TRAFFIC:Oak hotel have a perfect location,10-13 mins to JR-Ueno,Keisei-Ueno station,4 mins to Tokyo Metro-Inaricho station and 30mins to 淺草 by walk.10 mins to Tokyo unervisty by taxi.It's not as crowded as Tokyo or shinjuku station in the morningXD but Oak might not a perfect hostel for person who wanna visit yokohama橫濱, kamakura鎌倉 Karuizawa輕井澤. Surrounding: […] is really quiet, safe.(i think it's more safer for a female backpacker to stay than shinsuku) Counter is kind and well english spoken. i odered a double-bed room this time, the space is just suit for 2 people, can't be more person LOL. Bed and pillows are comfortable. But the soundproof is not quite well if someone slamming the next door or talk loudly.(keep cross ur figer to meet a great next door room mate) anyway, Oak hotel still will be my option to Tokyo. FOOD&DRINK:u can find 2-3 convenience stores in 5 mins, 2 24hours restaurants in 5mins.a lot of different kind of restaurants,bars, supermarket and traditional market(for seafood?) near ueno station. around 10 min walk away from JR Ueno, acceptable. The most nice part for me is the price, when even a bed in hostel cost around 3300 yen, pay a bit more can get a standard (may call tidy - in case not in Japan) room is fantastic ^_^

The Oak hotel had much more of an international backpackers feel than other places we stayed at and provided a lot of English language information about the area and what was happening in Tokyo. small hotel with all things!

Hotel is at an acceptable location near to Inaricho Metro line. It is also very quiet due to its distance from the road. If Sensoji temple and Nakamise Street is one of the sightseeing agenda, it is just a 15 minutes walk away. The Kitchen town at Kappabashi is also an eyeopener to what specialization really means. I have stayed at Oak Hotel for 1 night on 4 Dec - 5 Dec 2011, Reception was warmly welcome and many facilities has been prepare, so I have change my plan from another hotel to take 1 more night on 11 Dec-12 Dec.

Staff can speak english and they are all very kind to help you, room is small but comfortable.

If what you need is a clean and comfortable bed with an ensuite toilet and bath and not pay the earth in high cost Japan, then this is suitable for your needs. The room space is awfully small but comfortable enough. You would need to put the suitcase on the bed to pack or unpack. Staff with perfect knowlege of English.

Oak hotel is more a hostel in residential area. It is located near Inaricho subway station and not exactly near to Ueno main station.

This hotel has all you need and we found this to be our little diamond. The room is sufficient with LAN and WiFi in the lobby. A lot of backpacker choose to stay here. The hotel price is reasonable with the room is clean yet small. The hotel provide useful travel information on their notice board. Oak Hotel is very convenience for those who like to spend days in UENO for visiting Ueno Park, Zoo, Museum. It's a good stay too if you travel the western part of Tokyo by JR. It was a strones throw away from the train station. Many convenience stores and restaurants nearby so you will not go hungry.You can also get many brochures and information on tours, places of interest and transportation at the lobby. Very useful for first time travellers like me.

Hotel is fine, but nothing fancy. Rooms are small and bathroom is cramped. Location is excellent, though. 10 minute walk from Ueno station (on the Keisei Narita Express) and a 10-15 minute walk to the old Japanese neighborhoods. Not easy to find the hotel itself, but they put out an electronic sign pointing you where to turn.

This is about one of the most reasonable hotels you will find in the city with the helpful staff.

Ginza Line metro station is just few steps away. You may walk to Asakusa in 15 minutes and Ueno park in 10 minutes.

The hotel close to JR and metro lines so you can get anywhere you want to go. The room is very small but good value for the price.

I stayed at Oak hotel for 5 days in Tokyo during my trip in may2010. The hotel staff were very friendly, approachable and speaks gd english. There is alot of useful info (maps, brochures) at the recept area. Only 3min walk from Inaricho station and 10mins from Ueno. There were internet terminals but were occupied most of the time. 從上野站步行大約10分鐘便到，十分方便快手捷。

Posizionato a 500mt dalla stazione JR di Ueno, lungo la strada per Asakusa. Il personale è gentilissimo e parla un ottimo inglese. Le camere sono minuscole. In reception moltissime info su cosa vedere, orari dei treni, collegamenti con l'aeroporto e possibilità di stampare documenti. Lo consiglio.

宾馆设施，地址位置都很棒，我们老板已经入住过两次了，老总说下次去东京还让我安排入住此宾馆。另外Hotel的奖励住宿机制很棒，让我们节省了一些钱。

飯店的房間相當迷你 若是兩個大男生的話住起來有點辛苦 另外，飯店並不願提供第二份棉被

都很好! 但就是房間跟浴室小了點, 還有只有一樓才有無線網路
