I just got back from my stay at RIUBahamas.We spent 5 days!I have to say it was a great stay and vacation. The majority of the staff was great, approachable, nice, helpful like La Linda, Tori, RJ in front desk, Julian at bell desk, Julian, Basil and Lauryn at Spa, Bernise at excursions table or Marco and Keenan at bar area. That being said there were somestragglers that can do better in their customer service. The property can use some additional renovations. There is a huge empty resort building next door that can be acquired and make this a dream of a resort but if not possible they can take the huge buffet area enclose it and make a casino as there are none on property, another restaurant as its very difficult to get a reservation or even a gaming room with bowling or another bar to have additional amenities. They should have a DJ every night in there 24 hour bar or have a night club where people can dance. There is enough space to make things happen. I would say the biggest issues we experienced is the no transportation from airport to resort and back if booked thru a 3-party like Expedia. First time in Bahamas and that should be an option not just if booked thru resort. The other issue is shocking the pools with so much chlorine it itches and irritates your body. The pools close way to early (6pm) not to have enough time after hours to “shock” or clean pool and ways to maintain it during the day.Saltwater pools might be a better option.Will recommend! Amazing time!
