Nice lobby and excellent staff, rooms need to be upgraded, small amount of mould in the shower. Expensive valet parking

The concierge had a problem with checking us in and despite numerous efforts she was unable to fix it and this left us standing at the counter for at nearly 20 minutes with people queuing up behind us. I t wasn't until I asked to speak to the manager twice that she sought some help. The manager was very apologetic and sorted the problem inside 5 minutes. The rest of the staff were very polite and breakfast was great. The room was clean and comfortable with access to t he club lounge but unfortunately the whole hotel is starting to look a little tired and in need of a refresh/upgrade to compete with newer hotels.

We stayed for 7 days in a river view king room (though mostly the view was of the roof of the convention centre next door, so not really worth the extra money). The room was clean & spacious & nice and quiet. The king bed was very comfy & the large marble bathroom was great. Unfortunately, on arrival, when checking in, we had an issue which detracted from our stay. As we were here for a lengthy stay, we chose this hotel using the filter for "car parking included". So we chose this hotel mainly for that reason, and therefore naturally assumed that our carparking was included in our room rate. Also, in the hotel info on Hotels.com, there was no mention whatsoever of any additional charge for parking in any of the small print, optional extras, hotel facilities etc. So we were very disappointed and annoyed to be told this was not included. The staff member who checked us in told us that valet parking would be an extra $45 per day - an extra $315 which we hadnt budgeted for. Not sure if this is the fault of the hotel or Hotels.com, but surely a filter that selects hotels with "car parking included" should mean included, not "available at an extra cost". When you select "breakfast included", that always means its included in your rate, not available at an extra cost. We had a pleasant stay overall, but the misleading information in our booking did leave us feeling very disappointed.

Our stay was very good, especially given the COVID-19 conditions the Hotel went out of their way to make us comfortable.

Absolute disgrace. Worst hotel experience ever. Filthy rooms. Beds should be burnt. Pool tiny and packed. Valet is useless and waits are unacceptable. Staff are friendly but useless and untrained. Cleaning is non exsistent. Not actually rated any stars currently just falsely advertising under previous rating. Try Stars new hotel or crowne plaza if you want luxury or cleanliness. Terrible.

Check in was slow and access cards didn’t work and had to return to queue again and desk, decor in room was very tired not at all what I expected for this level hotel. Bed was comfortable and location great.

Lovely two night stay at the InterContinental Adelaide. Staff were amazing and the breakfast on both mornings was excellent .Room was clean and accommodating. Location is great being next to easily accessible public transport. Would stay here again when we visit the Adelaide CBD.
