La Capitana Old San Juan

Generalyy good but when we had trouble getting in, there was no answer when I called and no return call when I left a msg. No wash cloths, were told we'd have to walk the 4 blocks to the "office" to get them. No sheets on the sleeper sofa. Were told we'd have to walk again to the office to get them, at 10:00 at night!! No hot water in one of the bathrooms. Really nice, though, to be able to leave our bags there after ckg out til we got a rental car and got back.

The view from the “Balcony” room was incredible. The place was surprisingly big too which was nice. Can’t believe the price we paid. Definitely would have paid more for that room.

This place is horrible. No hot water even after running it 30 minutes. TV was internet only but my Netflix would not work due to outdated software in TV/modem. Called to ask for help with issues and I was told no one was on duty or available that could discuss issues. Hotel/Expedia needs to remove this property from their listing.

This a a beautiful property in an amazing location.

Wasn’t what we expected. No chest of drawers. TV was on a shelf that was falling off the wall. We had to ask for 2nd roll of toilet paper and more than two towels.

The view and location was great. Other than that there was no hot water and the water pressure in the shower was a mere trickle. The towels were stained, ratty and looked liked rags I would clean my floors with. The wifi would not connect with our phones or devices. We called to the property management number for help and someone came over the first night and connected the tv to the wifi ...but only our Netflix account worked- no cable and still no wifi for our phones. After that they stopped answering our calls. The whole place was dirty.... countertops, walls, hair clumps on the shower walls, even the light switches were coated in dirt. Needs to be throughly wiped down, disinfected and floors bleached clean. No elevator. Very narrow staircase to carry luggage up if you are staying on the 2nd or 3rd floor. Still had an amazing time in Puerto Rico- wished I stayed somewhere else.

This was a terrible place to stay. I didn't receive a code to get my key and had to call to get it. They didn't answer the phone so I had to walk a few blocks to the sister property to get it. An employee walked back with me to get me into my balcony room. It wasn't at all what I expected. Cleanliness was not a priority and the water was not hot. There were several other people that also had problems with codes and getting into their rooms. On the plus side was the view from my balcony and working air conditioning. There are definitely better places to stay in Old San Juan.

Good location but I would rather stay at main hotel. This building is 3 blocks away but near the fort and on ocean. The main building has pool and food. This unit was large and comfortable. No parking.

I would give this property 3 out of 5 stars. It was a good location in Old San Juan and the room was huge. It had a full kitchen with utensils and dishes. However there was only 1 air condition unit for a 3 room apt and it was located in the bedroom, there was not a couch in the living room only a murphy bed. Our room was on the 3rd floor which proved to be difficult considering there was not a elevator. The room and the furnishings were a bit beat up, there was a coffee pot but no coffee... But it had a great view of the city and the ocean, with a balcony!!

It was better than expected!!!
