Everyday there was an issue-unsanitary room, debris in water, no air conditioning, rust, mildew, water from shower running into room, no hot water, damaged furniture, early morning noise disturbances, inattentive/unconcerned/lackadaisical staff. Warning: parking is on the street- there is no such thing as "parking" in the hotel. You may be temporarily unlucky as we were and arrive at a time when the street was packed and no place to park. You wait a bit (until the restaurant at the corner starts to get empty -which btw, don't waste your time going; it's not as good as they will tell you) and […] you find a spot. Parking rules are unclear, but we got no tickets even if we were parking in a 'forbidden' spot. Not so good: hotel has no acoustics, so if someone is yelling (like maids like to do from one floor to the other), or if the neighbours are in high heels, you listen everything! Not so good: bathroom is cute, but so impractical. Ends up flooded every time you shower. Not so good: rooftop patio would be better with some shade. Sun can be unbearable and there is no shade at all. Not so good: it would be nice if rooms could become totally dark; curtains are ok, but not totally darkening the room. Not so good: they will tell you that they give you tickets for a private beach for 2 people. However, read the small font: those 'free' tix require min consumption per person of US$15! Just to get a towel and a sun-bed.... when the sand is so deliciously comfortable to be on. SO, beware, there is no free lunch. The BEST: strategic location steps to beach and 5th avenue (where the action is), but still in a quiet area. The good2: brand new, everything looks nice, spotless. The staff was very helpful, polite and hospitable. Almost feels like a cute bachelor apartment, close to restaurant, bars, boutiques and 3 blocks from the beach.

Bambu Suites is just off the north end of Quinta, the main street where everything happens in Playa. It's also an easy 2-block walk to the beach. The two full beds seemed a little short for our over 5'10" selves, but otherwise the room was very comfortable. The kitchen had a big fridge and a microwave - very handy for making our own brealfasts and lunches […] sometimes, and keeping drinks cool. The living room area chairs could perhaps have been cosier, but I'm getting picky now. We were able to walk out to the small dipping pool, with sunbeds that always had a choice of sun or shade due to their courtyard location. Ideal spot for using the wi-fi and reading. The neighborhood was quiet, except when the mariarchi band began it's evening round at the fish restaurant across the road and woke us up from an afternoon nap or two. Incidentally, that same restaurant was often packed with locals in the afternoons. (We didn't eat there because we're vegetarian.) The supermarket, a few blocks away from the beach, is well worth the walk for low prices and a slice of local life. The beach is long golden sand, and always has an onshore breeze. We were never too hot, but the sea was always warm. I swam in the sea more than I have in years. It wasn't a great beach for snorkelling, though. You can see the high-rises of Cozumel on the horizon. Fantastic apart/hotel with a boutique feel to it. A wee bit off the main drag of 5th Avenue, but literally only by a few minutes stroll which we welcomed after eating out etc. The rooms are huge and Lopita and the cleaning staff ensured that everything was spotlessly clean every single day. Bambu Suites is about a year old. First the good -In many ways its a very nice, small hotel. Our jr. suite was very spacious, very clean, attractively decorated, wii-fi worked fine, full kitchen. It's about 4 blocks from ocean, on the new end of 5th Avenue - many restaurants and shops very near by. Now the bad - there are just too many things that […] are wrong, basically all of which could be readily corrected if the owner paid more attention to the details. Of 2 air conditioners in the suite, only 1 worked (the other one just the fan worked). The hair dryer would run 10 seconds before tripping the overload switch. This is a new small and modern hotel, the staff was extremely nice, the hotel has 3 hot tubs on the roof, which you can use up until 1AM. The only drawback was the location of the hotel. If you walk down to 5th Ave. which is where 80% of the action is, it will take you 10-15 mins walking. This normally wouldn't be an issue, but when it's 92 degrees […] and the humidity is close to 70% it can be quite a trek. Schönes, kleines, modernes Hotel in Top-Lage. Personal war großteils bemüht. Zuerst hat das Wasser nach Fäkalien gestunken. Aufgrund sofortiger Beschwerde haben wir ein neues gleichwertiges Zimmer bekommen. Dort funktionierte der Fernseher nicht, wurde aber auf unser Verlangen unverzüglich ausgetauscht. A szálloda nagyon jó helyen van, tiszta, szép apartmanokkal. A takarítás korrekt, a medence tiszta. A wifi gyenge, a portán lévő gép pedig használhatatlanul lassú. A recepciósok barátságtalanok. Az egyetlen zavaró körülmény, hogy általában a délutáni órákban ( szieszta idején) karbantartanak hangosan. Ütvefúrót, csiszológépet, elektromos vágókat használnak […] nagy zajjal, de ha semmi sincs, akkor nagynyomású mosóval mossák fel az udvart, vagy hatalmas kalapáccsal vakolatot vernek .Amikor reklamáltunk, akkor közölték, hogy ők csak a munkájukat végzik. esta ubicado a una manzana del inicio de la quinta ave. por lo que es silencioso y tranquilo. Esta caminando de muy buenos restoranes, tiendas y lugares entretenidos. La habitación, dos camas con buen baño, excelente ducha y en primer piso junto a la piscina muy cómoda, con un comedor y cocina incorporada. Le falta un sofá en el living. Cocina completa […] pero sin estufa, solo microhonda. Esta a dos cuadras de la playa, pero caminando sin problema. Stayed here for 15 days and there where no problems what so ever.. It's a great place, big rooms and a small pool and 2 jacuzzis on the roof. We used them a lot. I never saw any body use the pool, but you really not need it. The beach is very close and you got the jacuzzis. It relly close to the 5th av. 1 block. You need to walk 200m. Before the tourist […] trap begins. Ha ha. There are a lot of restaurants around the hotel and a big supermarket 5 mins away. The staff where very friendly and could help us with what ever we asked them. Los cuartos son muy grandes y espaciosos, el hotel es muy nuevo y tiene todas las comodidades, el personal es muy eficiente, y la ubicación esta genial, todo eso por el precio fue una ganga.

Todo muy bien. Cerca de la Playa Mamitas pero en realidad lejos de la mayoría de los lugares má ssomunes en Playa del Carmen. Está hasta el final de la 5a.

Det är ett litet hotell med lugnt läge i norra änden av 5.e avenyn, in på en tvärgata. Det tar fem minuter att gå till stranden. Det känns tryggt med tillgänglig reception dygnet runt och personal som hade koll på sina gäster. Som ensam resenär var detta perfekt. Skönt med möjlighet att ha lite egna matvaror i kylen och kunna använda micron. Skulle […] inte rekommendera det för barnfamiljer med barn som behöver utrymme för att leka/ roa sig och som önskar en större pool eller andra aktiviteter. Denna pool är liten och knappt bara till för att doppa sig i samt låg en meter från dörren till receptionen. Såg ingen som badade där under mina två veckor på hotellet. Det är ett vuxenhotell eller familjer med riktigt små barn utan krav på aktiviteter. Önskvärt skulle vara att det fanns några sittvänliga stolar med bord utomhus och inte bara solsängar. Está a 3 cuadras de donde comienza la 5ta avenida y todas sus tiendas. Vale la pena, porque permite descansar, no hay ruido. El hotel está nuevo y bastante agradable. Bastante cerca de mamitas beach.

El hotel lo tiene todo, ubicación, limpieza, comfort y funcionalidad. La parte negativa es la falta de interés por fidelizar a los clientes. Después de pasar casi 9 noches en este hotel y siendo de los pocos clientes que se hospedaban en esos días allí, no fueron capaces de satisfacer una única petición que hice, hacer un check out un poco más tarde […] de lo habitual. Me cobraron una hora extra. Por lo demás el hotel está muy bien si lo que buscas es estar alejado del ruido y las multitudes. Es un hotel en el que se puede descansar bien y está cerca de la playa. Meget lækkert og hyggeligt hotel tæt ved strand og by. Hotellet ligger lige et par blokke væk fra alle restauranterne og butikkerne, så man undgår larm og støj, men det tager kun et par minutter at gå til begge dele.. Hotellet er meget rent og fint, med sødt og hjælpsomt personale. På værelserne er der dagligt opfyldning af billigt sodavand, vand og […] slik i køleskabet, samt meget fin rengøring af værelset. L'Hotel est très bien entretenu, nouvel hôtel de construction Décembre 2009 avec belle décoration simpliste et stylisée. La piscine est rarement occupée, elle nous servait de piscine privée. Les 2 jacuzzis sur la terasse sont ouverts 24/24 mais ne servent jamais. L'hôtel est à quelques minutes de marche de la partie achalandée de la 5ème avenue (la […] "Quinta"), un peu trop loin à mon avis. J'ai été déçue de 3 choses: 1ère: mauvaise information transmise au sites de voyages car cet hôtel ne possède seulement que 2 chambres avec balcon (1 suite avec lit King et un chambre régulière) qui étaient occupés pendant mon séjour. 2ème: les têtes de lit qui ne sont pas fixés soit au mur ou au plancher. Résulat, on se réveille à chaque fois que l'on bouge durant notre sommeil car elles claquent au mur et l'on entend celles des voisins du haut aussi! 3ème: un grand mirroir aurait été très apprécié pour se voir de plein pied avant de sortir le soir. Ces 3 choses ont été mentionnés aux préposés de la réception mais les infos des sites de voyages restent inchangés. Nous avons été déplacés dans une suite au rez-de-chaussée moyennant un supplément pour la dernière semaine où nous avions une cuisine complète. Nous avons pu nous faire de bonnes bouffes ainsi que se faire quelques cocktails. Les femmes de chambres et l'homme à tout faire de l'hôtel sont exceptionellement sympatiques cela aide à faire oublier la froideur des autres employés. En général un bel hôtel qui manque d'humanisme.
