Kimon Athens Hotel - Αθήνα

We stayed at the kimon. Room was good value for money. Reception very helpful. A reasonable breakfast incuded. Great spot.

It is an old building that has been renovated. The toilet in my room was encroached against the vanity cabinet, so i couldn't seat straight. I had to seat in an angle. Bed was like a table....reaaaallly hard.! The rest was ok.

Reception staff were lovely and location is very close to the metro and bus stop (to go to and from the airport). Room was a little small but was clean.

the staff was extremely friendly and helpful (alex in particular is well-spoken and knowledgeable of the area). the location is superb - very close to syntagma square as well as to main drag leading up to acropolis and down to adorable eateries. warning: the room i stayed in was very basic, but then again, so was the price. other rooms were airy and […] bright, though be forewarned that a single-occupancy is VERY narrow (super economical in both space and price) breakfast, at a small additional charge, was no-frills but tasty, and the juice fresh-squeezed. staff in rooftop area very nice. not many adapters/conveniently located charge stations in room, but did have wireless and a/c unit. It is an excellent location for visiting Athens. It is a 5 minute walk to Syntagima Metro stop, 10 minutes walk to the restaurants at the base of the Acropolis on the Plata side (romantic but off the main tourist tracks) and 30 minute hard climb from the entrance of the Acropolis. The main entrance to Acropolis is via a long gradual climb on the South […] Side but there is a steep climb by the Agora on the North side that is much more convenient to the hotels near Sytagmima Square. Not much service at Kimon but it is clean and the staff is polite. There is no lift for luggage and the marble stairs are quite steep and treacherous. All rooms are at least on story above a tiny street front lobby. The continental breakfast is reasonably priced. We chose not to take it and discovered we had made a mistake. Plata is very expensive for breakfast. They have a great rooftop balcony and if you go to the West side of it you can get some great night shots of the Acropolis. Great location, can't be beat. Friendly staff, very clean, basic room, nothing fancy, a little noisy, motorcycles and street noise. For the price, a great deal if you value convienience over extras.

The neighborhood is not somewhere I would hang out on a regular basis, but the location can't be beat and the nights were peaceful. We had a room on the 3rd floor (no elevator) and direct access to the spacious terrace. I commend the guy doing Tai chi outside in the early morning light! Check in was quick, and the person at reception helped us with our bags to the room - there is no lift - but it's only 3 storeys. The room is basic with tiled floor - doesn't give a "warm" feeling, but for the price, it was very acceptable. Good sized room, bathroom was a little small, but manageable with 2 people. The safe was not bolted down, so we […] were a little concerned. The shower was excellent (best I've seen in any 5-star hotel)! Location is excellent, very near to the shops and restaurants, 10 mins from Syntagma station, and 5 mins to Monastiraki. We could walk to the Acropolis and Agora, Ermou shopping district, even to the Central Market on Athinas. On checkout, the reception demanded payment from us when we had already paid in full on booking. It was hoever settled when we showed our internet booking info. Hotellet ligger sentralt i Plaka med kort gåavstand til de historiske plassene i Athen. Forholdsvis rolig og lite traffikert strøk. Vennlige og imøtekommende ansatte på hotellet. God romservice. Rimelig hotell i forholdt til standeren.

centralissimo, tutti molto cortesi e gentili. non male la camera, sopratutto perché al primo piano ( non c'è ascensore). consigliato.

Points forts : situation, propreté, accueil, personnel aimable et disponible, internet. Quelques défauts : le store qui ne ferme pas, le veilleur de nuit qui a oublié de nous réveiller..., la salle de bains exiguë, sans place pour poser une trousse de toilettes (chambre n° 9). Néanmoins nous le recommandons, bon rapport qualité/prix.

Bra standard, bra städning, dock en aning lyhört. Bara en sänglampa, det bör åtgärdas. Bra frukost med god service. Tillgång till gratis Internet bra. Bra läge i Plaka.

Alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten lassen sich vom Hotel aus zu Fuß bequem erreichen. Der Service war sehr nett und zuvirkommend. Lage in einer ruhigen kleinen Straße.

L'hôtel Kimon présente l'avantage certain d'être un des établissements les moins chers se situant dans les "beaux" quartiers d'Athènes. En effet, pour avoir eu l'expérience de résider quelques nuits dans le secteur infiniment mal fréquenté d'Omonia, cela n'a pas de prix. Vous pourrez donc flâner dans les environs à n'importe quelle heure sans aucune […] crainte. En lui même, l'hôtel a certainement subi un changement de propriétaire récent puisque de nombreuses choses ont été refaites. Cependant, des marques d'usure comment déjà à apparaitre (moquettes des couloirs qui se gondolent, papiers peints qui s'effritent). Heureusement, la propreté des chambres et le soin qui est apporté au ménage est irréprochable. La seule déception notable (mais elle est de taille), concerne la vue sur l'Acropole. En effet, seulement 1 chambre dans tout l'hôtel possède une vue directe sur le site en question.
