Extended Stay America Washington, DC - Sterling

The staff, Luxmon, Pranaj, and Bobby are great. Super friendly and helpful. Rooms are descent and the bed was comfortable. Short walk to three good restaurants. Shopping also close by.

Quiet clean close to shops and restaurants. Soft bed good tv stations

My stay was ok. However, the smell that hits you upon entering the room is very unpleasant. Luckily, I thoroughly sanitized the entire room and bathroom for my own sanity and peace of mind. There are dust bunnies on smoke detectors and fire sprinkler. The curtains need to be washed, there were Hershey chocolate wraps under the bed. I lifted the mattress and there were crumbs. I wiped the entire room down, including the remote, phone, alarm clock, door handles, head board, etc...cleaning standards MUST be re-evaluated. Most importantly, some guests smoke just outside of the entrance and having my room on the first floor, the smell of cigarette smoke is evident, including in the lobby.

Expensive for what it was. I would not stay here again. People loud in and out at 3am, smoking ourside doors and littering. Halls smell like smoke. Hotel was out of certain kitchen essentials. Would not recommend or stay again. Carpets dirty. Mattress had boogers on it under the sheets.

Very nice. Staff were helpful but often had to multi task, which took them away from front desk area. Love the convenience of the location to shopping and restaurants. Very good value for the attractive rate offered.

You have to pay extra to login to your Netflix, Redbox, or Prime video accounts. I did this and it still didn't work. I called the online help number and they were never able to fix it, but still charged me anyways. Never again!

It is very dirty motel Room smells horrible. WiFi doesn’t work carpet so greasy it is disgusting to walk on it. Faucet fell apart when I was trying to use it. Towels and sheets not fresh too Overall very dirty and smelly

Pro: 1 Cheap, 2 kitchenette. Con: 1 Not clean. The shower had many little hairs from the previous guest, so Im guessing it was not cleaned. The floor was sticky. 2 maid service is only once a week. More frequently costs extra. 3 They advertise free wifi, but it is deliberatly made very slow. Then they offer to sell you better wifi. That is deceptive advertising.

Toilet was not clean at check in. Bed needed replacing - soft and dip in center. Room did not smell clean and carpet needed shampoo. Sheets were scratchy.
