Hampton Inn & Suites Mansfield-South @ I-71

Disappointed

This was my second stay at this location. Everything was great the first stay but not so great this second time. Looks like whoever cleaned the room was having an off day. There was garbage behind the trash cans, film on the floor under the bathroom sink/ counter area, so very much hair stuck in the plug for the tub and the worst part was the crusty rag in the corner. If your an adult you know what it was used for. I honestly just assumed the housekeeper had a bad day and didn't make a huge deal about it that night. In the morning i went to the desk to check out and attempted to let the woman know of the issue just as a courtesy as another guest may not be so forgiving. All l can say is that woman should not be allowed to communicate with guests. She was completely annoyed that I was even talking to her and basically refused to hear me out and told me to go online to leave my comments. Her attitude was so bad that another guest even made a comment about it. I sorta thought she'd want to give the housekeeper a heads up about the complaint so that they could be sure they are cleaning the room right and don't receive any more complaints. Boy was I wrong. So while the property itself is in good shape and up to date, the pool was clean and warm and they offered a pretty decent selection for breakfast, the bad attitude and pure negativity from the front desk staff that morning will keep me from staying there again.

Too much noise to relax and sleep.

This was by far the WORST experience. There was a elephant foot person who actually shook the pictures on the wall. Person went back and forth several times and when they stopped, we could hear someone’s CPAP machine with its whooshing. Then there was the noise from parking lot people talking, shutting car doors. This hotel needs some SERIOUS insulation updates.

Last minute valentines weekend getaway.

First stay for my girlfriend and I and we enjoyed it. Expected though as I have always had good stays at a Hampton Inn. The service staff were friendly. The woman who runs the breakfast area in the mornings was a delight to talk to. Room and property as a whole were clean. We enjoyed the indoor pool. Do wish there was still a hot tub, but the rinse off shower area with the wide shower head was a nice touch. We liked our stay as lot and will totally consider staying again.

Clean rooms, friendly staff and good breakfast. Kids enjoyed the pool. Would definitely stay here again!
