Holiday Inn Express Johnson City - Johnson City

The hotel was very well kept. Our room was spotless. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The only complaint is that I could hear our neighbors talking after we "turned out the lights."

We stayed here for 3 nights and the staff was very kind and helpful. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Each time we used the pool and hot tub, but asked that the heat be turned up in the hot tub and someone was there to take care of it within minutes. The complementary breakfast was great. The only negative was that part of the reason we booked […] this hotel was the in-room wireless, which didn't work. When we asked about it, we were told that our room was in an area of the hotel where the signal was weak. It wasn't critical, so we didn't switch rooms, but if you stay here and in-room wireless is a necessity, make sure to ask the staff to place you in an area where the signal is strong. A nice experience. Warm cookies and a staff willing to help any way they could. Pretty standard free breakfast. Neat added touch was the pillows were labeled as soft or firm.

Pillows were HORRIBLE, mattresses were cheap, poor quality, walls are thin and noise travels through them easily. I could hear conversation level speech from the room adjacent very clearly. Breakfast was typical, cheap, food service quality, mass produced.

This hotel is brand new. It is beautiful. Rooms are very nice. Mattress is very comfortable. Rooms have microwaves and mini-fridge. Breakfast buffet is great: egg dish, protein dish, cereals, breads, juices, etc.

La mps/lights, including all bathroom, were super low voltage spiral bulbs. So dim that it was impossible to read paper by or wife apply makeup. One bulb of a two bulb lamp was burnt out when we arrived. Called desk. He had to bring two bulbs in two separate trips to get one to work. The room we were assigned was on the first floor, next to secondary […] exit door to hotel. Since hotel was non-smoking, guests would go outside to smoke, leaving door open. Room smelled of smoke entire time there. Bottom line, would not stay in that particular hotel again and if staying in a Holiday Inn Express again, would ask to see the room in advance. Our stay at Holiday Inn at Johnson City, Tn was picture perfect. The room was clean, bright and well appointed. The staff at the reception desk were professional and very helpful when we asked for directions to local eating establishments. I can't think of any thing we lacked at this fine establshment..

Wonderful hotel, great mountain view out our 4th floor window! Comfortable beds, not much between-room noise. Everyone was very friendly and happy to help make our stay better. Great breakfast also.

This is our second time staying at this hotel. The rooms are very clean and the shower is powerful. The breakfast is fresh, hot and the area is kept clean. I will continue to stay here each time we make a trip to ETSU. It's easy to get to the university without being in the middle of any heavy traffic.

My niece graduated from ETSU. I have never been to Johnson City before and didn't have any idea where to stay. Booked the room through Expedia. My 82 year old mother and sister and myself stayed in the room. Wish we could have stayed longer. The breakfast was outstanding.

Room is excellent very comfortable and clean. Pool is amazing. Only problem was with giving a credit card, it got charged accidently and messed my account up but they straightened it out.

We stayed here after going to the Bristol race. A little drive but it was worth it. The beds were comfy, and everyone seemed friendly. Breakfast was pretty good as well! We didn't use pool etc.

Great room, decent price for the event weekend. Only one complaint. There was no place to hang the towels or washclothes in the bathroom. There was only one hook on the back of the door. They need to install some towel hangers.

I found this hotel to be a welcome combination of quality and value. The staff was efficient, the room was impeciably clean and relaxing. The Mexican restaurant close by was also a real plus as a place to eat later in the evening before turning in. My week of business was enhanced by staying at this Holiday Inn Express. I'll be back.

This is our second visit at this hotel. We travel for track meets and are in Johnson City regularly. This is a clean, nice facility. We are very pleased with the hotel and the staff. They are friendly efficient and easy to work with.

The staff was very friendly and responsive. The indoor heated pool was a big hit with our toddler, and the staff did not mind that we sat in the lobby/lounge area and played with play-doh on the breakfast tables. Breakfast had plenty of tasty options, hot and cold; the cookies and the weekday reception with beer, wine, and snacks were nice bonuses! […] The only less than ideal aspect was the loud heater in the room, which interfered with my husband's sleep the first night. This was our third or fourth stay at this HIE. We like it's location for our personal needs. The staff was very helpful. The ouly downside is it is a few bucks more pricey than the other places nearby.

Second room, the shower faucet dripped loudly all night causing the bathroom floor to be covered in water. Also, the bed had hair on pillow and sheets. This is the second time that I have stayed at this hotel. We go to visit my son that is attending ETSU. The hotel is always clean and the employees are great. The pool was clean and very warm and the breakfast bar was well presented and well stocked. It really is nice seeing how they take pride in there hotel. The hotel was absolutely beautiful. I didn't take advantage of the breakfast, but it looked good. The folks (and I mean ALL of the folks) at the front desk were not very friendly. For the most part there was no eye contact, no welcome. They seemed preoccupied with the computer. This isn't what I expect from a nice hotel. I always face a pending hotel stay with a little anxiety, because I'm never quite certain that the picturesqe hotel on the website is the same one I'm booking. We were downstairs near the small, indoor pool & jacuzzi. The staff was friendly; our room was clean & well-maintained and nicely equipped. the hotel was nice. there were some bugs in the stair well and it was really noisy at night. it seems like there was a lot of door slamming. out door did not shut quietly either. they could work on their room doors.

This hotel is clean, but compared to other Holiday Inn Express Properties it seems a little distressed. Scuffs in our room had been painted over with paint that did not match. We stayed overnight for our daughters graduation along with other family members. We had four rooms and everyone said their room were excellent. Very comfortable pillows and a nice breakfast in the morning. I would definitely stay there again. Joel D

Located near the malls & colleges - has everything you could ask for in the area. Close to the VA Medical Center - easy on/off the freeway, yet traffic is very mild.

The room and the pool were very nice and clean. The breakfast was great and the service wad nice. The lady working the breakfast area in the morning even took the trash i brought in from my car.
