santa Maria Novella station. Arm yourself with good, detailed maps to find the Stilhotel. If approaching from the south on Via Roma, you will be forced to turn right a few blocks before the hotel. Follow the traffic as it turns left and proceed to the roundabout (enter at 6 o'clock, exit at 9 o'clock). The Stilhotel is diagnoally across the street from the Signa Coop). It's worth the search! Et lille moderne hotel med meget venlige personale. Der er over 30 min. til Firenze i egen bil, men der kører også tog fra stationen tæt på hotellet(1 km).

Hotel confortable bien que l'environnement soit bruyant car situé en bord de route urbaine et sur parking petit centre commercial. Personnel accueillant . A 15 mn de la gare a pieds et 20 mn du centre de Florence en train pour un coût modique.

Hotel di nuova costruzione ottime camere e ottima la pulizia. Confortevole, ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

Réception trés agréable, directeur super sympa ainsi que le personnel du petit déjeuner hotel propre calme et accueillant

Tout neuf, tout propre, personnel à la réception très sympathique, bon restaurant juste en face (The old scottish tavern"). Seule l'insonorisation n'est pas excellente mais il n'y a pas beaucoup de bruit de toute façon (quartier calme).

L'hôtel est très bien très moderne et le petit déjeuner est super. Mauvaise note, assez loin de Florence.

Cidadezinha simpatica, mas cheia de transito. O hotel esta localizado ao lado de 2 supermercados grandes. Otimo cafe da manha. Equipe fantastica, moças simpaticas e educadas. Não gostei do estacionamento não ter nenhum tipo de proteção e de não ter direito a cafe da manha no ultimo dia. Se voce para 5 diarias só pode tomar cafe 4 vezes, no ultimo eles […] cobram um preço absurdo pelo cafe da manha, equivalente a uma refeição completa num restaurante proximo ao Hotel com direito a vinho.
