Skuggi hotel was a great place to stay at in Reykjavik. It was a quick 10 minute walk to the proper downtown area, with lots of shops and restaurants. Only issue was the water pressure was very low, but the morning breakfast was great each day. Hotel employees were very nice and helpful.

I found the staff extremely helpful. They brought me an extra pillow, iron and even a wine glass to the room. They had knowledge about whether the trips were going ahead. Breakfast was very good, my husband is a meat eater and enjoyed it a lot.

We stayed here one night everything that we wanted to see was in walkable distance. the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was the best that we had in iceland. Plenty of parking in the garage. One of the decorations on the wall was falling off Bathroom had some water damage on the furniture. I would stay here again just the decor did not seem like it was very durable for a hotel with heavy use.

I felt lucky to get Skuggi in the end. My single-bed room was small but practically appointed. Perfect for sleeping, refreshing and emailing. I appreciated the quality of the duvet but could have done with a slightly larger one, or a little bigger wool blanket. Bathroom and shower were great. LOVE radiators. Room was basic but not spartan. Breakfast was DIVINE. Night reception gentleman was welcoming, helpful and kind.
