This hotel was perfect for us (and we have quite high standards)! The location is fantastic, especially for holders of a Japan Rail Pass, as it is very close to a JR station (Suidobashi). Also, quite a few small restaurants around, if you arrive late and need to have a bite without going far. Rooms are small, but very comfortable! Just enough space for 2 people and baggage, but very efficient room plan. You do not feel the room is small. Bathroom is perfectly clean and comfortable. The whole hotel and room give out a sense of a much larger and more expensive hotel, while the design has some traditional touches that make this hotel special. Staff was also great. Even offered us a free umbrella (that we could keep) when it was raining. Would definitely recommend for a stay in Tokyo, especially if you can get a good price for it! We were very (very!) happy with our stay!

Our room was on the 10th floor and had a marvellous view to the Tokyo Tower. It was very clean, warm, next to the train station and it had many facilities. I would recommendate this hotel.

Τοποθετημένο στην πόλη Τόκιο, Ιαπωνία (Asakusa), το Hotel Keihan Asakusa βρίσκεται κοντά σε σημεία ενδιαφέροντος όπως: πάρκο ΑνΑψυχής Hanayashiki, νΑός Sensoji και Εθνικό μουσΕίο του τόκιο. Σε κοντινή απόσταση υπάρχουν επίσης σημεία ενδιαφέροντος όπως: πάρκο ουένο και μουσΕίο Edo-Tokyo.

"a night stay in Asakusa"
Basically we stayed for 1 night only so not much of an experience but still it might help someone when decide. Since we used the Tokyo metro it was a bit far from any metro station and needed to walk with luggage from Asakusa Tokyo metro stop (Ginza line). When we arrived the staff was not too welcoming at all (they were not rude but weren't polite […] either). Here was the only place during our 2 weeks Japan stay where they photocopy my credit card too (additionally of the usual photocopying my passport). Since we had no further contact with the staff until checking out otherwise our stay was OK. The room was clean enough and it wasn't noisy or anything. In the neighborhood there are several dining facility so it was easy to find something for dinner. Also Asakusa location is very convenient if you would want to be there a lot. Διαβάστε περισσότερα
Only problem is that the staff in hotel can not speak good English.

Very clean and pleasant hotel in the Asakusa neighborhood. Ginza line is a 7-8 minute walk away, Sensoji temple is very close. Plenty of food, 7eleven, and Starbucks nearby. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Tokyo's Asakusa neighborhood!

the hotel itself is nicely done up, simple and comfortable. however, if it is ur first time there, make sure u take the tsukuba subway to the asakusa exit, it is much closer to the hotel than any other subway/train exit. hotel bed and toilet were good for a more budget hotel.

The location: Asakusa is a great neighborhood in Tokyo for those who want to be close to but not right in the thick of the busiest parts of Tokyo. If you're looking for a "Lost in Translation" experience, stay in Shubya, Shinjuku, or Roppongi (or a bunch of others). The neighborhood iteself has great shopping, sights, and easy subway access to other […] neighborhoods. Unfortunately, it's not on the JR Yamanote line, so folks with a JR rail pass will still have to pay fare to get to other parts of town on the Ginza line or the Tsukuba Express line, or walk a very boring mile to the JR Ueno station. The hotel itself: the rooms were small -- of course -- but actually not as small as I expected. We were able to stack our suitcases behind the door, there was room in the closet for a few days' worth of close, and our toiletries fit just fine on the bathroom counter. Our room was very quiet -- we couldn't hear a peep from the street below. And the place has a complimentary laundry room! After two weeks of washing our clothes in bathroom sinks, this was fantastic news. The 1,000 yen "continental" breakfast was nothing to write home about, but probably worth it if you're a coffee drinker, since a cup of drip coffee in Tokyo runs 400-500 yen alone. (Though it will be much stronger than what you'll find in the hotel.) Several of the staff spoke English very well and all of them were, of course, extremely helpful. One front desk worker called my airline for me to request a vegetarian meal before my flight home, which was absolutely wonderful since the number the airline gave to make such a request had led to a Japanese-only machine.
