This was definitely a good base for our visit to Iraklio. It’s a very spacious apartment with three bedrooms, plus a very workable kitchen and a nice living space. We didn’t use the outdoor space because we were just too busy, but it’s there, if a bit small.
The apartment was relatively well appointed, thoigh we would’ve liked there to be an extra blanket made available for our son who slept on the sofa. There is AC in each of the main living spaces, which is absolutely a must in Crete for at least four months of the year, and there’s even a washer dryer. The location is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the central pedestrian area in Heraklion, which houses lots of shops and restaurants, and the rental agent was very accessible by text. Easy check-in with a code sent ahead of time, so no need to arrange to meet someone for a key handoff.
Two things that we would recommend the owner address – the mattresses were all very, very firm, which is not optimal for some people’s backs, but most critically, the Wi-Fi really doesn’t work. It made watching TV virtually impossible, and it really just wasn’t functional. That absolutely should be addressed.
We would stay there again but ask if they had fixed the WiFi before doing so!
