Hotel Poem

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Poem. The staff were amazing, always on hand to help, with no request being too large. Much Credit to the reception staff Donna and Baris, their service was fantastic. The room was spacious and clean and the location is perfect with many bars and restaurants a stone throw away. We will definitely return on our next visit to Turkey.

Loved this hotel, design is very boutique and its a fantastic location to visit the sights of the old town. Bed was very comfortable, shower great and room was small but perfectly formed. Room also had Air con which i understand in Istanbul can be a rarity. Breakfast was yum and plentiful! and hotel staff very friendly and informative. I didn't have a room with a view which was a shame as some of the rooms look to have amazing views of the city. Would definitely stay again if i was in Istanbul

I was very impressed by this brand new hotel, walking distance to everywhere, inside is modern and confirtable, the owner is beyond than nice, will definatly go back. they also offered shuttle service for only $10.

Very good friendly staff and at reception Barish and team were so kind and helpful for us from the time we landed ,though it was early check in the staff were so quick to get our rooms ready gave all information around and tips to plan out visit!!! Excellent Breakfast spread!The most memorable hotel building we came across overall very good !!!

Great small hotel central location. The staff where super friendly and made me feel very welcome. I would definitely stay there again.

Central heating system is messed up; it becomes too hot. First night, staff suggested we open window to let cool air in as heating system is new, they aren't sure about it. We opened window,which meant outside noise. Daytime, manager said we could shift room. Asked to confirm if other room’s heating is ok as its hassle to shift luggage. Manager, Gözde Özpolat, she either couldn’t understand or didn’t want to check. I requested key to other room to let me check but she wouldn’t, until we let go of first room. Anyhow we shifted. 2nd night, again uncomfortably hot in 2nd room. Couldn’t use blankets. Had to open windows. 3rd night, we turned heating off. So it was off for 2 hours, yet room continued to stay hot. Staff this night was supposedly experienced guy. He felt the temp, checked controls n said “I’ve taken notes, I’ll inform the management”. Shortly after, room lights went out n staff couldn’t bring power up. We were offered another room temporarily, leaving stuff in the existing room. Latest room also had same issue. Again, had to open window. Morning, Özpolat wanted us to shift quickly to original room, though we were to check out shortly anyways n didn’t have time. After checkout, we had to lug bags outside on our own, hotel staff just kept watching. When my wife was exiting, Özpolat commented, “Her husband looks angry”. Wow! P.S The young girl in evening was helpful; had excellent english, helped us order food, helped carry our luggage during checkin.

Hotel is in a good location and room is clean. It is fairly new and thoughtfully provides power sockets on both sides of the bed. However the toilet is a bit small; the door touches the sink tabletop when opened. You have to close the door in order to stand in front of the sink. The aircon is centrally controlled; we had to ask the hotel to switch it off in the night because it was too warm.
