Living Hotel Weißensee

A solid choice

Overall it was a great hotel for a few week's stay in Berlin. Within a 10-15 minute walk to the Albertinenstrasse and Antonplatz tram stops you had access to groceries and other shops, some decent restaurants, and the tram to U and S Bahn stations to explore the city. The business/single room was spacious, with enough furniture, clean bathroom, and a balcony. The kitchenette (2 electric burners, microwave, sink, and mini refrigerator) was decent. I was able to have breakfast, pack a sandwich for weekdays, and once in a while make a few basic dinners instead of eating out every night. The staff were friendly and professional. The biergarten behind the hotel was pleasant, a local friend thought the prices were a little high but not outrageous. Weissensee park is lovely. I would definitely stay here again.

Easter weekend in berlin

Perfect hotel for visiting family in Weißensee. Lovely beer garden and room with balcony. Peaceful quiet location. Great transport links with Berlin city and all the attractions.

Clean and comfortable very nice staff

Very nice staff and comfortable, clean room. A real hotel yet with apartment facilities. Would stay again at this chain, depending on location in Berlin.

Bad sleep experience

Absolutely terrible sleeping experience. The bed and pillow is NOT comfortable. I will check out from this hotel today..

Avoid 529, avoid the male at reception!!

Although the reviews are great and location is nice we found the hotel about average at best, check in was completed by a very abrupt male who shouted every instruction at my husband although he was 1 foot away, and when he said something even ther my husband or I understood he shouted CARD!! CREDIT CARD!! Even louder. We had abooked a double business room with city view and balcony, even called the hotel to confirm it, what we received was the darkest room with no balcony (529) facing a house wall and a tree!! Not expensive exactly a city view. The room was dated, apart from a new picture, the bed okay but only one pillow each!! I asked the house keeper lady for an extra one but it disappeared the next morning? The bathroom was very old, strange shower that you had to hold uproar gut with one hand as the head was at a strange angle. Food we didn’t eat, breakfast we were quoted €15 each per day so declined as a coffee and croissant is all we would have had wasn’t worth it. Overall for what we needed i.e. a bed and location it was okay, did we complain? Yes at first but as they said they were full and my husband checked for another hotel spending more money and not getting anything back here we just sucked it up. We would book again? No.

Excellent hotel in Weißensee

Living Hotel Weißensee was perfect for our stay. Tucked away in a quiet street but with easy access to frequent trams and buses meant it was the ideal location for our visit. Having a room with a balcony overlooking the small lake and park to the rear of the building made for perfect surroundings for having breakfast in the sun. Our room had a small kitchenette with fridge and cooker meaning basic self-catering would be possible. The lovely touch of having a couple of bottles of beer and water topped up in the fridge each day was welcome. The steam room facilities in the basement looked to be brand new. They were a great addition to our stay. Staff were all lovely. We would be very happy to return some time soon.
