Oasey Beach Hotel - Induruwa

The hotel is in village called Induruwa. There are not many shops or restaurants so that we had to go to the nearest city Aluthgama. Can be reached by bus (20 RS) or by tyk tyk (200 RS normal price). The beach is nice. The location of the hotel on the beach is right in the middel between two points where ocean is polluted from sewages (500 meters from […] each point). So the beach and the water where the hotel is placed are relatively clean. Butt the ocean itself is a bit rough I think the hotel is the right choice for somebody who wants to staty in the hotel the whole time. The owner of the hotel is greedy. He cheated some turists who didn't speak Englis with the price for excursions and transfer. So be careful. Rooms are clean and very nice. Price in the hotel restaurant is a bit more expensive to compare to other places. In the neighborhood not many choses to tast fresh fish and seafood. I really loved this hotel & hope to return!Extremely friendly staff - especially the waiters, who were very attentive and helpful.The Swiss owner also introduced herself & gave advice on what to do. Great location right on the beachfront, large clean pool, volleyball net, small swing & see saw for kids, elevated restaurant, balcony (shared but this […] was fine), big bathroom with a powerful shower. Great breakfast - sausage/bacon, eggs, cereal, toast, jam, drinks etc & fresh juice each morning. Restaurant provided excellent competitively priced food. Small shop across the road sold drinks and biscuits. Easy to catch 3 wheeler from outside the hotel at any time of the day or night - aprox. 400 rupes into the town of Aluthgama - 10 minutes away. Small train station opposite - Induruwa - trains did not go very frequently from here so I would recommend travelling to Aluthgama by train then 3 wheeler which is what we did when we travelled from Colombo. Good selection of activities nearby within 10min 3 wheeler journey - river cruise,water sports, turtle sanctuary & gardens. Overall a very good hotel offering excellent value for money! The hotel is nicely situated on the beach and opposite the railway station. The room is simple and comfy but the bathroom smelt a bit foul for some reason. There is a nice outdoor bar where you can eat your meals and have drink whilst looking at the crashing waves. The hotel is situated on the beach, the rooms good sized and cleaned daily. The food is very good and staff excellent. The only problem with the hotel is the manager, and the place ran better when he wan't there. If you want a nice stay then don't complain, as I found out he doesn't take kindly to complaints easily, and his response was to shout at […] me whilst walking away. Two days later my complaint remained unresolved to his satisfaction, and he informed me the police were going to be called, they never arrived. Very nice place. Clean and wellkept. Friendly and personal staff with a very helpful and smiling attitude. The hotel manager Lotti (Swiss) is very helpful and familiar. I had a cold, and she drove right away to the pharmacy, and got me some (very cheap) medicin. The kitchen is good and varied, but they don't have all the dishes written in the menu. May recent visit to Sri Lanka and styaing at Oasey Beach Hotel was really good. The hotel staff is very friendly and helping. The rooms are very neat and clean, the hotel is on the beach and a very peacful place to spend vacations there. I would like to recommend this hotel for the tourists.

large rooms which were cleaned and fresh linen everyday. friendly staff ,good location, very helpful, good value compered to bentota.sometimes there can be lack of communication between staff eg taxies for departures. food is reasonable we did find they were better at cooking thier local cusine .

I went to Sri Lanka during the Eid holiday from Kuwait in November 2011. The hotel is right on the ocean. The water and hide tides were high, but hotel has a nice pool in the ocean's view, so a great place to cool off. Conveniently located. Many couple s did find other eating establishments withiun walking distance. Most other guests were Europeans and Westerners who work and live in the Middle East area. Other guests were friendly and looking too for a place to relax. The rooms that I saw were spacious, clean, and had balconies that faced the ocean.
