Would Stay Again

The room needed TLC, The carpet was not vacuumed well enough and the bathroom needed to be spruced up. I understand it is an old but iconic hotel. Most definitely the bathroom needs to be modernized and fix the damages on the bathroom door. Also, it needs more bathroom amenities and hooks to hang up a bathrobe or clothes. On the bright side, the bed was very comfortable and slept very well. Tha AC was cold enough for me to sleep very well, and the staff was very helpful and accommodating.

UNCLEAN RESORT CARIBE HILTON SAN JUAN 2021

The look of the hotel was amazing the staff was friendly except the women passing out towels at the pool everyone else spoke and asked were we enjoying our vacation room service as far as cleaning was not well kept up the windows was filthy around the toilet was not clean it was some sort of substance threw on the walls I don’t know if it was coffee or Pepsi I called and they came up to address this but then when we asked to get the sheets changed they came up and we was still in the room due to covid you cannot be in the room while they are cleaning housekeeping said they would be back and never came back so I called the front desk and housekeeping was closed so we had to wait until the following day once again the same thing happened Again the following day because housekeeping never gave a time so once again when they came we was still in the room we left and housekeeping said they would be back in 10 minutes we went out on a excursion and came back around 5ish still no clean sheets I called the front desk spoke with Sylvia the manager and she assured us housekeeping would come up and she would give us a 40 dollar credit at the bar the problem was that room service closed at 4 pm and it was now 5:30 pm so housekeeping came and put sheets on the bed and we all woke up with bites around our ankles after they put on clean sheets so we thought this only happened after the 3rd day we started getting bites on our legs So overall if the hotel made the trip horrible

Not a. 4 star hotel needs improvements, lack of attention to detail a lot of small things missing in service and infrastructure maintenance, food and drinks were wonderful, staff very friendly, just not at a 4 star level at this Moment.

Good overall

First, the customer service was top notch. I had read a couple of reviews about having bad customer service and i can not disagree more strongly. From the time we arrived we were greeted with a smile and addressed respectfully. Anthony checked us in, and every time we saw him whether he was walking around or behind the desk, he was always pleasant. My better half came with me for the trip, and she commented several times on how polite everyone was; from the front desk, to the guards, to housekeeping, to the restaurant hosts; even the maintenance workers. Our room was in the "beach wing" and we had a beautiful view of the ocean. Outside of that, it wasn't very nice. The carpet is worn and outdated, our thermostat didn't work so the air was on constantly even though i turned it off, and there was rust on the balcony where water had pooled. I wanted to take a shower once we were settled in; upon opening the shower curtain i noticed hair in the tub, and again also in the sink. I came out of the bathroom to let my better half know i had found hair, and she had also found hair in the balcony, in the chair and on the refrigerator. We decided to get some cleaning supplies and clean the room ourselves at that point. Other than our room, the property is nice with a lot of good restaurants. They are all pricey, but the food is good. The "resort" area that you pay extra for is nice as well. There are a couple pools, a private beach and lots of sitting. Very nice view.

Fantastic Stay

I absolutely loved my stay at the Caribe Hilton. Although times are different due to the pandemic,my sister and I still had a wonderful relaxing time. The beach was closed but we could still go into the pool. Our room had a spectacular view. Looking forward to staying here again. As always everyone is very pleasant at Caribe Hilton and it’s always very clean. This time was no exception.

We had serval nights were the adjacent rooms had very loud music, one night until 2 in the morning. It took 4 calls to the front desk to finally get the music stopped. Eventually had to move to another room. Enjoyed the pool and beach! Wish the hotel would enforce their policy on noise!

Great resort in San Juan

The Caribe Hilton is like a little bubble in San Juan. The grounds of the hotel are well kept and make you feel like you’re in a tropical location and the lobby is open air with nice restaurants sprinkled throughout. The rooms are clean and well kept and the staff are extremely nice and hospitable. The pool is the real star of the property. It’s big and clean and very close to the ocean. The private beach is a very nice perk too. Loved our stay here and would come again.
