Scandic Swania

One of the most modern hotel in the area, clean, comfortable. My only issue was that I reserve a room with Queen bed and got 2 twin beds, when telling this to the hotel service they told me I was upgrade to king bed but these 2 beds were not secure together and on wheels so if you moved during the night you ended up falling on the floor between them !!

We had a room that overlooked the river which was very nice. Staff was very helpful. Room was clean with basic necessities provided. Breakfast was fabulous. One small disappointment was the pool. I had seen a picture of the hotel pool and had hoped to swim some laps. But the pool was very small so not much swimming possible. But it was all very clean.

Very high quality for a three star, right in the middle of Trollhättan next to the canal, very stylish rooms, comfortable temperature, and the breakfast restaurant is 4 star plus.

Although I am satisfied with the stay, I will not be staying there again. In our first assigned room, the safety latch on a window was broken. I know this because my 5 year old son opened the 3rd floor window all the way and called me into his room to show me. The beds for my children were good, but the fold out couch that was for me was very uncomfortable. The staff was very friendly and understanding and upgraded my room immediately. The room was nicer, but the fold out couch for me was more uncomfortable than the first. I didn't want to move all of our luggage again so we just toughed it out for the next 2 nights. The views from the hotel were wonderful. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. The area is beautiful. If you are planning a stay without children and have a bed to sleep on, you're stay should be just fine! They do advertise a pool... and it was very cold. I could not enjoy it. The gym and sauna were great.

Short stay but everything worked out well with friendly and helpful personel at both reception and restaurant. Excellant breakfast buffé.

Great hotel, in a nice part of town, friendly and helpful staff, only problems were parking and slow/broken elevators.

Nice hotel and central location. Could benefit from A/C in the summer months.

Stayed one night for business. Lovely hotel, great position next to canal. Staff pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately hotel restaurant not open Sunday nights. No option for room service. Couldn’t find aircon control in room. But very clean and comfortable, and great bathroom. Good standard and choice at breakfast.
