Extended Stay America Salt Lake City - West Valley Center

Arrived at hotel, wheelchair accessible room not available. It was requested. Told only 3 on property. My mother is 76 and could not take a shower after a 12 hour drive. Room was dirty, hair in bathtub, bugs on floor and pet excrement stains on carpet. Bed unsafe. Sat on end and the whole mattress raised up and dumped me on the floor. Pet fee was 2x anticipated 300$ for dog and cat. OUTRAGEOUS but is on website upon recheck. No coffee pots available. No toasters available. Other room STANK of septic fumes from improperly sealed toilet. Refrigerators stank from being turned off and closed between visits. Doors would not lock from the inside. Entire hotel is in SERIOUS DISREPAIR. Staff was RUDE. Cleaning person came to door and demanded to know what needed to be cleaned. She only had "15 minutes to deal with us, I am very busy". Very nasty individual. Front desk clerk was new and clueless. When another hotel was requested we were provided with a phone number and left on our own to try an find SUITABLE accommodations. We were able to move reservation to ESA in Sandy UT. We were very happy with that hotel and staff.

Regional manager and night auditor’s customer service was very poor.

Only thing short staffed but even then nice gal at counter helped me out.

The first two rooms I was issued were dirty/unlcean, the third room as acceptable. I've stayed at other extended stay's, this was one of the worst. Amber was awesome.

The room was horrible , no soap the bathroom was for deseable person

Room was dirty. Some lights didn’t work as they had nowhere to plug in. Location near the interstate is pretty noisy. Tiny lobby and always various interesting smells in the hallway.

Room was very nice and clean. Bed was great. Only thing not satisfactory was the breakfast. It only had oatmeal, muffins, coffee and snack bars. We were expecting more offerings and a room to sit in. I don't think there was even water for those who dont drink coffee like me. Otherwise it was great.

We liked it overall. The kitchenette was awesome! The bed was comfortable and the room was nice and dark. It would have been nice if they had given us a heads up about ordering dishes 'cause it took a minute to find and read the flyer about it that was in the room. We're also 90% sure that the morning coffee was from the day before. We're ok if night coffee is from the morning but 24 hour coffee on all day long isn't our thing.

Very disappointing for the price you pay. But for the situation for the day and with dogs not much else to do.
