The Area
The charming village and sandy beach of Ornos are a few minutes away. Ornos is situated on a narrow isthmus between two sandy beaches. The strong north winds of Korfos Beach make it a popular place for kitesurfing. The sheltered cove of Ornos Beach on the southside offers protection from the strong north winds. There are sun loungers with umbrellas on the beach. You can take a boat from Ornos to nearby beaches and the island of Delos, known for its archaeological ruins.
For a more different experience, venture into the jet-set town of Mykonos. The narrow and charming cobblestone pedestrian streets are lined with white stone buildings typical of Cycladic architecture. By day, you can poke around in the shops. By night, the town offers a vibrant and busy nightlife.
Ornos has more than a dozen traditional Greek tavernas, bars, and restaurants for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. There is also a supermarket alongside a great bakery and a pharmacy.
