Monarch Hotel & Conference Center

I found this hotel to be comfortable with polite and efficient staff. My room had an occasional chair in addition to the desk chair, which I appreciated. The breakfast in the hotel restaurant, while not included in the price, was a very good meal with a great waitress. The hotel interior is a bit dark and seems a little outdated. Also, there aren't a lot of electrical outlets for devices, although there was one that I could reach that worked for my needs. My jetted tub burped black stuff when I turned it on, so I decided to shower instead--that was my only significant disappointment.

I have always enjoyed staying here. All the staff are friendly and helpful. I will be staying here on my next trip down next year.

The room was very dirty. We found moldy grapes on the floor and although there were fresh linens in the bathroom, we found a used razor, an old eyeliner and two piles of hair in the floor. No compensation was offered other than housekeeping coming in again.

Convenient location, near shopping. Many restaurants within walking distance. We found the beds to be too firm for our taste and certainly firmer than the usual hotel bed. However, the airport shuttle was a huge help, especially since the hotel is about 30 minutes away from the airport.

Nice people at check-in! Guy in the bar kinda different. Not to friendly, seemed rushed.
