Arthotel ANA Amadeus

Charming hotel in the heart of the Alstat..very traditional and great service. They are working on the facade so couldn´t appreciate it. Yet incredible service, breakfast and very accommodating personnel. Small rooms typical of European small hotels that are not super chains. Yet since I’ve been around Europe for years I know what to expect and always look for this type of charming, well located and traditional hotels when the Bonvoy or Hilton offer the same atmosphere that anywhere else.

Impeccable location less than 5 min on foot from St Stephen's cathedral and from Graben (the main shopping street). Modest but very nice breakfast buffet, including hot bacon and eggs. The reception and breakfast staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

If we had know about the construction going on we probably would not have stayed there. Very noisy early morning until late afternoon.

Lovely and very friendly staff .In our opinion this hotel would be rated as 4 stars bed and breakfast and not a hotel as it's lacked all the facilities of a 4 stars hotel. We were very disappointing when we arrived at the hotel to see a small sign stuck on the left that there is a renovation work is been carried out as from 1/8/2019 , it would have been matter of courtesy to let us know in advance as we could have made a different arrangement or we booked a different hotel. As we walked to our bedroom we saw scaffolding outside our bedroom and builders going up and down and we had to keeps our curtains shut.

The location of Arthotel Ana Amadeus was good. We were disappointed to see scaffolding covering the facade of the building, and had workmen perched immediately outside our room. The room and bathroom were clean and brightly lit. There was generous storage space to unpack our suitcases. The amenities could have been improved; there were no wash cloths, no shampoo, no conditioner. The breakfast was ample. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful.
